Mustard. Anyone who chooses cheese over mustard must be shunned. Cheese always trumps mustard. Shun away!

Mustard! (or butter - that's the way I used to eat them as a kid)

If it's a genuine Philadelphia soft pretzel - which is nothing like Auntie Anne's - it's got to have plain yellow mustard. Squeezed on top. To dip would be too much mustard.
If it's Auntie Anne's, I'll either have a plain one with no sauce or a cinnamon sugar pretzel.
Superpretzels are not worth eating, IMHO. They do nothing for me.

Auntie Ann's cinnamon sugar would be my favorite but if I want a real soft pretzel, Auntie Ann's isn't anything like a real soft pretzel, I would use mustard.

cheese.. but not the cheese they sell with the pretzels. It needs to be good old cheese whiz.

We're a mixed house - DH prefers mustard, I go for the cheese. Amazingly, he hasn't shunned me quite yet.

Oh God. BUTTER ON A FECKING PRETZEL. Now I shall start the shunning. Cheese lovers, you are exonerated. Butter. On a pretzel. I gagged just imagining the horror of that in my mouth.
Schizo, I'm certain you are a lovely person, but that's a crime.

I'm a cheese girl. I prefer cheese to be on pretty much everything I eat. The rest of my household prefers mustard.

Sams club food counter. Best soft pretzels. And with BUTTER and garlic salt. Dipped in crappy cheese sauce product. My heart beat slows just thinking about it.

Beer mustard with the seeds in it. No salt on pretzel either.

Cheese please! Never mustard, or as my kids say musTURD! DH is the only one in our house that eats mustard, and it's usually to drown out the flavor of something nasty like bologna or hot dogs.

I am a pretzel purist. No sauce. Just lots and lots of salt. And when I ask you for the one with lots of salt, don't give me the one with like 3 little sad-ass pieces.

Plain (no salt) with yellow mustard. Yum! Hmmm. Wonder if I can talk DH into making a pretzel run.

I prefer deli mustard but I will settle for yellow mustard if I must. A nice salted soft pretzel is naked without mustard.

Plain cheese...not the nacho or jalepeno kind.
Or warm cream cheese. Sometimes I'll mix the 2. Oh.Mah.Gah.

German sweet hot mustard. But I'll only eat them from the German place that catered our wedding. Soft, squishy on the inside and crisp on the outside with medium salt. Yummmmmmmmmmm
