How does she sleep with the spotlight on her? It's been a week now, is the zoo really this far off base? I feel played. Somewhere up thread it was mentioned that giraffes only sleep 30 minutes per day.

I don't think the zoo has claimed it would be happening by a certain time.

yeah, it wasn't the zoo. It was the media that took it and turned it into 'the giraffe is in LABOR' even though the zoo never said any such thing.
Hopefully the zoo doesn't mind that now we're all so impatient!

I love the pic of Dobby looking straight at the camera-- it's just his head and neck-- and his little smile makes him look like a sock puppet!!

He looks like a Dobby - perfect name! I love is little hair tuft. And that baby giraffe grin is so endearing. Our zoo, in Colorado Springs, has the largest herd in the US. We have babies quite often. They created a giraffe encounter years ago that lets you walk up to them and pet them as you feed them. You are eye level with the adult giraffes.

The last time I was at the C Springs Zoo, I was 7.5 months pregnant with ds#1. My dh had to literally push me up the hills. LOL! I love that zoo, especially the giraffes.

They add new amazing animal areas almost every summer. They have a sky ride and a tram to get you to the top.

I have never looked at an animals ass as much as I have in the last week. I even leave the you tube channel up during the day.
