It would be best if people just didn't engage with the trolls, but I suppose that is too much to ask. ^ITA^
I agree that a political board would be nice.

I will respect whatever is decided. I think troll can be subjective, tbh. Obliolait wasn't too bad imo - but I agree with that poster's politics.
I think maybe one solution would be to have a separate forum for things related to politics/current events/social issues.

I noticed the block option, too. I have to figure out what that's all about.

I think moderation should be very light. I am only a fan of banning trolls who spam or threaten/take action against other people. Incoherent or unpopular views are not enough to get one banned IMO.

Instead of agreeing to ban trolls, perhaps we can agree upon some broad terms of use. Personally, as long as people don't post personal info about others or outright go batshit-racist-threateningly crazy, it'll make moderating this board easier. ^ that. And I'll try to not show any pictures of my dog chewing her sock monkey.....

Can we get a political board and a gun board please? LOL .. then you better add board for... well I won't start crap and say it but there's another topic that is every other thread these days too... nothing I'm against - it's just over done.

So many topics were over done. You can only beat a dead horse so long, you know? It ain't never gonna get back up and trot - all that's left is dry bones.

Apparently gun control and obamacare are horses that could never die regardless of how much they were beaten.

One of the things that made NSBR what it was, was the fact that it had little to no moderation. Can we have a promise from owners/mods here that they won't turn into polly pearl clutchers or defend their friends by banning anyone that disagrees? Even if Enough shows up? Amen.

What about a "hot topic" board.
With sub-boards - political debate - religious debate - rants
And those things (Bush is a dummy / Obama is the anti-Christ) can ONLY be discussed there.

I think having a million sub boards is silly. Like it or not the nsbr was a melting pot of many different things. It worked. Why change it? There were lots of subjects I didn't care about so I just skipped them. It isn't tough. Plenty for everyone.

If there are going to be sub boards, then appointing one or two mods per board makes the most sense. It's not fair to make one or two people scroll through board upon board.
I think the rules should be loose. No revealing of someone else's personal information. No attacks on children. No spam. Adults should be able to use the ignore button and police themselves.

Some I read, some I skipped but it was never boring! Too many boards and I think the group becomes really fragmented.
