Oh no! Curious George looks like he died happy, but he isn't curious anymore. Please someone tell me, in what crafty situation would this stamp be applicable? Scrapbooking your first bender? Lol

It came in a grab bag. I have used it for layouts about scrapbooking, in my smash book, and funny cards to fellow scrapbookers.

BWAHAHAHA! This made me laugh because my DD is at the age where Curious George is required bedtime material. I have a very old hard cover Curious George compilation storybook with about 5 stories that she got from her uncle. One of the stories has George in the hospital with a broken leg or something. He's about to be discharged and the nurse stupidly leaves him in a room alone, telling him to be a good little monkey until she gets back. Being curious, he finds and opens up a bottle of ether and passes out. The result is a very similar image, LOL! The book also references "having a good meal and a good pipe" at one point so you know it's old! A lot of the people in the stamp club I used to go to would have loved having a stamp like that.

The image IS from the ether illustration in "Curious George Goes to the Hospital". Whoever made the stamp changed it, probably to appeal to scrapbookers.

Perhaps we should think of some sayings that would be appropriate to use with the image.....thinking back to the cow stamp that had a LOT of cow related text - mochas gracias, an udder birthday etc.....

Curious George got a little too curious. OMG, my youngest just turned on PBS and Curious George is on. He's at the weather forecast station.

I remember Curious George Goes to the Hospital. Didn't he eat a puzzle piece or something?

There are two different hospital stories in the book we have. In one, he jumps off a fire escape and breaks his leg. In the other, he eats a puzzle piece and has to go to the hospital to get it out. It's been a couple months since we've read out of that book, but for quite a while there we were reading the same stories every. single. night. DD is currently obsessed with some new princess stories so George is out of circulation for the moment.
