I love a lot of the shopping haul videos I see on youtube. I don't need more scrapbook stuff, but I still like to see what people, got, the good deals out there, new stuff etc. There are some people I love to hate that I still watch lol. Many I know will NEVER use all they buy (but then again, do any of us?) Anyone else watch?

I like watching the warehouse sale hauls. I live in Canada so none are near me.

I don't watch them. I feel like I haul enough stuff to keep myself entertained. besides, I just don't have the patience to sit through each...and...every...item they got in their haul.

I only like watching sb hauls where the person is well prepared, and does not over-describe.
Please do not give me stories with every single item. I don't need to know the individual name of every single thing in a product line, and I don't need a 5-10 minute story before showing the haul.
And....we are not best friends, I do not need an elaborate description of what you did today and the day before.
Needless to say I fast-forward on a lot of YT hauls.

The other thing I find slightly frustrating is the line by line description of say all the journaling cards. I do a lot of forwarding!

I didn't have a video but I did have a photo. Do you want to see it if it still exists? It might be gone for good.

There's not many I can watch anymore. I like watching kit unpacking videos though. I love watching mercy tiaras and Nicolejones911 for Scraptastic kits. Even though I get those kits also, I like seeing their reactions to the same products I get each month.

I have watched a few of them, but to me if you've seen one, you've seen them all. When they take the items out one by one, the crackling of the packaging drives me completely bananas! Just freaking spread out your stuff, describe a few of the highlights and be done with it. Why and how did these get started, and why do they need to go on for 20 minutes?
As for the warehouse buys and kits, that's a different story. The ones I've seen have been more focused and the products are a lot more interesting.

I admit, I love watching hauls. Some details drive me nuts, like just open the package! But I like seeing the product in someone's hands before I order it online. I'm TERRIBLE with estimating the size of anything, even if you say, "It's the size of a quarter!" so it's a huge plus for me to see what it looks like in someone else's hands and compared to other products I might already own. I've also found out about sales this way, or new websites I didn't know about. Sometimes, though, I just use the hauls for background noise while I'm crafting.

If it's a person, I follow for their projects, then I usually like their haul videos. With all the stores gone in my area, it's nice to see what things look like.

I like all kinds of haul videos; scrap stuff, makeup, clothes, books the list goes on. I tend to watch videos by people who I've watched in the past, so I already know their style.

I've only attempted to watch a haul a couple times but quickly got bored. I do however, like to hear about a great deal someone got that I may have a chance to snag myself.
I loved Linda's video - thanks for posting that link? That was hilarious and so true!

I used to watch them. I do watch the new product videos on bluemoonscrapbooking though. I think they do a great job of describing new products in a short period of time. But, to just see what a stranger just bought? Nope. Not in years.

I don't watch them - never really have.
The only exception is when I was wondering about ordering a ware house then I'd look to see what others got - otherwise not my thing.

I used to like the bits at the beginning of Glitter Girl videos where she went through all the products. So much looks different in online images, it was good to see them in real life. There were some things I bought that I would never have thought of, and other things it helped me avoid!

I don't have a LSS so I like to watch them to see close up views of papers and embellishments. I also like to see what other people buy and I have found a couple of items that I have absolutely loved that way. If it's too annoying I mute and knit while I'm watching. I get the best of both of my crafty worlds that way

With a whole site dedicated to makeup guru gossip (gurugossip.com) I'm kind of surprised there's not more trashing of the people who make a ton of haul videos.

I make haul videos, and I like to watch them. Especially with the commonality of CGI mock-up product pictures when ordering online, product hauls are the only way a lot of us actually get to see the real stuff as it is packaged. Watching videos for a new line I'm interested in has saved me the surprise of seeing that the items are half the size I expected, or a completely different colour than they appear online. For my videos, I do try to not make any small talk, and describe each item briefly to highlight things that may not be apparent -- like thickness and texture. I do like to flip through die cut packages, because seeing a whole set of die cuts (or other small embellishments) in reflective plastic/cellophane packaging really doesn't help illustrate what you get.

I prefer when stores do that, though. Showing what a product is and what all you get, stuff like that. There are some good ones, like the gal from Paperclipping, that you get to see the real stuff at CHA and then you can decide to order it or not. I think individual bloggers are so inconsitent in what they show, how they talk about it, that it just gets tedious for me. I mean, really, if it's Recollections stuff from Michael's? It's not like you've gotten the best of the best there. Some of the quality on that stuff is terrible, and they offer coupons all the time, you're not really showing us something amazing.
