Hey ladies! Hope you are having a nice day. Our weekend was restful. Last Friday, I went to a painting party at church. This was my first time doing something like this with over 50 ladies! They had all the supplies for us so all we had to do was jump in. The painting we did was on canvas with flowers and mason jars. I will post a picture of mine. I did have fun a met a few nice ladies. LisaDV- I need to see what classes M's has coming up. I hope they have something interesting for April. Well, I almost forgot about my baking when you asked. LOL! I took a break and want to get back to it this week. I was so disappointed with my first efforts but I know the more I do it I will get better. Not sure what I will bake next but maybe I want to try some white/yellow cake recipes until I can find a good one. All you Calvin Ball ladies- This is the last week and you all seem to be finishing strong. Congrats! scrapincin - Glad to see you scrappin. I still need to get my pictures printed. Hi, my not-so-Pokey friends. I am amazed at all the work you have been able to finish with Calvinball. I don't know what my problem is but some days I can't even find a minute for the computer. I had to go to Idaho on Friday for a cousin's funeral. After 4 and a half hours up, 3 hours sitting around and 4 and a half hours back, I slept most of Saturday. I should have been cleaning and doing laundry, but I was exhausted. I am trying to get things ready to go to Angie's on Sat. DH is not going and plans to do something with Doug on one of those nights we are gone. Sammie already has an agenda made up for us. I can't wait to see the kids!
I will try to catch up with all your layouts before I leave. If I don't make it, I'll do it when I get back. I will post the April thread the night of the 31st.

nylene , did you get any photos from Alice in Wonderland last week? I didn't get photos of the play because they asked that photos not be taken. But I got photos of Ashley afterward. I haven't downloaded them yet, but will soon. I think her dad may have sneaked one right at the finale. Save |

Good Morning Pokeys! Maribeth I do not know how you did so many layouts! They are all so beautiful! Amazing work! Going to get my shingles shot today. I have had a devil of a time deciding whether or not to get it. Decisions decisions! Of course my insurance does not pay one red cent of it so I have to pay the entire amount but I have had them 3 times so figure I better take my chances with the injection. The kids are on spring break this week so I do not have them all week! Not sure what to do with all my time! I might get to scrap some more. I had to fix my photo of my layout as it was so blue-white balance was off so replaced it in all places I had it posted. It looks much better now. nylene Hope you are getting ready for your trip. I know you will have a great time with Sammie planning all the events! grammadee Sounds like you enjoyed your time with the girls but think you are gladd to be home! There's no place like home! kellyr21 hope you get your baking done this week. I would be gaining all kinds of weight if I did that. Good thing cake ois not my favorite! @lisad hope your diet changes help your DD's health problems. Its just so hard for your child to be having health problems that is so hard to figure out a solution. But you are determined! Ok going to get moving BBL |

maribeth , if I had produced that many pages in Calvinball, I would be done for a whole YEAR, let alone the month! Where do you store all your finished pages? It must feel good to be done your home sweet home album. Revisiting less than happy times is hard. Yes, scrapincin , I am happy to be home. Slept wonderfully in my own bed. Dreamed about scrapbooking last night, but not sure if I will actually finish anything today. I DO have some cool photos of the girls baking. And before I left I had pulled out my baking themed supplies... And my March/April SB kits were here when I got back. Haven't had a good look at it yet, but looks like some fun spring themed items in that pizza box... Hope you have a wonderful visit with th kids, nylene. Isn't it fun when they have it all planned out for you? Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

grammadee - they will eventually all get into albums, I do however believe I am about out of page protectors so I won't be able to get these in before the end of the month and get a point, but oh well. I am glad I finished the Home Sweet Home project, and I am quite pleased at my productivity level. My productivity will be low for the next two months due to our camping trips on the weekends but I am looking forward to getting away a bit. Have a wonderful day

My mojo is fading. Yesterday I had great plans and lots of ideas, but then after a bunch of interruptions I kind of ran out of steam. Got one page finished from last week and its facing page completed. Thanks, nylene for catching them in the Gallery and commenting there. (One almost made itself, as I used an 8 1/2 x 11" collage I had purchased at the hockey tourney on the weekend.  Hockey hugs by Gramma Dee, on Flickr  hockey hugs2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I have some photos pulled out and a few supplies to complete a couple of pages tomorrow morning when dh has an appointment in town. Hoping I will be "feelin' it" then. I am also collecting supplies to put together some page kits to use at the April crop justjac and I will be attending. I managed to get a rule added in Calvinball to give a point for each page kit we do, so at least that is some way to add a few points and save a little time in next month which will be pretty busy without a lot of scrappy time. Happy Thursday Morning. Just a quick hello to everyone. I love that your album themes each have their own page formula and yet you can make each page a little differently, maribeth. How many layouts in total did you complete? nylene, have fun at Angie's. kellyr21, Have you baked anything this week? Since I'm making all of us follow the elimination diet at home, my son is having a hard time. There is no sugar allowed or pork (read bacon). Maple syrup, honey, and coconut sugar are allowed. So yesterday, he made his 2nd attempt at maple syrup candy. The first time he let the temp get too high and made maple sugar instead. scrapincin, lovely page of Maggie. I probably would have decided to do the shingle shot as well if I had your history. So What have you been up to this week with all this time on your hands? grammadee and justjac, when is your April crop? I love the idea of crops, I just don't love the idea of hauling my stuff to and from the things. Plus I'd have to kick up my page kits to include more since I often add in other papers at the last minute. msliz, how is your week going? I spent most of the day yesterday at the computer for layouts. Trying to finish strong at the end here. I was waning considerably last week with only 11 layouts. As of April 1st I'll be in prepping to leave mode. I'm spending a few days in southern Illinois by myself without the family visiting my sister and my best friend. Looking forward to not having any responsibility - laundry, cleaning, cooking. Although I will be cooking for my sister. She likes my cabbage rolls. |

I am sorry that I have been absent. I am having a hard time keeping my head above water. It seems like the days are slipping by so quickly. I have the same 2 layouts unfinished on my table that were there 2 weeks ago. Looks like they will wait until after I get back. maribeth, I am behind on your pages, but will get to them eventually. You have really been scrapping up a storm. It's wonderful. scrapincin, Steve had his Shingle shot and hardly noticed he had it. Mine turned on my immune system which caused a big Lichen planus flare, but we were expecting that. I had to wait 6 months to even be cleared enough to get the shot, so I was hoping I wouldn't get Shingles in the meantime. LisaDV, have a great trip. I will probably be off the boards the whole time I am gone. My old iPad is acting up. I may be able to read but not post. Good luck with this diet. Hi, kellyr21, I am looking forward to some of your warm weather! We hope to spend time outside at Parks, etc. with the kids. grammadee, @justja, LisaDV, maribeth, I hope you can finish strong with CB. You guys are champs!! Catch you later! |
