Many of my thoughts are already listed, but I don't think I saw Angela Landsbury, so I'll add her. I think she's 91, now.

Tom Brokow. He has always exuded such dignity and class. I've always trusted him. I admire his intelligence and work ethic. edited to add David Cassidy and Donny Osmond. I will truly be devasted with either of those losses. My first loves

Kirk Douglas! He just turned 100 and hasn't done anything (understandably) for a long time, but he's one of the last from the golden era.

Right. I forgot about Dolly. That would be a huge loss.

Billy Graham. He's not a celebrity in the sane sense as the others listed here, but he is well known world-wide.

I just thought of another one who sadly probably won't be with us much longer: Glen Campbell. I LOVED him as a child. I would put on mum's Glen Campbell record and sing Galveston into my hairbrush. Mum and dad took me to see him in concert when I was 7yo, in 1974. I still have him on my iPod. I was going to buy tickets to see him when he was going to tour Australia about 4 years ago, but then his health declined and the tour was cancelled. I would have loved to have seen him nearly 40 years after the first time I saw him.

This is mine. I've been listening to his music since I was born (dad always had him playing for as long as I can remember). Then as a tween/teen, I was listening to his music on my own cassette tapes. Now, as an adult, I keep telling myself that I need to go see him in concert, even just once. But I just haven't yet.

At the time, they said he'd return to tour after Christmas until March 2012 but he was doing well so they continued until November 2012 instead. Galveston, By the Time I get to Phoenix and Little Green Apples were some of the first songs I taught myself on the piano after we moved and I didn't get more piano lessons other than from my mother.

I have to add to my initial entry and back up all the peas who have bubble-wrapped Billy Joel; if we lose him, who is going to take over singing "we didn't start the fire...." given the news this year/ week/ yesterday?

The top of my list is Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
And then I'd add in any of the 1960's bands. I love that period of music and will be sad to see any of them go. And shoot, I might as well say the 1950's rock stars--Don Everly, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Dion.
