My vent...we have a three month old lab puppy. She is lovely and gorgeous and wonderful. She is also bratty, destructive and disobedient. She's a puppy. We are in the middle of my husband being out of town for two weeks. He was away on business for a week, and then tacked a week long golf trip for another week. I have a fourteen year old daughter who is extremely busy. So last week, in addition to school and riding, she had a dance competition and went downtown to see a play one evening. Puppy went to the vet, and we had an electrician doing new lighting in the kitchen. So I'm trying to manage the logistics of dealing with the puppy combined with everything else! It's a lot! And I had to pry a dead bird from her jaws not once, but twice yesterday. So there's that Never have I counted the days until my husband gets home like I'm doing now. Saturday night!!!

Ha ha - I promise you didn't freeze your backside at 40. You should be on a jobsite in Minnesota in January. Even the chemicals freeze in the portapotty. I do sympathize - having to use them sucks. Haha! Perhaps not, but that seat was COLD!!! Brrrr!

I feel ungrateful posting this but I'm a bit annoyed. Yesterday was our 25th wedding anniversary. Yay! We aren't big present people for anniversary or other holidays etc. Christmas and birthday only and even then often modest gifts, occasionally something nicer.
Well dh got me a gift. A very nice gift. We can afford it. We are not rich, we went through tough times a few years ago but are doing much better now, we have what we need, pay our bills on time and a solid savings account. However we ARE behind on retirement savings and dh's field is unpredictable, so I feel funny about this. It's a very expensive watch, though I knew he bought it used (he said so). It's a "status" brand. He loves watches, esp expensive watches and has a couple (also bought used). I'm fine with that. He's mentioned wanting to buy me one and I have said no several times. I don't like wearing a watch, and haven't in years. I don't find most watches attractive except the very delicate more feminine ones and I don't care for wearing status brands unless I truly love the item itself. I am not a showy person. Basically he bought me one because HE wants me to have it. I know he could take it back/exchange it so I'm tempted to say something as I really don't care for it. But I know he would be hurt. I can't just not wear it though, as he says it must be worn regularly to keep time properly.

We're in the process of going through everything we own, and deciding what to keep when we move. The rest we're trying to sell on Letgo, and planning a garage sale in a month.
I don't do well with disorder and clutter. And right now there is stuff everywhere. And it'll be this way for at least another month.
Today, I'm particularly venty because there are a couple hundred record albums stacked up in the living room, on the coffee table, sofa, and chair. A collector we know is coming to pick them all up after DH gets home from work, so they'll be gone by tonight. But until then, I'm grinding my teeth over them.

My dh has an autoimmune disease that wasn't discovered until he'd had it for almost 20 years. The Nurse Practioner who has been part of his care and has helped him finally get it under control just left the practice. She won several million dollars on a lottery scratcher! So happy for her, but boy, will we miss her.

I take prescription Prevacid for extreme reflux. Today it isn't working which only happens when I'm extremely worried, dr appointment in 12 days. My throat is gurgling like soda is in it. Uggg. I have to be extremely careful or it turns into full on chest pains. I used to treat it over the counter until it got so bad I had to get medical help. I've been symptom free for over a year now. I feel like I just took a huge step backwards. The anniversary of my dad's death was the other day and I just to ball up and cry. Hugs to you. You've had some hard knocks lately. Can you double up on the Prevacid for a bit? A call to the doctor's office might bring some relief.

My vent is petty and pathetic.lol
I'm waiting for UPS to deliver a package. In the years we've lived here they've always delivered between 11 and noon.
So today, when I have things to do.....yeah you guessed it, no package and it's almost 1pm.(sigh)
I want my package UPS. Where are you? Why is today the one day where your delivery is different? lol

I fell asleep last night on the couch without my medicine. I'm feeling like such crap today I left work early. My son is also apparently having a bipolar day. He texted me to come get him from school. We had an argument over the computer and he told me he wished I was dead. Now I know it's just the bipolar talking. But man does that hurt. And it's exacerbated by the fact that I did not get my meds last night and am having a bipolar day too. Both of us came home and retreated to our bedrooms.

I totally get where you are coming from. We have a three-month-old puppy as well. She's freakishly adorable and loving. She's even doing remarkably well with potty training. But the chewing. OMG! She has so many chew toys and pig ears and ropes she could be chewing on, but nope. She keeps wanting to chew my electrical cords. I work from home, so it's kind of crucial that she not chew through any electrical cords. Those deterrent sprays are a JOKE. So I'm trying to work and keep her away from cords. And I take breaks to go help her run energy off when I can, but I am counting the days until DD is out for the summer to train and pay constant attention to her puppy! Until then, I have to crate her when I leave the house.

mommaho OMG - She actually said she wants a photo of your poor mom's backside? She's nuts. You have my full support to stop being polite. YES! My husband said she probably wants a picture to compare to other Google Pics so she can diagnose her.
I'd be tempted to find the worst pic of bedsores I could find on Google and send that to her. But I'm evil like that. SaveSave

No, you're not. We hear you and you matter! Hugs to everyone. I've got a headache from my treatments for ITP and I've put on so.much.weight from the steroids. But those are everyday rants not just today. It was hopefully my last treatment yesterday so I am trying to stay positive.

I'm tired! I finally bought a new phone yesterday (iPhone 7 plus) but couldn't get old phone backed up to be able to sync new phone. Took a long time with apple support. So today I can use it but almost all my apps says "waiting" under them and are frayed out like they are updating but they aren't. I read directions but haven't been able to fix. I just wanna play with my new phonnnnnnnnne! (Could you hear me whining with that?).

Oh so to add to my day the toilets at work backed up. Called Roto Router they came out a very big ordeal later they were fixed. But we will need to fix the problem eventually (one of the drains needs to be replaced). So couldn't pee before I left. Rushed home started laundry, then started my errands. Finally get to sit. My feet hurt. But I don't have to go out tomorrow. Just Saturday morning.

We all are. I like getting in touch with my insignificance. It is comforting to me. Sometimes I am just in awe of what a small grain of sand I am in the overall scheme of things. The universe is so HUGE!

I have a terrible spring cold, this is coming just 4 weeks after I got over my terrible winter cold that lasted for 6 weeks. I have to move by the end of the month and can not find a place to live on the island, plus I don't want to stay on said island since all of the kids have moved away and it is lonely. My BFF is in China on vacation and I miss talking to her and my BF has the same cold I do so he can not help me pack or find a new place to live. Glad for the opportunity to vent, now to suck it up take another nap and then tackle decluttering the bathroom.

I hurt my knee during a half marathon a few weeks ago and it's still not right. Next test is an MRI to see if I've done something to the ACL or meniscus. Hobbling around is just getting tedious!

I'm tired too. I'm tired of this never ending winter, well it's definitely spring, but where I live it should be sunny and a lot warmer yet we are having Vancouver like winter weather (think cool and soggy and overcast and just yuck) it's awful. Bad for migraine sufferers like me. Ouch

Yesterday I saw my primary regarding my recent diagnosis of diabetes and to get my current meds prescriptions renewed. When I asked for a replacement prescription for the prednisone I keep on hand per my pulmonologist's recommendation for when my asthma gets bad, he told me that he wasn't comfortable prescribing that in combination with my new diabetes meds. Ok, I'll call my pulmonoligist and see what she recommends..
He tells me that I need to go on a steroid inhaler full time and come to the dr when I am having enough trouble breathing that I require prednisone. I just looked at him. I told him that I see a specialist because my asthma is something I've had all my life and she and I have worked out a med program that works for me. He wouldn't let it go.
So I explain that I can barely tolerate prednisone, it makes me mean, and that the steroid inhalers I've tried have turned me into a raging bitch. Given this, my pu decided that I'd use the maintenance inhaler I use and just prednisone when things get to the point I'm using my nebulizer too frequently. Given that I've had this disease all my life, she was comfortable with letting me decide when I needed something more. Still, he tries to insist that I come in and be seen anytime I experience breathing problems.
I told him that I was ok with him not prescribing the emergency pack - I'd contact my pu and let her know about the diabetes diagnosis and see what she wanted to do. He told me he would contact her and let her know he didn't approve of me having meds on hand and he wanted me to go to the office or urgent care whenever I was having problems and let a dr tell me what I needed to do.
WRONG THING TO SAY!!!
I just finished up the last pack of prednisone and I had told him what it did to me. I am sure he never expected me to get so angry - I am very easy going usually. LOL I was not happy with his assumption that he knew better than this dr I have been seeing for 3 years, who has finally gotten my asthma under enough control I can get outside and move again. I was not happy that he thought he had the right to tell me that I didn't know my own body and disease well enough to know when my breathing issues were just the asthma and when they were something more.
Lord I was mad!

I crushed 6 fingers in a garage door on Monday.
I was very lucky I could have injured myself worse then I did.
Somehow I managed to pull the door up to release my fingers from in between the panels.
They are very sore and bruised.
I wish I had some interest in getting stuff for kids and hubby for Easter but I have none mostly because they are assholes lol. He informed me he wasn't getting me anything this year I said hmm and that's changed from the last several years.
I'm helping at a easter event on Saturday the organizer is very unorganized and does not take suggestions well. Not a team player and does stuff the hard way. Note to self make sure you're busy next easter. Oh and to the 2 people who backed out of helping me bite me, don't commit to shit and then back out with no concern about how I'll cook hotdogs and serve them to 175 people.
Oh and it's supposed to snow apparently this weekend yuck!!

My husband is overworked, overtired and over grouchy. And I am over it! Not really, but sometimes I feel I can't seem to do anything right when he is like this and everything I do just isn't enough.
I have been in a Lupus flare and I haven't any really said anything to him about it.

My domestic worker was a no-show on Tuesday. Her 'phone has been off since then. She has zero leave owing to her (legally 21 continuous days) because she always uses it all plus comes back late due to travel.
I suspect she has gone off for Easter and is going to try the tactic that she has used before- that it is easier to get forgiveness than permission- and she will turn up again, needing her job back. I cannot be sure though, she might be sick or something worse. So I am worried and annoyed. If she is indeed ok, she definitely won't get taken back this time. I am done.
ETA: this is small compared to some of the stuff peas are going through- FWP combined with 3rd W problem. Commiserations to my fellow peas.

They don't have to agree every time, but they do have to listen.
