I prefer to vote on Election Day; however, this election is so important I'm voting early so if anything comes up, I don't miss my chance to vote. Early voting starts here October 20. Same here...I prefer voting on Election Day but I live in a big city and it can take hours to vote on Presidential elections (one year, it took me 6 hours due to the long line). I do prefer to vote on Election Day but my schedule has been so busy that I plan to vote early, just to be sure I have my chance at voting. Our early voting opens tomorrow and I just so happen to be off, so I plan on getting over there to vote.

I'll vote on the day. I keep hoping something good will happen before then, like my dh agreeing to move to Denmark.

I mailed in my ballot a little over a week ago. It's the second time I voted early by getting an absentee ballot. My daughter in college needed one, so I filled out the form for myself too. My husband just mailed in his form for a ballot too. In the past 2 1/2 years I've had three medical events that have prompted me to drop everything and tend to the family members having an emergency situation. Two of them had me leaving town for a few days each. After something like that it got me thinking that life doesn't always go as planned. It's important to me to vote, so I want to make sure I get it done. I do like going to vote on Election Day though. You feel like you are part of something big. You don't get that feeling dropping it into a mailbox.
