we got ours at Home Depot a number of years ago. It doesn't exactly look 'real' since it has different types of foliage mixed together, and fake berries on some of the branches (it looks lots better than how I'm describing it, lol) but it IS nice looking when it's decorated. eta: just my preference, but I don't think I'd ever get a pre-lit tree... my parents have one like that, and part of the lights stopped working-- so then, what do you do? either get rid of it, or put your own lights on anyway. I'd rather just put the lights on myself than have problems with the lights already on the tree. You get one of those $20 light string tester gun things, plug the string of lights into it and find the bad one. Switch out that one bulb and you're back in business. Works on prelit tree sections too. We always get a real tree for our main tree, but I bought a 6' cheapie prelit fake one for my studio. Some years I set it up down there, the last couple years I set it up in my bedroom. It only has colored lights but I only like colored lights so for the money it worked for me.

Hmm I don't have a local Hobby Lobby but I do have a Joann's. I wonder if they would have nice trees? Our Joann doesn't sell trees. I got mine at KMart about 15 or more years ago and it still looks good even though my husband has to put it together. I use lots of different types of lights so I don't like prelit trees.

We got ours at Costco. It' has clear lights on it but I still Have to add some colored lights in motion. It's a very nice tree though.

I bought a 7.5 ft pre-lit cascading tree at a holiday specialty store in fall 2002. It wasn't inexpensive, but looks realistic with a beautiful shape, is relatively easy to assemble, & has never needed a bulb replaced {knock on wood}; I ♥️ it!

I bought ours Black Friday at Michael's a few years ago. I had a hard time because I was looking for a 9-foot that didn't cost $500 and they had one that fit the bill. 6 or 7 foot and you will have mounds of choices. I found lots at Home Depot that were beautiful, just not big enough. Ours is prelit with white lights but we have a couple of strands of lights that can be white or color. They are really easy to put up because I don't feel like I have to wrap the branches and really position them perfectly since the prelit lights are already there. I basically zig zag them down the tree and just lay them on the branches and it works. Satisfies me that prefers all white and my DH who likes color.

Hobby Lobby!!! Hands down. Well unless you want one that is really expensive and screams real and you can only get like at a specialty store....Hobby Lobby is the next best thing.

Mine is from Michaels and I've been very happy with it. I watched for it to be on sale and had a coupon as well (one of those occasions where you get 25% off everything including sale) so it was affordable.

I would have never thought of Michaels, I'll take a look there too.
I think I may wait until black Friday to make the rounds to the stores and look. Knowing me, the type of tree I want is going to be expensive so maybe on that day I can get a better price. Michael's, Home Depot, Lowes, Sam's, Target, Walmart, and Joann are all within a reasonable driving distance so I'll just make a day of it!

I've had horrible luck with real trees that last couple of years and so I've decided that this will be the year I get a fake tree. I've been looking online and in store at Target and Wal Mart and I'm not impressed. Hopefully the selection will improve as it gets closer to Christmas. But, were else can I look for a fake tree? I want something nicer that doesn't scream "I'm a cheap fake tree!". Ideally the tree will be 6 feet or under, have big gaps so I can hang my large ornaments and be less than $200. I bought mine at Joann's!

I don't know if you have a Menard's in your area but our current one is from there. Pre lit and still going strong after 4 years. Before that, I had one from hobby lobby that lasted 5 years before the lights went out and I gave up trying to find the burnt one.
