Went there yesterday for the first time in a long time. I was disappointed.

It's been years sinceI have been in one so I guess that tells you something. There is one as one of our. 5 anchor stores in the mall I frequent.

I think it varies. Sometimes we find some great stuff and sometimes not so much. The last time I was in there (last week), I wasn't impressed. We (my girls and I) like their stuff usually and Penneys is our go-to place before we go anywhere else.

I stopped shopping at Pennys a few years ago when I noticed the quality of their clothing seemed to be going down. I did go through one a couple of years ago and it seemed like I was in some kind of discount center. Not impressed at all.

We like the young men's department for my young adult son with a slight build. We live in a shopping mecca and our jcp store is a nicer one. Last weekend, I was in a different one in a small town and there weren't very many choices.

It's hit or miss for me. I sometimes shop there and find stuff I like. I LOVE their jeans. You know how jeans are, you've got to find that pair that fits your body type. For me it's ones from Penney's.

I seriously love A.N.A. It's got a hip vibe for women; I'm at that age where I can't wear young hot mom clothes, but dread the falling into "old women" clothing. It's a cute and inexpensive line, with great sales and JCP coupons from my retailmenot.com app.

I used to find some nice things there years ago but haven't seen anything I like in a long time. Of course it could be because the store here is small so the selection is limited.

I look every once in a while. Sometimes I find several things and sometimes nothing. But it's like that at any place I shop.

I buy most of my jeans from Penney's. Other clothes are like any other store........hit and miss. I shopped there frequently when they quit the coupon game and changed prices to everyday lower prices. Now that they switched back to the coupon game, I rarely go unless I need jeans. I really HATE the coupon game of marking the price up so they can offer a coupon to bring the price back down. I couldn't believe that people didn't understand why the prices went back up when they went back to the coupon game.

I hate the coupon game too. I refuse to set foot in kohls because it just infuriates me. "You saved $456,986.73 off our pretend prices!!!!"
WRT JCP, for the most part I like their clothes. The juniors stuff is usually cute and not too slutty looking. They have a nice selection of party dresses that won't break the bank (even without the $&@! Coupons). The ladies things tend to skew toward either hoochie or grandma, but they've gotten better lately. Our store tends to run out, so if I find something I like I will get it online.
Overall, I like them. Now that macys has destroyed our hometown store it's one of the few places left to shop.

About 8-10 years ago I loved their stuff. Slowly I have been more disappointed. I used to really love the baby/kids stuff and it was better quality. Now not so much. It's too bad.

I have a dress I bought there a few years ago, which has been a good addition to my wardrobe. However, I went in , found the dress, tried it on, went back , got a different size, tried that on, and went to pay. The cashier was the first employee I saw at the store. My youngest son likes their selection, I've brought a lot of clothes there for him.

I'm not really a big fan of their stuff. I found a cute dress there awhile ago but since then I haven't found anything I liked. Ours seems to cater to the old lady clientele (our town has a lot of old people) and that doesn't appeal to me. I did find a nice dress for my daughter to wear to a Girl Scout dance there maybe a year ago. Nice quality and not a bad price. This year, we went back again and found the selection was poor and the prices were really high and not worth it, in my opinion. I don't think I was getting anything fabulous for the price they were asking. I happened to be at Costco and found a cute Guess dress for her there and it cost 50% less than JC Penney and was much nicer than anything that they had!

I typically like Pennys, but the last time I went in (last week).. slim pickings.. the store looked almost empty.. I was wondering maybe because we are not quite into the fall clothes yet??? I love the Liz Clairborne clothes.. they fit me great and usually not grandma looking. ANA is also another one I like along with the jeans. But it is a hit or miss like any other store.

It's hit or miss just like every other store I shop at. I really like the Ana line though.

I like for the young mens department, one of my boys will only wear shorts. I was able to find them there when we went school shopping.

I am pretty much disappointed in the clothes at all the stores I shop at. They are ugly! The quality is also horrible in comparison to clothes I was buying a few years ago.

Before they did their initial store change, I liked things I got there. After the change, it seemed like their selection went way down. I haven't been clothes shopping since they changed things back (or so I heard they changed things back anyway).

I have pretty good luck with basics there. This summer I lived in the St. John's Bay V-neck tshirts - and they've held up great. I also like their Worthington basic dress pants for work.

I have a few a.n.a. tees in my closet.
Otherwise, I can't find anything I like.
They carry the Liz Claiborne line which tend to features stripes and minimal sleeves!?!
What are they thinking?

I like a lot of their stuff. Their line of exercise tanks are my favorite. They're the only store I've been able to find slim fit shorts that fit my dd. I like to buy basics like bras and underwear there now that I've felt Victoria's Secret quality isn't great for the price. Penney's often has coupons out, $10 off a $25 purchase, and when those are available you can great some really great deals.

----------- See I don't see that on the Liz clothes to much.. I found the cutest outfit for the summer.. kinda army green capri pants.. no tight legged.. just falls straight down, then the top had the same green plus some dark/light pinks.. love this outfit.. full sleeves... there were at least another two or three outfits similar I would have gotten if I could.

We buy boys suits there, made annual trek last weekend.i found some cute tops for me too and laughed at the receipt- I think I spent $300-something, but saved $400. Does anyone really believe that? I forget JCP exists, although it was my mainstay for childhood clothes.
