I just felt a bump on the inside of my cheek, and when I looked in my mouth I freaked out a little bit. Then I googled, and for once it was pretty unanimous that I'm not going to die. It's just a blood blister. It looks identical to the picture on here. Same size, same color, same location. I have no idea how it got there. I've had a rough travel day, so food has been off schedule and consisted of rapidly eaten unhealthy crap. I did get extremely itchy and and my arms got really red when I got off the last plane, so food allergy is a possibility, but I didn't have anything I haven't eaten before, and the itching and redness was gone by the time I got my luggage. Anyone have experience with this?

Yeah, I get them from time to time. Usually it's because I bite my cheek while chewing, but not hard enough to break the skin.

Yeah, I get them from time to time. Usually it's because I bite my cheek while chewing, but not hard enough to break the skin. You know, I think I did bite my cheek last night. I vaguely remember thinking that I should taste blood but didn't. Thanks for jogging my memory. Not that it really matters how it got there, but it was bugging me.

There is nothing worse than happily chomping on your lunch/dinner and biting down on your cheek. Same as biting the side of your tongue. Ruins the rest of your meal. And, yes, I've had blood blisters.

Yes, I had one once inside my cheek, didn't know what it was or where it came from, and thought I was going to die an unspeakable death. Then I broke it open, it bled all over the place for a minute, and that was the end of that.

Funny you should mention this. My niece just had one removed. It had been there for months and not improving so she went to an oral surgeon. Doctor thinks she is grinding her teeth at night.

It's nothing to worry about. You probably just bit the side of your cheek. It happens to me all the time. I have a small mouth and fat cheeks. LOL

Then I googled, and for once it was pretty unanimous that I'm not going to die. This made me laugh!
Glad you are okay!
