I decided to join in the fun of Reddit's Secret Santa this year (thanks for enabling yet again, peas). I got my name yesterday, and I've got him taken care of, but he talked a lot about how much he adores being a dad, so I want to throw some little gift in for his daughter as well. Because Christmas, y'all. She's four and they live in Ireland. I stalked his Reddit and Facebook pages and I know she loves to draw. That's about all I got. I'd prefer something on the lighter side because shipping won't be cheap. My daughters are 16 and 25, so this is kind of out of my wheelhouse at this point in life. Any suggestions?

Last year I got a dad that adored his dd, so I got them matching tee shirts. They didn't match exactly, but they were like (not like this, but to give you the idea) I'm with stupid and stupid tee. He seemed to like it.

I'm a preschool teacher and right off the bat I can think of a few things that the kids always play with:
Melissa and Doug fake food. They have some that are made of felt so they would be light to ship.
Dot markers and a book to use them with.
Instruments of any kind. Again, Melissa and Doug have a set.

I have a four year old girl and some current faves at our house are coloring/activity books, Melissa and Doug craft kits, puzzles, and games come to mind first. My girl has an older brother so she isn't as crazy about dolls as some. I think that a game or puzzle would be great since it is something they can do together. Some favorite games here are Uno, candyland, zingo, and super stretchy. Super stretchy is a kids version of twister with Disney characters and is awesome. I believe it is exclusive to Target. I have probably gifted that game half a dozen times already... And it would be light to ship.

I feel like last year, my cousin's four year old son asked for Shopkins stuff. (They're actually pretty cute and there's all sorts of stuff-- figures, stickers, coloring books, I saw a gift set with some coffee mugs... etc!)
I guess what I wonder is what sort of cool thing for four year olds is really only available in the US.

My 4 year old daughter loves monster trucks, so that's always a possibility. Love the idea of a game as mentioned above. Card games like Uno or others would be pretty light. Coloring/activity books, nice paper and some high quality crayons or similar would nice. Crayon Rocks are very popular in our house: crayonrocks.com or sold on Amazon.
