I would live with it for a while & just let it simmer, you will figure out what to do.
as a side note: A lot of others have said black countertop....please give that one ALOT of thought. We have a 1960's black/white bathroom with the original tile floor & we had to replace the countertop & went with BLACK...UGH, worst decision ever...every dust particle, water spot, hairspray shows up on it. My husband picked it out & he regrets it everyday.

I wouldn't make redecorating decisions based on that tile unless I liked the tile enough to live with it for the next ten years or so.
I would wait to redecorate until I had saved enough to replace everything in the bathroom that wasn't my style. In our 26 years' of marriage, my husband and I have tried many times to decorate around something we didn't really like (ugly kitchen cabinets, a bathroom that was poorly laid out, etc.) and every time we have regretted not waiting until we could afford to redecorate the entire room.
Congrats on your new house!

I'd pull the tile, sand the walls and then paint. Or cover with beadboard? Then you could redo the sink and fixtures and not have to coordinate with that tile. I agree! If you have the $$ to replace the countertop, then pull off the tile and beadboard over the flaws in the drywall. That isn't too expensive to do. You don't need tile there.

You all are so great! Thank you for so many ideas! And thank you @malleykat for those pics because I have a hard time picturing things in my head. And I love the Save the Pink Bathroom link haha. Funny thing is this pink bathroom is no more than 10 years old! Here are a couple more photos so you can see how the current homeowner loves the pink (she built the house so she chose it). OMGosh I didn't realize that bathroom had so much tile. I vote for Malleycat's number 1 picture. It tones down the tile the best.

I love pink. But if it is too much for you, replace what really needs replacing or that which is bugging you. Malley Cat did some great switching for you. Congrats on your new home.

Wow. That is just...wow. I would wait till I could gut it. I wouldn't want to put money into it, and not be able to really love it, and I would never really love it with that tile!

I was reading through the comments and the grey paint sounds good.
We just painted our oldest son's room, who has a chair rail separating the top from the bottom; two separate greys. Using Sherwin Williams paint, Lazy Grey on the top (light) and Serious Grey on the bottom. And we painted one wall some red color. I think it is either Raven Red or Brick Red. That was to match his comforter set.

Here's what I would do:
1) remove the half wall between the toilet and cabinets - the tile on it isn't going to look good next to any countertop you pick, so I would get rid of it
2) identify the primary color (other than pink) in the tile - I can't tell if it's beige or grey. I would match it as best I can and paint the walls a lighter version of it
3) I would paint the cabinets a darker version of that color (beige or grey) to make them pop
4) Put in a light, neutral countertop. I wouldn't go dark because in a bathroom they show every hair and dust speck.
5) Replace the light fixture above the mirror with two fixtures
6) Replace the sink fixtures with something in chrome or satin nickel and match the cabinet hardware to it
7) trim out the mirror with the same color used on the cabinets

Me, I love the pink countertop. Lol. The walls are too much though. I'm weird, I know. Sitting on the weird bench with you I think the tile is way uglier than the countertop. I'd much rather embrace the hell out of the countertop Save

I hope you keep us posted with photos as you update this bath.

If you don't have the funds right now to do a total renovation, I would do small relatively inexpensive things.
I'd make lemonade out of lemons and play with the pinks. I would paint the walls a parrot green and go with hot pink accessories, keep the cabinets white and add pops of navy blue. Think of a Lily Pulitzer print.

It's only ten years old? Someone finally got their Barbie Dreamhouse! I have relatives with a similar counter. Their tile is slightly less patterned, and they have brassy fixtures too. They built their house approx 1972! Accents tend to be crafts show doilies and silk flowers. Anyplace else it would give me the willies, but it looks like them and I love it.

Wow - the countertop seems to be the biggest issue for me. Although the additional mirrors over the tub are not great either.
I like the 3rd picture that Malley posted with the gray cabinets being slighter lighter.
I would also not do a print curtain or shower curtain, the marble is busy enough.
Please tell me you are keeping the mermaid?!

So many great ideas! Thank you everyone! That triple mirror thing is a medicine cabinet. That's going. Husband thinks it will be in his way when he pees. I kind of like the half wall between the toilet and vanity. It blocks the view of the toilet and hopefully helps prevent germ transfer haha. A couple of other odd quirks about this house: there's a steamer oven (and a regular one too thank goodness) that the realtor told me the owner really wanted but then has never used (it looks brand new inside), and they only have a refrigerator, no freezer, in the kitchen. I was all, "Where am I supposed to keep my ice cream?" . Easy enough to buy a new appliance though. The house and landscaping are so pretty (other than the bathroom) and the location is perfect for us.
