A whole year is crazy but I love her style and would probably consider it.
I've never had a problem with SC. When there has been an issue with an order or a product, they've always fixed it right away.

I'm going to wait too. I have lots of her stamps (which I love and use frequetly) and stopped ordering them because they were mostly of her handwriting (the more recent ones). I figure I'll order what I like instead of locking myself into a subscription.

$20 to $25 a month for a 4 x 6 stamp set? with a 12 to 6 month commitment? That's way too much money for such a small stamp set.

I like AE but I am concerned about the cancellation policy and not seeing the product - I also don't know how many sets of her stamps I need, her style seems to be repetitive and basic.

i loved ali when I 1st started scrapping and her videos taught me a lot. She has already designed for SC so why would she do this? Isnt it the same thing as designing for them if they are handling the customers, etc? I dont follow many blogs so Im probably not her target audience anyway.
I subscribe to SC and love the product but the customer service is horrible. Ive started with Gossamer Blue and they have the best of both worlds.

FWIW, Ali said over on the Studio Calico boards that some new stamps similar to her subscription ones would be on the blog this week. She wanted to give people a sense of the style. I totally agree about not wanting to buy things completely sight unseen, but I less "get" why having SC run the technology side of her website would be a turn off for some people. But///I've also had amazing customer service experience at SC - replacing things in one conversation, receiving thank you cards, etc - so I guess if someone has repeatedly not had that it experience they'd be apprehensive.

I love Ali, so I'm super excited to see all of her new ideas! I do have to agree with Tracie Claiborne, however -- I liked her blog the old way, when it was just one big blog, not divided into two sections.

After looking at the video for the Story Kit does anyone else think it's going to be another PL type kit with journaling and insert cards? I am overrun with PL cards now between the core kits, BH mini kits and a monthly subscription I already have. As much as I may like AE's style I just can't see myself committing to another one when I have so much unused PL product now. Plus, the stamp is a separate monthly kit, so I would need the Story Kit and Stamp Story Kit. At least my current subscription includes the stamp.

I'm not sure about the story kit but apparently there are going to be some stamps listed in the shop which are similar to those that will be in the stamp sets. It sounds like a mix of stamps both in Ali's handwriting and other fonts.
Still not sure about the concept. I do mostly computer journaling and can make any title I want with my cricut.

Did I miss something? Where is there a video about the story kit? After seeing doti's post, above, I went back to Ali's site and looked for it, but I don't see one. Can someone point me to it?

AE answered questions on the Studio Calico forum and said: Hi there's a sneak peek on the pre-order page right now (it's been there since the site went up). The shop will also be opening soon - there you'll find some 4x6 stamp sets that will be similar in style to what you'll find with the Story Stamps. It will usually be a mixture of my handwriting and fonts and will be structured around a specific theme each month. Each theme will be something designed to evoke multiple stories from past, present and future - hopefully getting you in great to get more of these things documented...'
