Taking my "coffee break" from cleaning. I really need a MAID! Love your page with the signed play poster, justjac. And all the courthouse pages, maribeth. Hope you got into your scraproom, scrapincin and had some fun. That was really nice of the sales lady at M's, kellyr21. Those people are the ones who keep us coming back! This evening, our nephew's dw and I plan to go out for a quick supper and then a painting class. She booked it, and so I am not completely sure of what we will be painting. I think we will be creating a sign on barn boards. This was one of the choices in their course list, but we chose by available date, so not sure what tonight's topic will be. Just looking forward to a girlie crafty evening! If it IS painting on barn boards, I have a whole BARN (plus a bunch of old shops and sheds) to steal boards from: this could be the start of a whole new crafting adventure! I decided that I will try to fit in a few more CB pages this month, but won't get to them until at least Sunday, maybe Monday. I have the photos pulled out, and ideas are swirling around in my head. Have the titles written down and some notes for each, so the pages should go together fairly quickly. And I WILL be using PLAID!!! (Will have to check out the CB rules before I start pulling out product to use in case there are some other bonus points I can grab.) Well, back to the vacuum cleaner which is calling me from the bottom of the stairs...

grammadee , I hope you get your house as clean as you need it. I usually give up on the little things when I have company coming, but get the biggest stuff finished. Right now I feel pretty good about my house (except the scraproom), and I have DSIL and DBIL coming back this way on Wed. I have a neighbor who has a young woman come in 2 hours once a week to do her bathrooms and kitchen floor. She does a great job. I am getting to the point it is soooo hard to get down on my hands and knees and get back up again. I'd love to have that service. May check into it. kellyr21 , I love it when the clerks know you and acknowledge you. That's how Roberts Crafts was until it closed. How nice that she gave you 50% off. She will keep people coming back. It also shows that you are a sweet person. If you went in griping and complaining each time, she wouldn't want to help you. maribeth , I think I didn't realize how much I notice architecture in day to day life. But every time you post a new Courthouse, it triggers a memory about a building with the same look. I had a great walk down memory lane today while looking at your pages. justjac , I love the Play layout. What a great memory for you. I can tell you are enjoying CB. LisaDV , my DH made a lightbox to take photos of his wooden pens. It's not quite big enough for layouts, but I may try it for cards. Let us know how yours works. I usually just scan mine, but it smashes flowers and lets light in, and it's certainly not ideal. scrapincin , congrats on getting your Photoshop updated. Those things scare me to death. Without Doug to help me, I'm lost. You are so brave and so competent. You amaze me. Do your grands have Spring Break soon? Ours starts on Apr 1 for a week. Em's driving me and her children to Angie's. Of course Sammie has already shown me the Agenda! Hope you are feeling well. I am hoping to post a layout today. We'll see if it really gets done!

You've all been so busy, and so many layouts getting made! With the snow storm earlier in the week, and too many people wanting my attention, I haven't accomplished much this week scrapwise, but tonight I can devote a little bit of time to it.
Sorry to hear about your cake, Kelly!

nylene, that's such a fabulous engagement story!! Congrats to your dgd! Congrats on your layout feature too! grammadee, I don't think the 911 and listening for the sirens would work for me. I'd get tired of hearing the sirens as I'm in a constant state of emergency it seems. Hope you get your house clean to your satisfaction. Maybe you should just lower your expectations. That seems to be what works best for me. ha. maribeth, such lovely pages and cards. You are cranking. I love that about CB, just getting the stories told. kellyr21, yes, I do back allergy free treats. The problem with them is they must be either eaten fresh within a day or two. They go bad quickly. You can freeze them though and the freezing doesn't make them horrible as it does most traditional baked goods. (well, horrible to me. They then taste store bought and not homemade. My family will tell you I'm quite the food snob.) However, that means I'm limited to cupcakes and cookies unless it's a special occasion as we can't eat whole cakes or pies in 2 days. That was super sweet of the cashier. justjac, cute digi page. I took my photos, although I could have set it up better but used the kitchen table which had a lot of dh's stuff on it at the time. So my lights weren't in the best position. I still have to download the camera and crop them for uploading. I'm trying to get caught up in the CB gallery, so if you posted in this gallery too, I probably won't be commenting. Cuz' Dang, there's a lot of layouts. I've definitely been slowing down with CB. But I met my goal which makes me happy.

scrapincin , thanks for posting about the featured layout. I didn't see it until you told me. I will post it in the gallery here. I just ran out of time last night. Thank you for your sweet comments at Scrapbook.com. @mzliz, how is the snow at your house now? Has it warmed up enough to melt? Right now we have beautiful Spring weather, but it can change to snow at any moment. grammadee , did you get everything done that you wanted? I hope you haven't worn yourself out. You still have lots of layouts to finish! LisaDV , I admire you for all the changes you have to make in cooking and baking. I already hate to cook and having to change recipes and practice would drive me nuts. You are a wonderful mother!! maribeth , you have done so many pretty cards. I will leave you some love in the gallery. justjac , I was wondering how your dad is doing. Has the obstruction resolved? I am enjoying all the CB layouts and projects. But you are all making me tired thinking about completing that many projects. Whew! Does CB last until the end of the month, or is it longer? kellyr21 , have you tried another new recipe this week? It's really cool that you are always trying something new from crafting to home decor, to scrapping to baking. I have 2 friends who want to spend a day with me next week to see how the Silhouette works. That means I have to really work on this room. It has too much stuff and not enough space. I'll have to move a bunch of stuff to give them a place to sit! I may have to box up some stuff and put it elsewhere. LOL I need to run. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. Just dropping in quickly before I am off to bed. Our guests arrived mid afternoon to "check in", then went back to their relatives' home for the evening. Dh & I had dinner theatre tickets for this evening. By the time we arrived home, our guests were already back here and in their rooms for the night. Love your train pages, nylene. Your pages always look so well put together and these are no different. Left some comments in the Gallery. You asked about how long Calvinball runs, and it will be over at the end of March. I don't think I could take it much longer than that. It's a lot of fun, but also a huge pull away from everything else. maribeth, I will look at your pages in more detail and comment over at the CB gallery. Your productivity amazes me, as does LisaDV's. Don't think I could ever turn out that many pages in a month. Okay. Off to bed. Long day tomorrow.

Still plenty of snow to keep me inside the house scrapping, hahaha. I hope it stays out there for a long time! Your train pages are great! I like the way you split the layouts with the horizontal bands and how you were able to work all the flowers in there so nicely. They're really fun pretty pages!

Still plenty of snow to keep me inside the house scrapping, hahaha. I hope it stays out there for a long time! Seems really strange. Lovely spring temps here today. Snow is melting. Ditches at roadsides are getting full of running water. Hard to believe that a week ago we were getting snow and temps were in the deep freeze. Long day. It was a lovely funeral, if a funeral can be lovely. Our ds drove up from Airdrie just for the ceremony, then had a quick coffee and drove back. He should be home by now. Our overnight guests went out for supper with the family after the service, and will be returning here sometime this evening. They have stayed here before and seem to feel right at home here, so that is nice. One of them is a fellow in his 30's who told me today he really likes how our rooms upstairs look "lived in" and "full of memories". He also liked all the kids' books & toys up there, announcing that grandkids stay here. They are also the kind of people who are comfortable getting their own cup of coffee, or looking for jam in the fridge, which is just how I like house guests to be. nylene, the house was not spotless by the time they got here, but it was "good enough". If they were really picky people I think I would have to hire a cleaner to come in before they arrived. Checked the Calvinball leaderboard and am still in the top TEN, although I dropped a spot or two, but LisaDV and maribeth are killin' it! Our guests need to leave in the morning to catch flights, so I may just get to finish a couple of pages tomorrow. If not Sunday, then Monday...

Happy Monday, Ladies!
Our guests left early Sunday morning to catch their flights home. And dh is in town this morning waiting while his vehicle has some minor repairs done, so I have managed to finish off a page from last year that just needed photos, and complete six additional pages which I have uploaded to the CB Gallery. Two more pages to do to finish dgs's album. Should have that one finished before I leave for Abbotsford on Wednesday.
The plumber is supposed to come today or tomorrow. I should probably have started the laundry and the dishwasher early this morning. Not sure if I should do that now, or wait until evening...
The sun is shining; water is dripping; feels a little like spring here. Hope you are having a marvelous Monday!

I got out of the grove of checking the MB and I believe I posted last in November. Time flies!! I got an email today about new threads that had started and thought I would check in.
I am off work today. I got up and went to water aerobics and now home. The first day of Spring is going to be in the 80's! A little more like Summer to me. Last week it was freezing and we had a little bit of snow. So crazy how the weather can change so drastic like this.
I hope everyone is doing good! I hope to remember to check in more often than I have been.

knutschen , I was just thinking about you this morning. So nice to see you checking in. The good thing about this thread is that you can check in as often or a seldom as time allows. We are ALWAYS glad to see you. I'm so glad your first day of Spring really looks like Spring. Ours is 70 degrees today, but with a storm coming in tonight! Rats. grammadee , I'm glad your guests felt at home and that the funeral was nice. My family seemed content with the amount of cleaning I got done and they must have felt at home because they are coming back this week. I hope your nicer weather will stay that way for a while. Have a great and safe trip! Congrats on being on the leaderboard in CB. You guys are all amazing! maribeth , I think I caught all your layouts and cards. You are stocked up with greeting cards for a couple of years! Lots to do today. We will be attending Ashley's play tonight. They are putting on Alice in Wonderland. Should be fun. BBL

knutschen , love your new profile picture. nylene , beautiful train pages. I love the colors. Good luck on cleaning up. maribeth , as usual, I love all of your courthouse pages. Great cards and layouts too. I don't think I could take it much longer than that. It's a lot of fun, but also a huge pull away from everything else I couldn't agree more. I'm definitely slowing down. We're hoping to start the elimination diet for dd, which means taking even more foods away from her. After MUCH research, I bought a book that arrived shortly after the start of the month. My dd has read it through completely. I'm just getting to the final part now. DD was like, well if you didn't spend every free second creating layouts, you'd be finished by now. Of course, she's also the one that looks at my layouts, asks how many points it's worth, and then shakes her head and says, "you should do better than that" (all in fun - we're an obnoxious, sarcastic lot). I've uploaded my traditional layouts to the gallery the other day, but honestly, the light box didn't really help me. I had to adjust the levels on each photo in PSE. I think I need to play with the positioning of the lights. I probably should also adjust my DSLR settings as well. OH! I have to share this here. My goal for the year was 140 pages. I am currently at 119. My hope is to finish off those last 21 pages during the CB run. As I have a feeling my April, May and June will be very layout poor as it starts warming up, DH gets project happy. Gotta go get my Tuesday started.

Left love for your courthouse and other pages in the CB gallery, maribeth . Too funny about your daughter's comments, LisaDV . Hope the elimination diet works in identifying the nutritional landmines for her. Having HER on board is the key, b/c it can get pretty frustrating and boring until she can start reintroducing some of her favorite foods. Great to hear from you, knutschen! Glad you dropped in. nylene, I am sure you enjoyed your dgd's play. I am really looking forward to spending a few days with the girls starting tomorrow evening. I finished the last two pages for my dgs's album today, and posted them in the CB gallery. Decided to post my Easter/Spring pages for that book in the 2 Peas gallery as well. Just a quick check in here.
Have my bag almost packed. Have done on-line check-in. Will be driving this afternoon, and then flying this evening to Abbotsford.
Already getting texts from dgd's with recipes and ingredient lists LOL (they are on spring break this week, so it seems there will be some BAKING going on while I am with them!)
Scrapwise, I remembered this morning to post my Calvinball total over at GIS. And I have started to put together some "kits" that I may use next week, or may pack for the April crop. Already had my hockey related stuff pulled out. I have photos of hockey and skating lessons, plus some awesome pic's of skating on the pond, to get onto pages. And one of the things planned for this weekend is a final hockey tourney for one of the girls.
Just now, I pulled out all my baking collections and extra embellies. I already have some baking pic's I have not yet scrapped, and I am pretty sure I will have some more by the time I come home on Monday.
I will check in from my ipad while I am gone, but will be off line for quite awhile now. Have a wonderful Wednesday, and a great rest of the week.

Hey everybody. I had today off which was fortunate because it snowed over 4 inches. Almost all of our snow had melted, but now it's back. It's all supposed to melt by the weekend again. It is going to be soggy here. nylene thanks for asking about my dad. He got to go home yesterday after a month in the hospital. The bowel situation was resolved, but then his potassium was low, but he was retaining a lot of water, so it took a while to get everything straightened out. Now he is waiting to hear about a date for a CT scan to see what his cancer has been up to the last month with no chemo. I am really grateful for Canada's healthcare right now because I can't imagine the costs that would be associated with all the treatment my dad has needed. I've been plugging away at Calvinball. I've made 19 pages, so I'm a tiny bit behind my goal of one page a day. I posted three over on the sketch challenge page. The first one here is digital and the second is paper. Good news about your dad, justjac! And good you didn't have to drive in that snow. I drove through over 100km of that blizzard to get to the airport, yesterday. Thought my hands would stay clenched after hanging onto the wheel so tight. A drive that would normally take 2 1/2 hours took almost 4 hours. Other than that, the flight was good, and I am now settled in. Ds and ddil leave today, and the girls have plans for me, I hear. I am always amazed at how many calvinball pages you can turn out, maribeth. And you do it while working full time! I think my total for March is 38 pages, which is pretty good for me. Have another almost complete on my scrap counter at home, and I might get to a few more next week. Started pulling out supplies to go with some of my photos with the idea of putting together some kits, but I never really have The patience for kits: once I have pics and supplies together, I usually just finish the pages... Have a wonderful Thursday, ladies!

I am always amazed at how many calvinball pages you can turn out, maribethI just wish I could keep up this pace all year, then I could actually be caught up. But I have to say i am making a huge dent in the projects I have had hanging over my head. I should be done with all the Courthouse photos I have on hand tonight. I completed all the Post Office pages (photos will be up tomorrow), I completed all the Home Sweet Home pages (photos will be up day after tomorrow). Killed three card kits that I have had FOREVER! (photos of the last card kit will be up tomorrow). Looking forward to getting on to some other projects on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.

Happy Thursday! It has been a quite week for me. Hope you all have had a great day. I took a break from all the baking but hope to try it again. Practice makes perfect, right? LOL! maribeth- I just took a nice look at all your recent layout in the gallery. I really like how you used the title little tags on most of pages. They really look cohesive and so well done. The cards you made from the kits are so pretty in those blues and dark greys. Just love all the variety you were able to make. Great job! How many pages did you do in all? Did you meet your goals? justjac and grammadee- I am so behind on your layouts. I will be checking yours out too. You ladies really rock this month. nylene- How was your dgd's play? What role did she play? I know you must have enjoyed it so. scrapincin- Hey just waving hi! LisaDV- How is the diet going with you and your dd? knutschen- Great seeing you and Happy Spring!

Love your Dr. Who page! kellyr21, Do you have any classes coming up at M's? What's next on your baking agenda? DH & I just finished the detox part of the diet, today we all start the elimination part. It's suppose to be 12-14 days before you can start reintroducing foods. Waving hello to nylene and scrapincin. I'm hoping to scrapbook this weekend. I don't know if my week will allow much scrapbooking. Well, off to start my day.

Good to hear from you, scrapincin. I will leave some love for your page in the Gallery. The parents arrived home tonight, and I will be on a plane first thing in the morning. It has been a busy few days! I raised a houseful of boys, so riding herd on a trio of girls is a whole new experience. Happy or angry, girls are so...Vocal... Dgd's hockey team won their year end tournament today. Their final game was an exciting one, and her sisters and I got to see it. Then we went out to montana's for supper. The girls have been off for spring break and are NOT excited about going back in the morning. Well, I am off to check the gallery, and then to bed with me.
