Thanks Elaine! I was really hoping a store sold them because I usually have to try on a ton of jeans/pants, etc. to find something that I can wear. I have the most unproportional awkward looking body, so I would have trouble ordering them. But thanks for the info, I do appreciate it! If I was rich, after I hire my cook, I would hire a clothing expert to assist me in shopping for clothes! Definitely look for a consultant near you! I searched Lularoe and my town on facebook and found a consultant who lives on my street about 5 houses away. Once you find someone, they are happy to let you come over and try things on. Thanks! If they aren't too expensive, I will definetly do that!

I am 50 and I wear leggings all the time. I probably own several dozen pairs of Lularoe leggings. I usually wear longer tunic tops or dresses with them. I have found some really cute tops on jane.com or zulilly.com I teach elementary special ed and I spend time sitting on the floor or squatting by kids' desks, so this way I can be modest too. I love that I can look dressed up but super comfortable. I do like crazy patterns and my kids love to see what I am wearing. My newest favorite pair have hedgehogs on them. I don't let my age determine what I wear. I wear what makes me feel good about myself.

I have just discovered Lularoe as of this past Saturday!! Oh my goodness!! Sinful, they feel so good. AND I am 52. AND work in a church office. These will be worn, with the appropriate butt covering top to the office.

I went to a viewing Saturday night and the funeral Sunday. Almost all women were wearing leggings! I felt like an outcast being in a dress. It was my aunt that passed away very suddenly of a heart attack Friday. She had 4 daughters and several granddaughters. All of them were in leggings at the viewing, some in patterned leggings. They were all tastefully paired with long tunics and nice jewelry, but I was still surprised to see so many women wearing them to the funeral home. I guess I've not paid that much attention to them, but I have to say ALL body types at ALL ages were wearing them and they looked good.

This post is very timely, because I have often thought the same thing. I look fine in my leggings, I just wonder if people think I'm trying to look/dress young. I've tentatively decided that since all of the tops I wear with my leggings fully cover my butt, I'm not doing the tights as pants thing, and THAT is what makes you look like you're trying to be 18 again. (And even when I was 18, I don't think I had the body to pull off the tights as pants look.)

I'm almost 60 as well and I too, love my leggings. I wear them with tunics or the plaid button down (men's type shirt) which are long enough to cover my butt. I think they are cute with boots or flats and I don't feel like I'm dressing too young.
I only wear dark colors though....black, navy and gray...haven't gotten brave enough to wear the patterned ones, but do think they are cute.
Edited to add, that I don't care if people "think" I'm dressing too young. My favorite quote by Dr. Seuss "Those that mind, don't matter...those that matter, don't mind."

I don't only want my rear covered, I want most of my thighs covered too! I don't even think the rear showing is attractive on young people, even with a perfect shape. To me, it's just not a flattering look. But that's just me, I would never tell someone else to cover their rear. Wear what you think looks most flattering on you!

You've hit on my one problem with wearing leggings. Despite being almost 60 and fluffy around the waist, I want to so badly but what do I wear on my feet? I cannot wear flats (plantar fasciitis sufferer) and don't like boots around my ankle. Wahhh!

I see some gals wear them with flip flops but I suppose those wouldn't be an option for you either. I don't wear flip flops much mostly because I have deformed baby toes and am self conscious to wear them...that, and my leggings are rather thick and too warm to wear in flip flop weather.
I only wear my leggings in the winter months.
