"The dishonest media likes saying that I am in Agreement with Julian Assang - wrong I simply state what he states, it is the people...."
"to make up their own minds as to the truth. The media lies to make it look like I am against "intelligence" when in fact I am a big fan".
You can always tell when something bothers trump by his tweets. I guess he didn't like being seen as someone who supports a man who is being charged with sexual assault especially after "pu**ygate".
And I don't believe he is a fan of "intelligence" of any kind.

Oh really? If he's such a big fan of intelligence, why is he skipping his intelligence briefings? And why is it that he is calling them out in a bad way every chance he gets?

I can't. I just can't. Moreso that his twitter addiction and completely lack of impulse control, I'm disturbed by the voters who are steadfastly cheering on whatever he tweets. If it were anybody else, it would be decried as the ravings of a madman or at least someone who needs an intervention.

Every time I read comments on political articles (or sometimes just regular local news articles) I lose a little more faith in humanity. However, after reading the comments on the announcement that Megyn Kelly was leaving fox, as well as on John MCCains Facebook page last night, I am even less hopeful that rational, kind, intelligent people will be able to overcome this stupidity. I don't know how to get back to using facts for information rather than emotions and believing anything that goes along with what you want to believe. Pointing out that there are fake news stories has done no good, because they fail to understand what is fact and what is opinion. I also don't understand the blind faith that they have in Trump. What has he done to earn that? Even on his victory tour he seemed to be admitting that a lot of what he said was just for public approval and to get people pumped up and win votes. It is disheartening to see the country go in this direction.

ETA: Woops - I posted this in the wrong thread. Will post there. ------------- What does he mean by politicized? Does he mean internal organizational politics or political ideology?
An interesting wrinkle is that U.S. intelligence and national security agencies are chock full of career employees who are political conservatives. Presidents come and go, as do political appointees at the top, but career employees, including most of management, stay through multiple administrations (or move to another agency or a government contractor).
(My husband is one of these lifers, but is in the minority politically - which is not something he necessarily shares with his many conservative colleagues, no matter who is president.)
If, instead, Mr. Trump is talking about internal agency politics, he'll need to get rid of all government agencies, including his own executive departments.

After I posted something about inflammatory memes reflecting upon the character of the poster rather than the character of the intended target, my uncle went on the war path for me. This normally logical man has lost his mind. I posted a link to a NYT article about how a bipartisan effort by voters as well as disparagement by Trump made Republicans back down from dismantling the ethics office, he went off on how I had just posted an inflammatory meme. A news article by a respected news source is not a meme. And how was it inflammatory? Since then he's been on a meme rampage, but most aren't memes, they are twitter screenshots. I'm not going to disabuse him of the notion that a screenshot is a meme. He's also posted several things about people no longer having manners or respecting their elders (I'm 46, hardly a spring chicken). At the end of the day, it devolves into him deciding to take exception to whatever I say and 100% agree with whatever Trump tweets. My dad is far worse.

I have really enjoyed Dan Rather's Facebook page lately and while reading an article thought how much I appreciate that McCain and Graham are standing up to Trump. I decided to check out his Facebook page and quickly realized it was not a healthy place and not somewhere I wanted to be. Lots of nasty people who are willing to say anything under the guise of internet anonymity. Many appeared to be Republicans who were angry at McCain for not towing the party line and rebuking him for not just going along with Trump. Kind of like what happened to Megyn Kelly.

Every time I see that Geico commercial of the guy cracking the safe and the judge letting him go - even though they have a photo and tweet of the guy #crackingthesafe, I think of Trump.
No matter what he does, his supporters will support him. No matter how stupid the move or how unamerican, they will defend him as if it's the best thing ever.
Some of the supporters I've seen - if he showed up at their home and said "we need to take your house, freeze your bank accounts...and oh, Trump needs your 10 year old daughter so she's coming with us" they would react with a shrug and then tell everyone how proud they were that Trump needed THEIR house, that THEIR money could be used to further his cause, and that THEIR daughter was chosen to be his escort - such an honor!

Did he seriously place Omarosa on staff at the White House? Why not? She’s aggressive, divisive, foul, has no filter, loves to blindside people, and says every critic should bow down to Trump. I say she fits right in! “It’s so great our enemies are making themselves clear so that when we get into the White House, we know where we stand. Let me just tell you, Mr. Trump has a long memory and we’re keeping a list.”
Let’s just see how well she does the next time she threatens someone in her role as public liaison.

I know nothing about her except what I just read on Wikipedia, and I'm not usually prudish, but I gotta admit, the juxtaposition of the photo they used and the title right below it definitely had me a bit ( I assume actual confirmation of the appointment is linked in the references on there somewhere)

Liddy needed some serious intervention or some anti-psychotic drugs. Without any malicious intent at all, I truly believe he was mentally unhinged.

trump tweeted again and I wasn't going to put it here because the reality is, it could become a full time job. But this tweet developed a twist. "Toyota Motor said will build a new plant in Baja, Mexico, to build Corolla cars for US. NO WAY! Build plant in US or pay big border tax." Problem Toyota is shifting jobs from Canada to this new plant in Mexico. So either tiny hands didn't know this before he fired off his threatening tweet. Or he did and he is letting certain companies know if they want to avoid a "border tax" they have to build the product in the US. If he tweeted threatening a company without knowing the facts is certainly bad. But if he did know the facts and is threatening that if you want to sell your product in the US then it needs to be built in the US "or else" is just as bad. The fact is the greatest potential for growth for US companies is outside the US. We start adding "border taxes" to products because they aren't built in this country my guess is other countries will do it to US products. But does anyone really know what tiny hands mean? That is another problem with his tweets.

The US export somewhere in the region of $70 billion to Japan. He's obviously prepared to lose all that trade. Bet the companies that do the exporting are singing their little hearts out about their future prospects in keeping afloat and that is just one country! Maybe he'd like to start and strip all " not made in America" products that he has at his Hotels and golf courses to start everyone off!

I remember Omarosa from when I used to watch The Apprentice. The biggest issue with her was her laziness, she just wanted to sit back and let everyone else do the work on the tasks and them blame everyone else as being the reason they lost the task. Trump fired her because she was lazy and couldn't play well with others.
So apparently those traits are now exactly what he wants in his White House staff. But she's attractive and has massive fake boobs - so she must be qualified for the role.

When Tiffany was a baby, Trump and his then-wife Marla were interviewed for a show. They presented their baby, Tiffany, and he said, "She has Marla's legs." Then he holds his hands in front of his breasts and says, "We don't know if she's got this part yet, but time will tell." This was a baby...not even a year old.

I admit she mellowed that a bit on the other season I saw her in ( supposedly she was on 3 times I guess I didn't watch it that long ) But she was just nasty. He had her back specifically to create controversy.

I use to like twitter...... Now he is back harping about intelligence yet again "So how and why are they so sure about hacking if they never even requested an examination of the computer servers? What is going on?" "The Democratic National Committee would not allow the FBI to study or see its computer info after it was supposedly hacked by Russia......" "How did NBC get "an exclusive look into the top secret report he (Obama) was presented?" Who gave them this report and why? Politics!"

Talking big about everything needing to be made in America satisfies his base, who don't seem to be able to think past their initial reaction to his statements. "Yeah! Everything should be made in America. See, I told you Trump was going to bring the jobs! Oh wait....now our companies aren't going to be able to make it because they have to pay workers more here, AND they aren't going to be able to affor the taxes that the other companies impose to sell there? I didn't think of that." But by that time it is too late. That is, if Trump even stands behind his threats (which I hope he doesn't in most cases).
