Or maybe everyone is out partying? Honestly, I have done practically nothing all day. I took my dog for a walk. I went to buy gelato and wine. I took my dog for another walk, along with a friend of hers whose owners are away for the day. I fed my dog dinner, and her friend also. I raked leaves. I made carrot soup for myself for dinner, in my lovely pressure cooker. And that is it. No cleaning (which is what i said I was going to do this morning, in the music thread), no laundry, nothing. I bummed around on the internet, I read almost an entire book, I did some coloring. Now I'm going to eat some of that gelato and watch a movie, the second "Independence Day" I think. What are your exciting Saturday night plans?

I had a lot of errands to run this morning, then out to lunch with dh and dd and then home to set up the new laptop I bought this morning. Now I'm alternately playing on it while playing Bejeweled Blitz on my phone. The dog is snoring on the other end of the couch while dh is on the love seat half asleep and half watching tv. DD is in her room face timing with a friend.
So pretty lazy here.

Enforced boredom while I heal from surgery. I went for a walk today, only about a mile and a half, but it was much needed. Still, I can't do much with my arms and it's very very boring! I'm getting sick of TV and the internet and books. I wish I was camping or something.

Kids are gaming. I'm relaxing after a long craft show. DH is settling down to watch the Michigan-Iowa game.
Lazy night is right.

Pretty low key around the Crazy household today too. DH has been off at the deer shack sitting in a stand all week contemplating nature (which is what you do when you don't see any deer) enjoying the unseasonably warm weather and will be home tomorrow. DD and I have been more or less laying low fighting off a stupid junky cough watching videos and otherwise not doing much. I did break down and shampoo the family room carpet today because it was gross and I just couldn't stand it anymore.
DD has been wanting chicken soup without all the stuff she doesn't like in it and we forgot to buy some when we were at the store this week, so I took the carcass of a rotisserie chicken we bought at Costco and experimented with making homemade broth for soup out of it in the Instant Pot. We'll see how that goes.

Went furniture hunting today. Came home, made dinner. Now I'm relaxing and watching the UFC Prelims. It's Fight Night in my home so my husband and I will be up late watching UFC 205. Tomorrow will be my lazy stay in pajamas day.

We have 5 13 year old girls here for a spa-birthday sleepover. I'm hiding in the man cave to watch the Michigan-Iowa game.

We'll see how that goes. I made a fantastic chicken noodle soup in my IP a few days ago. I used the meat from a Costco chicken, then just carrots, celery, onions, and egg noodles. For the broth I used the kind that comes in a box, six boxes to the case, from Costco. It's quite good. I do still have my chicken carcass though so I should try making some broth from that. Why not, since I call my IP my "Magic Pot". lol

We did 101 things and 100 of them went wrong, so we are closed up in the house watching TV and going to bed early.

My husband got rid of the flowering plants that got killed by frost last night (amazing how long the potted stuff lasted this year!) and got those empty pots into the garage and then rearranged the still living ones. I did some shopping today and then brought home food for both of us earlier. I read the newspapers and sorted a pile of papers but haven't done much else since. I'm thinking about making some popcorn. I love lazy, relaxed time at home, and since the last couple of weeks have been super busy and the next couple also seem loaded with extra meetings and things to get done, I'm not feeling at all guilty that we didn't go to the school fundraiser tonight.

I got sushi for dinner, but we don't like Japanese food any longer. I was told! Ok any time the crown prince wants to choose what to eat for dinner, let me know. I will let him shop accordingly. We can't *ever* go out to eat because he doesn't like restaurant food. This is NOT a new gripe but one that has existed forever. I would have been just as happy with French toast. Wouldn't like that either, though.
I needed to go get alterations done today (she is only open Tues, Thur, and Sat) and I didn't feel like driving that far. There was a craft fair I wanted to go to but didn't feel like that either.
That said I have another UTI (this is the 2nd or 3rd in the last little while) and my third course of antibiotics and I am getting kind of ticked off and sick of taking pills. Plus the having to pee 3000 times a day is OLD now. So I guess I have an excuse. BFF gave me the reason that I wasn't feeling well so I am going to go with it.

Kind of feeling guilty that I didn't do a darn thing today. I broke my shoulder (greater tuberosity) at work two weeks ago and haven't had a good night's sleep since. Last night, finally, I slept and slept and slept. I'm actually thinking about going to bed again.

Yep. College-student DD went to the ER late Thursday with a kidney stone & infection and was discharged this morning, although the stone hasn't appeared. So tonight we're chillin' in a hotel so I can keep an eye on her for another night before heading back home. We're both pretty pooped and just happy to have real beds with lots of comfy pillows, and no one storming in and turning on all the lights every couple of hours.

I love being lazy when it is my choice. A mile and a half is a pretty good walk so soon after surgery though. Good for you.

My family is out of town all weekend. ( I think I posted that on three different threads. I just like to say it.) I went to a holiday Expo and did some unexpected Christmas shopping and then walked the dogs. I plan on being a Lethargarian until they all come home late tomorrow.

Broken shoulders I assume are much like broken feet and arms. They suck pretty badly. Hope you feel better and can sleep well soon, like tonight. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Is it warm enough to camp where you are? You could camp this weekend here because it hasn't rained much if at all. It was warm outside today. This is unusual as November is our rainiest month next to Dec, Jan, Feb and sometimes March. (That means all fall and winter included...)

We just finished watching two wonderful documentaries on Netflix. One was all about poaching elephants and the illegal ivory trade. I think it just came out. The other was about a famous and brilliant female scientist who studies the oceans. She is still diving and she is in her 70s. Very very interesting.

Yes, I'm being lazy tonight. I worked on and finally finished 24 Christmas cards I've been working on for the past couple of weekends ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/OrTI4SBmZ2ZYSFv6ag4f.jpg) So happy to have those behind me so I can work on a different design tomorrow!

jenjie everything hurts, but less and less every day! I should say everything above the rib cage. Walking is pretty easy. 950nancy I don't know when my driving restriction will be lifted, probably on Wednesday when I see my surgeon. I can't lift anything more than ten pounds right now and I have limited range of motion in my arms so driving will be a little tricky until that gets better. I'm not in a huge hurry but I do keep stretching my arms a bit more each day. I can't tell you what a thrill it was to be able to wash my own hair. Delta Dawn I don't think I'd be quite comfortable enough to camp just yet, I've got a complicated maze of pillows going on here. The weather is nice enough though!

My husband is away the next two nights for work, and I'm home with the cat and the dog. And the tv. A book. And my computer. The pets are looking at me wondering if there will be any more treats forthcoming. (There won't.) I had a really nice day today. My daughter surprised me by taking me to see Cats on Broadway. We've both always loved the play, and when she was little we used to watch a taped version of the London stage version. We watched it so often that we memorized it all -- and seeing it today in person was surreal for us. So happy. Kids are a PITA when they're little, but awfully nice to have around when they grow up.

When do they expect to be able to let you know for sure they got everything?
