Are you really super detail organized with your scrap supplies. I'm organized in that like things are together, but not in a really detailed way. Nothing except for cardstock is sorted into color groups. My scraps are in a box where I can flip through them if I want to use a scrap. My letter stickers are standing on end in a container that I can flip through; not separated by color just all thrown together. I have a drawer for stamps except for my Ali Edwards Story kit stamps. Those are all kept together. Adhesive drawer, ink drawer, washi and ribbon drawer; all of these are together, but not organized any particular way. There are two things I do that I think help me when I'm scrapping. One is I keep themed supplies all together in their own Iris box. For example all Disney stuff is stored together. The other thing I do is if I will be scrapping a set of photos that I know will be more than 1 layout I make up a kit of stuff and put it all together either in a big plastic envelope or an Iris box. I include everything that I think I will use. Paper, stamps, embellishments it all goes together until I'm done and then I put it away. How organized are you? Would my storage methods make you twitch?

I think I am organized just enough, but other people think I'm insane and very OCD. LOL
When I go to a crop, I can pack up in about 5 minutes because most things are usually put back already as I wasn't using them on the last thing I was working on. I have to have a clean desk with everything put in it's home before I can start working/playing.

So then I end up making piles until I clean and put away again. I have a really hard time putting stuff away so my room never gets 100% clean. But what it put away is organized, labeled and works really well for me. My stamps are organized by theme, labeled and in clear envies (Jennifer McGuire style), my Cricut cartridges are labeled and in Really Useful Boxes, my cardstock is by color, my embellishments are by color. My Copics and inks all have their own spot as does my adhesives. I do have all Christmas together separate from everything else. Everything always sounds nice and neat, but then I have my piles. But I can find what I want/need IF it's been put away. It's what I haven't put away that messes me up <sigh>

My organisation system sounds remarkably like yours cannmom. I have like products grouped together but not much organisation beyond that. My brads and cardstock are sorted by colour but everything else just lives happily with similar products. My patterned paper has no organisation and I love it that way.

Just enough. Would my storage methods make you twitch? I think we could peacefully scrap together. I have my like items with like items, but not coordinated by color, by manufacturer, or anything. Letter stickers are with letter stickers. Washi is all on an embroidery hoop and hung up. All my flowers are thrown into a plastic spaghetti storage container, with a top wide enough to stick my hand in and rummage in. I have two 2-gallon sized ziplock bags for scraps; one for cardstock, one for patterned paper. My sequins would probably give the very organized a heart attack. All colors are thrown into a jar together. When I need a specific color, I just pour some into my hand and take what I want. Yeah, I don't stress about supplies being organized. I can find what I need.

I'm organized with a lot of things BUT I have a horrible time cleaning up. So then I end up making piles until I clean and put away again. ME Too!! Me Too! No matter how many time after I clean it, I emphatically say this time I'm going to clean up after each project! It works for a few projects and then I falter. My organization style is by type as well. Brads/eyelets, some ribbon, my scraps, and cardstock are by color. My pattern paper is either by type (vellum prints, acetate prints, wood look, polka dots, etc.) or mood (feminine, masculine, vibrant/playful, office/school, etc.) unless it's a collection. Washi was in a tin that I tried to keep by color it didn't work and now it's in a bigger tin jumbled. I really need to organize my stamps. It's on my hope to do sometime soon list.

I would say I am extremely organized. The least organized of my items is my embellishments which I store by color in drawers. Everything of that color is just thrown one Sterlite medium sized drawer. However, I don't have nearly the supplies many of you have so that makes it possible. When I want a purple embellishment I just turn around in my chair and pull out the drawer.
If I have a lot of one paper collection everything is stored within a plastic envelope: paper, embellishments, letter stickers, etc. then labeled and stored first by manufacturer then name of the line. Otherwise it is sorted first by theme if applicable; if not, by major color group (pastels/earth tones/etc)for multi colored pages. If it is primarily one color it goes with other patterned paper of that color group. 12 X 12 cardstock is in hanging folders by color, anything smaller in Sterlte drawers by color. So that I can easily grab the drawer I need and look through it.
eta: A lot of my tools and embellishments I can access one handed from where I sit or just by spinning my chair so I clean a lot as I go.

I'm pretty organized, things are labeled and sorted and my room is by zones, stamping, inks, paper, dies, etc ....I am messy while I'm scrapping but I clean up after each session....it's just how it works for me...

I am just organized enough that I can find most things most of the time. When I am organizing, I sort by theme: season, boy/girl, activities, travel... And that helps, as I often scrap similar themes at the same time, because the creative side of my brain is completely detached from the organizational part, so once I have taken out a paper pack or set of stamps or dies, it all stays on top of the counters until I am finished my little scrappy binge. When my mess reaches critical mass I need to put everything away. At least I am organized enough to have a place to put stuff when that happens

I'm on the extreme end of organized. All my papers are sorted by theme or collection. All the embellishments are sorted in Iris boxes by theme. I keep them with collections until the collection is mostly used up, then into an Iris box.
I have leftovers sorted by color in small, clear boxes. I often cut apart sticker sheets/chipboard when the sheet is mostly used up and then place in the boxes by color.
I have to clean up after each layout or I'll lose my mind!

Not super organized, but my organization ebbs and flows. Sometimes it's better than other times, but most of the time, it is pretty clean. I have a few piles going right now, but it's much better than the scatter I had a few weeks ago (I cleaned up in order to get some decent pictures for my 30 days album...because...well, while I'm thankful for this space, I am truly at home here when it's not a chaotic mess) which is really nice. It is the cleanest it has been in here in quite some time.

Not really. I keep like things together and know where to go for what I'm looking for but there is a certain amount of flipping through items I need to do.

I am very similar to you as well, cannmom. Supplies are divided by type, mostly in plastic boxes of varying sizes, with some mixed iris boxes containing projects or themed items (like you, I have a Disney box). October Afternoon has its own Iris box because I have so much of it. Ali has her own shelf with the Story kits and stamps and WITL project supplies. For embellishments, I sort by material - ex: all my wood is together, rubber charms are stored together, acetate, etc.. I am not so tidy while I scrap, but I clean my desk completely after each project and start fresh. I actually love the cleaning part because it means I finished something! It's almost cathartic.

It's fun to see how everyone falls on the organization spectrum. I must admit I'm occassionally envious of the super-organized, but I know I will never be that way. I don't mind a little rummaging to find what I need and it's rare that I can't find what I'm looking for fairly quickly. I have just figured out what works for me.

How many ways can I say 'Not organized?' I have about 1/5 or less of my stuff in theme bins, the rest is in tote bags and boxes and piles. Many of my completed albums are organized on the shelf but some are not. In my albums I am chronological to a fault.
I can say that I have quite a large amount of product used in completed albums so this does make me happy. But unused scrap supplies? They just go where they want like an out of control teenager.

I think I'd fall into the OCD category. My cardstock is arranged by color, my patterned papers are by type, color (generic prints), brand (for favorite brands), or theme. My misc supplies are in drawers by theme, and I have one set of drawers for non-themed color sorted. I have jars for buttons, veneers, brads, glitzy brads, leftover sequins, etc., drawers for specific supplies by type--colored pencils, colored typewriter ribbons, distressing, watercolors, etc. I start with a clean desk or I go nuts, and I clean up between projects. When I'm too lazy to clean up, I have a small tray under my desk (out of sight) that I shove the loose stuff in until I'm having a day I don't feel like scrapping, but I do want to be in my room, then I sort and re-organize. I have 2 bowls on my desk, one for loose/lost die cuts, one for loose/lost metal/ribbon/rhinestones etc. That's about as much "random" as I can handle. I have everything labeled, and generally know where everything is.
Honestly, I'm jealous of the people that can "loosely organize", because when I feel like things are out of place, it's disabling, and I can't work around the chaos. If I don't clean up, I won't start a new project until I DO clean up, and I won't work no matter how much I feel like it.

I'm pretty organized. Cardstock and patterned paper are organized by color. Embellishments are organized by type, and then in the case of buttons or brads, by a group of colors. Alphabet stickers are by color, and other stickers are by theme. Washi is in a drawer because I never use it. Christmas, Halloween, Travel, and Beach themed stuff all have their own storage folder. I love organizing my stuff almost as much as I like using it. Whenever someone posts about needing help organizing i wish I could help them. Having a CLEAN scrap space, however, is another story

I would say I'm pretty organized. I have a tons of supplies. everything is grouped with their own kind. anything that can be sorted by color, is. papers are by manufacturer. solid cardstock is separate from printed paper and is sorted by color. I love spinning caddies and store lots of my tools on my desk on those.

If I don't clean up, I won't start a new project until I DO clean up I do this even though my organisation is loose but it's mostly because I only have a small space so can't do anything else if there's a mess.

In the past I was very organized when it came to scrapbooking. I would take out everything I needed for one layout and methodically put it back right after use. I was so organized (for lack of a better word) and would clean up after every layout. Then I would start the process all over again. It worked out well for me that way.
All bets are off right now, though.

organised but not overly so.
everything has a place - but I don't go overboard with dividing stuff up. Paper and cardstock is by colour, stickers and stuff is by theme, I have a drawer for small stuff like eyelets and brads and another drawer with random embellishments (flowers, ribbon, generic stuff) that doesn't fit a theme. Letter stickers are all together.
