That was really a softball interview. also, she claimed that she didn't watch the RNC and then proceeded to describe all the things she thought they did wrong at the RNC.

You mean she lied? Or was she just embellishing? Perhaps she misspoke?

I just watched the 20/20 interview. To me it was fine. I also didn't watch too much of the RNC, but you'd have to live under a rock to not know the jist of what the convention was about...just saying.

Hmmm, when will Trump be on 20/20 and get a softball interview? So far, I don't even see him on the schedule. Perhaps he'll be on late night talk shows instead.
No?
Just so you all know, I'm voting third party this round, but damned if I don't still get pissed at the press and its bias. They've stopped trying to be even.

I didn't watch a single second of the RNC, but still know pretty much everything that went on.

Trump & Pence had a softball interview on 60 Minutes last weekend. We've been without TV since Thursday because of a bad storm, was Hillary Clinton on 60 Minutes tonight?

Why would anyone spend 4 days watching speaker after speaker bashing them. It makes no sense. She has a staff that I'm sure watched the convention from beginning to end that are capable of giving her a recap.

I also didn't watch one second of the RNC and yet somehow, I feel like I have a fairly accurate view of it from various media outlets, all of which I'm sure HRC follows as well. Well, she may have skipped Andrew Sullivan's live blogging given his previously anti-Hillary hysterical rants.

I would bet a thousand bucks her campaign/staff gave her blow by blow reports and gave her links to parts they wanted her to see. SaveSave

Same here. I didn't watch it at all, but have a good grasp at what transpired by news and reading about it.
I too agree that her staff likely watched it and recapped for her.
So it looks like--according to some---every word she says is going to be a lie.

But, I agree that she's probably seen the relevant clips and gotten a comprehensive summary of it all, maybe from Bill, if he watched it. The interesting thing will be how the Democrats handle things - what changes might they have been making this weekend to address what happened last week?

I didn't watch any of the RNC and yet I could still tell you who spoke, the gist of what was said, who did well and who didn't.
My social media feed kept me well-apprised of things. I know Melanie Trump gave a speech very similar to Michelle Obama's. I know that Cruz didn't endorse Trump and said to vote your conscience. I know that people were very impressed with his kids - even the one who was more liberal leaning. I know that Chachi was there for some unfathomable reason (maybe if I had watched I would have understood why). I know that Trump made a grand entrance in front of a huge array of American flags and under his name in huge, gigantic letters.
And yet, I didn't watch a second of it!
I'm guessing that she had staff to tell her the important thing, or maybe she just scrolled down her Facebook feed in her downtime like I did.

I'm not defending the mainstream media here at all, but it is pretty clear through the primary cycle Trump had way more media attention and air time than any of the other candidate, Republican or Democratic. This NY Times article has the stats up to March where Trump paid $10 million for ads and $2 billion worth of free press compared to Clinton with $28 millon bought and $746 million free press. Granted not all free press is positive, but that goes for both the top candidates. My big wish is that Trump would say something substantive in an interview and lay out an actual plan for making America great again. SaveSave

I'm not really sure what you are talking about. What channels do you watch? Donald trump is constantly calling in to news stations to give his two cents worth, and has had lots of interviews. Half an hour of meet he press today was dedicated to Donald trump. And they are all "soft" interviews in my opinion. I'm guessing because when they ask him tough questions, he deflects and goes on a tirade about something totally off topic.

Lots of people here who didn't watch the RNC yet had one heck of a lot to say about it.
I wouldn't let my kid use CliffsNotes for a book report, and I"m not going to take the accuracy of the word of people who don't bother to watch an event but postulate opinions about every single bit of it.

@mytnice the Conan clips are hysterical, but really mock the fact that most TV stations are owned by one of three media conglomerates, which is not the same thing as the big networks. This article includes another Conan clip and talks about how different networks are sharing staff & stories. To offer one example, CBS and NBC affiliates in Syracuse, New York, use separate anchor teams but run nearly identical stories produced by a shared group of reporters. In some markets, partner stations run virtually identical newscasts, albeit at different times. And then there are stations like the CBS and NBC affiliates in Honolulu, which don't even bother staggering the times: They run identical newscasts simultaneously.
IMHO, the most shocking takeaway from the headlines is someone at NBC can't spell journey . I watched Trump's speech and agree with the headlines. Why wouldn't they be similar if reporting the same story?

I didn't watch a single second of the RNC, but still know pretty much everything that went on. Liar! --------------------------- I didn't watch the convention. I used to watch conventions, but I can't stand the new brand of Talking Head coverage. I did follow the news, read transcripts of speeches by Mrs. Trump and Governor Pence, listened to Mr. Trump's speech on the radio, and read and posted here. Seriously, Hillary Clinton is one very busy woman. I'm guessing she did things like I did....except she also has a staff that briefs her...and she probably didn't post here. (But she definitely read all the convention threads here. ) I swear, the woman could say she ate breakfast and somebody would call her a liar.
