Since I can't decorate yet (getting a new roof sometime around the end of the week and don't want ornaments to drop/break), I am listening to a lot of music I have a few that are a toss up:
Traditional ones: O Holy Night Little Drummer Boy
More non-traditional: Mary did you know? Do you see what I see?
What are your favorites?

I love "Sleigh Ride", even though it definitely doesn't suit an Aussie summer Christmas. I especially love the version by the kids TV group Hi-5, which was a favorite of my DD when she was a little girl. It brings back some lovely memories for me. This one, also performed by Hi-5, is a bit more suited to our Christmas weather conditions

My absolute fav is O Holy Night by Michael Crawford For the more contemporary stuff I look to Michael Buble and Pentatonix

I love and adore Mary, did you know by Pentatonix. And most any carol sung by Berle Ives.

Thanks for sharing! Especially the ones I don't think I've heard before (definitely the Australian one) and the Fleet Foxes one!

I have no favorite. It would be easier to list the handful I don't really care for and call all of the rest my favorites. Christmas carols are the spirit, the joy, and the love of Christmas all rolled into one.

I love Pentatonix! I just downloaded their version of Carol of the bells on iTunes! I love all Christmas carols, both classic and modern.

Religious: O Holy Night esp the Mahalia Jackson version
Secular: It's a tossup between Happy Holidays/The Holiday Season and The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year - both by Andy Williams.
I'm kinda finicky about my Christmas music i.e. Holly Jolly Christmas has to be the Burl Ives version, The Christmas Song has to be by Johnny Mathis etc

All Bells in Paradise In a Bleak Mid Winter The Truth from Above (the Vaughan Williams arrangement) Anything from Britten's A Ceremony of Carols
Modern? Does Fairy Tale of New York count?
