I can't even believe it but I really like this game. I think the main reason is my kids. Talking with them about it, looking for pokemon, visiting stops with lures on them, battling and putting pokemon in gyms, and now ds wants to ride bikes every day. I think we used our bikes twice last year. I used to have to kill 2 hours by myself every monday night while dd is in dance but now ds wants to come along and honestly, it's nice to have company. Even though we've always been close and binge-watch shows together every night I like having this in common with him (oldest dd plays but she doesn't get into it like ds does).
BUT my pokemon go days might be numbered. My phone is rooted (for apps that make backing up better and for customization options) and the new update won't work with rooted phones. For now I'm not going to update but I have a feeling that it won't be long before the older version won't work.

I'm still playing (92 different ones in my pokedex so far, so I hope they will come up with a generation 2 update.) and DD10 and DH do too.

I've never heard of a rooted phone.
But I still play, occasionally bc like you I have a teenager and it allows us something in common. Since our lives are pretty much routine like, we are only seeing the same ones which is getting old. The restaraunt where we ate Sunday had a stop with lures soo we broke the no phone at dinner rule and played while we ate.

Still playing. Still love it. The dogs love it. We have walked many more miles than we otherwise would have. I am level 20.

Still playing, but have slowed down. I need to go to a different environment - sick of seeing the same ones all the time. And . . . OMFG can we be done with Ratata? And Drowzee?

And it is a bit sad (since I'm an adult and all ) that I was seriously upset yesterday when I spotted my first Mr Mime....and then I got an error message (for the first time ) and when I got the game up and running again, Mr Mime was nowhere to be seen. I may or may not have sulked....

I am. 😀 in fact when I went to Pittsburgh last week I discovered that my parents house is practically on top of an Evie nest so that was fun. And this past weekend I participated in our neighborhood yard sale. Our one-block square park has FOUR pokestops in it and a gym. And right now the nest is Geodude. Here's the screen shot I sent dd after I'd been there for several hours. Lol SaveSave

I am but it is really hard in our town to get more than what I already have. I've evolved almost everything I have and rarely see anything I need. Looking forward to going on a trip next month to see if I can find different ones in a different state.

My family still plays. DH & I probably play more than ds now because we're the ones who have to do the waiting/walking around while in town for kid activities. But ds and I took a 90 minute walk on Sunday morning while waiting for dd at her diving class. I caught an electorb which brings me to 115 different types found. I don't really care about the buddy update. It's going to be a long wait until the 2nd gen releases and I think most everyone is so over pidgies, weedles and ratatas!

Still playing. DH and I are very competitive so I think that is what drives us. We can't get any spawns at our house, but we can use the tracker for things close by (sometimes...when it works). There was a Snorlax in the number one spot on the tracker and I yelled, "Snorlax, mobilize!" We went and found him on the corner. Tracking does not seem to be working as well the past couple of days. He is dying for the buddy update. My Pokedex is 121/121, but some of them are real duds!

Not really. I get tired of only seeing the same ones. DD still likes it though. She's always sending me screen shots of new ones she caught.

Yup. Level 22. I have only caught 6 Drowzees but am fine with never seeing a Paras again.

I haven't ever played, but I am an enabler for my 15 y/o son.
I routinely take detours while driving and occasionally pull over for him to take advantage of some part of the game. We've also been hunting new venues for him. That led us to the state park one Saturday where we got in a very long walk with really nice views of the lake.
We also hit up a national park on Sunday and discovered it was a hotbed (all historical markers tend to be PokeGyms). As we walked the trails, we read all the markers and picked up some new knowledge. So... PokemonGo, exercise, and history all in one venture? I'll take it. Lol.

I rarely play video games, but love love love this game. It's great fun on my daily power walks as well as something to share with the Grands.
I also like finding the Pokestops at historical markers, including one about 34 Confederate soldiers re-interred in the Christ Church cemetery in Old Town and one about a "colored" school created in 1880 for children of former slaves.

I've never played it, but I've been cracking up the past few weeks. A friend of mine (my age) just got back from a multi week trip to Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. She was posting Pokemon captures on Instagram periodically throughout the trip. That's dedication

And Pidgey, Caterpie and Weedle? All that and also, Venonat around here. I'm at level 19 and am planning to use my last lucky egg soon to evolve a few and level up. I should get 2 more lucky eggs and, thank goodness, 2 more incubators. It's harder to get motivated to move when I know only one egg is incubating. My pokedex is only at 68. In our rural area we don't have a ton of variety. We'll be going to another town soon where ds claims there is a Magikarp nest. He really wants Gyrados and it takes a lot of candy. He's also collecting as many Gastly (and Haunter if he can find them) as he can because Gengar is is favorite pokemon. I can't believe I know all this.

How did you get those? eta: just read that there are 151 total in the pokedex.

I play when I have time. At present, I leave a little early for class and hit up an area that has a few stops that I can pick up some poke balls in one location.
My son was the impetus. I enjoy going out together. Yet, I don't mind going by myself. I've dragged my husband along too. He doesn't get it. We went to a locale that has 8 pokestops on one block and a few on the next block. He hasn't been so negative since that trip, because there were people of all ages. Helped him realize it isn't just a kid thing.
I love Pidgie. I know he is common. He's just too cute. Same with Evee. I always keep a Pidgie and Evee on my Pokemon list. LOL!
Haven't tried a gym yet.

I don't play (no kids, middle-aged, technologically illiterate) but I think it is awesome that this game is providing ways for y'all to spend time and bond with your kids. Someday you'll all look back and laugh and have such happy memories of 2016 and Pokemon Go!

And Pidgey, Caterpie and Weedle? Don't be done with these. These are the best to use to level up. Catch as many as you can. When you have around 400 pidgey or a combination of all of them use a double xp egg and evolve them. You will receive double xp for evolving each pidgey. Just evolve the the cheap ones.

It takes 400 Magikarp candy to evolve one to Gyrados. omg. When dd was home this summer and I was taking her to physical therapy three times a week we discovered that the parking lot at that medical building was a Magikarp nest. Since it was so stinking hot out and dd was on crutches there wasn't much she could do for entertainment. So we would go to PT early and sit in the parking lot catching Magikarp. lol. Even with that I only have 78. It's a long way to 400. And I can't go over there myself and sit and catch them because that parking lot is handicapped only, and the nest doesn't extend to the garage. lol SaveSave

I've been hatching a few Magikarp from 2 km eggs (and you get more candy that way than catching them), but I'm months away from a Gyarados. Luckily, I'm going to spend a few hours in Oslo on Thursday before DH and I travel to Brussels, and I have hopes of finding some good ones (DH caught a Scyther, Seadra and a Cubone on his way to work today). And I have been playing pokemon for more than a decade (first with DS and now with DD....and even the years between, I can probably talk about pokemon for at least an hour).

DS updated today and is now walking with a Magikarp. We went bike riding for about 30 minutes and Magikarp found one candy. lol. My 2k egg hatched a pidgey. SMH And I have been playing pokemon for more than a decade (first with DS and now with DD....and even the years between, I can probably talk about pokemon for at least an hour). The card game or video game? DS has been playing the card game in weekly leagues and tournaments throughout the year for about 10 yrs. He went to Ohio for the last tournament (luckily his league leader is his bff's dad and I trust them). DD plays the video game but not in tournaments. DS is talking about entering the video game tournament next time (I think the next big one is in November-black friday weekend).

Yes, I'm still playing. I collect whatever is available (Pidgey spam!) and save everything to evolve when I use a lucky egg. Those double points really to a long way toward a new level. I'm level 22, and have even taken over a couple of gyms in our area. (Says the person who never participated and resented the family's gaming obsessions.)
It's fun to see what new Pokemon you find outside of your own area. I stayed at San Diego harbor recently, and got lots of water Pokemon. My newest catch is an Onix. I still don't have a Charmander, but I see its shadow nearby every now and then. Someday...
