In our house we do lists. For my husband I also provide links as well as a description. Then he chooses from the list. I do the same for him and for our sons.

DH is pretty good at gifts, better if I point out exactly what I like. He's also a last minute shopper. For the first time, I went ahead and picked out a few stocking stuffers for him to give me. To be fair, they're the same stuff that all of us gets - new slippers, new PJ pants, novelty socks. He's picking out the ornament and candy. Everything else is his choice.
This year is also the first time I bought my own birthday present. I wanted to pick out the seats for the show. I'm looking forward to it!

I have bought all my gifts from DH. He is clueless as a gift giver. After 30 years of marriage, I am quite used to it. I told him yesterday that he bought me some nice PJ's for Christmas and I was sure I would love them. He once got me a Mother's Day card that said "Happy Graduation". I asked him if he read what the card said and replied, "No, I just liked the picture on the front of the card." LOL!! My Dad was an awesome gift giver. He was always surprising my Mom with gifts. my birthday is a month before valentine's day. One year he bought the cards at the same time and I got the valentine's one for my birthday. I laughed and then he gave me the birthday one for valentine's

I usually do. Dh really struggles with what to buy me. When he does actually buy me something, it's always a great gift. But for whatever reason, he has a really tough time picking gifts. So I usually just buy what I want and tell him.

My husband is not a good gift giver! He is last minute & clueless on what people want. He makes up for that by buying a lot of stuff as filler hoping something will be ok (think multiple pairs of shoes if he thought I needed/wanted tennis shoes)! Last year (after 19 years) I started buying a few things for myself that he can give me. He is glad he doesn't have to stress & I no longer have the WTF moments trying to figure out his logic on his gifts.
