I had so many threads saved - ones with info about places I plan on visiting, and so many other things with great information that I was saving for "when I needed it". There is no way on earth I will be able to copy them all. So those ones are the ones I'll end up missing.

I wonder about the woman whose son was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I did pea mail her and hopefully will hear something before July 10th. She was one of only about 8 people who I actually Pea Mail, which is why it was annoying to me that Two Peas thought that was going to be good for us all to connect.

I will miss the what to make for Christmas or the thread from the pea that makes presents for her grandmother to give her family. Also some of the recipe threads that I had bookmarked. I know there were a ton of other ones. Like the it isn't Christmas until this thread is bumped kind of thing. 2peas was a big part of my life. I wish now I had documented it and taken at least a few screenshots. It was deserving of a scrapbook page. I know I actually still scrapbook.
I don't scrapbook much these days but loved glitter girl and some of the challenges and kept hoping that I would actually do one of them and post on one of them. I really liked the frozen peas and the use your stash challenges. I am sure that there are similar challenges elsewhere I will just miss some of the posters that probably won't land here.

<<I also immediately thought of needmysanity and her situation with her son moving into the girlfriends house and then calling on Sunday to say that girlfriends dad told him he had to leave and then son and girlfriend messaging on fb, etc. I am praying for her and her situation as well.>>
I'm here...
GF's dad didn't let him move back in. He spent Sunday night in a hotel and now he is at a friends house. He is hell bent on doing this on his own and isn't ready to come home (even though we have offered). Still no phone.. I message him on FB every night just to say hi and let him know I worry about him. Thanks for the continued prayers.

I did not see the thread on peas, but I will be praying for this boy and his mom, too. Do you remember the pea who posted the thread. It's leopardmama, and I've been trying to Pea Mail her but keep getting an error message. The one I *thought* I send didn't go through.

With the closing of 2p's, I got nervous that I would never get an update on Bethanne. I know she is not doing well, but I wanted to know when it happened, I guess. I pray for her daily. I also immediately thought of needmysanity and her situation with her son moving into the girlfriends house and then calling on Sunday to say that girlfriends dad told him he had to leave and then son and girlfriend messaging on fb, etc. I am praying for her and her situation as well. So, what updates are you looking for? You just mentioned the TWO situations I first thought that I'd never find know what happened. Bethanne & needmysanity's son.

I still worry about and pray for the lovely woman who's son was missing for a while in Santa Rosa. I truly hope they are all ok and things have worked out. It was heart breaking and I just hope she is holding up ok.

Um, I actually saved the thread for Yvonne's rice:
I make good rice.
Long grain rice only. I prefer Mahatma brand. The grains are nice and unbroken unlike the cheaper brands.
For a nice amount to serve..hmm...5 maybe?
Use a regular sized coffee mug (not one of those giant ones, just a regular size). and fill it with rice (not rinsed, anything).
Pour some canola oil in the skillet, about..two passes. Not too much, but enough to coat all the grains nicely
Medium high heat, brown the rice until it's just lightly golden and toasty. About halfway through you can add in some fine chopped onion and fresh garlic about a mediumish minced clove to brown along with the rice.
Then add two of those same coffee mugs full of water.
Add about 1/2 - 3/4 small can of tomato sauce.
Season: salt, pepper to taste (taste it). If you didn't add the garlic, then add about 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and about 1/4 tsp of ground cumin. (if you used the fresh garlic, omit the powder)
Cover tightly, cook for about 18-20 minutes on low heat. Don't disturb, don't lift the lid.
Perfect arroz.
You can:
Add some fine chopped tomatoes, a little sprinkling of frozen peas (for color, and you can also substitute chicken broth for the water if you like.
Rice isn't hard, don't make it more complicated than that, you don't have to.
Try it and let me know how you like it.
<edited the amount of cumin>
