The Yates/Clapper hearing is over and he's off.... "Director Clapper reiterated what everybody, including the fake media already knows- there is "no evidence" of collusion w/ Russia and Trump." Psst tiny hands its the FBI that is investigating possible " collusion w/ Russia and Trump". "Sally Yates made the fake media extremely unhappy today --- she said nothing but old news!" "The Russia-Trump collusion story is a total hoax, when will this taxpayer funded charade end?" "Biggest story today between Clapper & Yates is on surveillance. Why doesn't the media report on this? #FakeNews!" I love that "no evidence" is in quotes and that he still doesn't get that you don't use quotation marks for emphasis unless you are implying the words in quotes are false. Moron. Yates was articulate and uncompromising today. I have doubts that Trump could comprehend the majority of what she spoke about. She also totally owned Cruz.

I just read his latest twit storm and I have to say, as usual when he does this- "thou doth protest too much, methinks." ETA Stephen ColbertVerified account @stephenathome 1h1 hour ago "Wonder Woman is in theaters June 2nd. But if you want a sneak preview, watch Sally Yates' performance in front of the Senate."

Washington Post.... "Breaking: Comey misstated key Clinton email evidence at hearing, say people close to investigation" Again from the Washington Post.... "Ted Cruz pursued long line of questions yesterday about Comey's testimony on Huma Abedin. Turns out, it was wrong." Why was this even discussed? Yes I know the Republican's plan to deflect.

Warren Hatch had a few comments about those on Medicaid. Such compassion for those in need. Jerk.
Washington (CNN)Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch warned Tuesday that efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act in the Senate might be complicated because once the public "is on the dole, they'll take every dime they can."
The comment by one of the key Senate architects of the ongoing rewrite of the massive health care law, suggests Republicans are skeptical Americans will be unwilling to give up benefits provided for under the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
Some components of Obama's signature health care law, such as the expansion of Medicaid in many states, would be cut back in the House's version of the bill that was approved last week.
As he left a meeting in the Capitol of the Senate health care working group, which is trying to craft compromise legislation that can pass the Senate without Democrats, Hatch was asked by a reporter, "How does the public's perception of what the House did affect what you are doing?"
"The public wants every dime they can be given," he said. "Let's face it, once you get them on the dole, they'll take every dime they can. We've got to find some way of getting things under control or this country and your future is going to be gone."
Democratic Sen. Patty Murray blasted Hatch's comments. "People who are getting access to health care are not on the dole," Murray said. "They are working families. They are, by circumstances most of us hope we don't get into, have a very seriously ill child or spouse. This is America. Certainly, we don't call people who need health care people who are on the dole."
Hatch is the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee that has jurisdiction of Medicaid and other health care issues. He is also the longest serving Republican in the Senate.
What to do about the expansion of Medicaid is a key sticking point in Senate talks. Some Republicans from states, like those from purple states the expanded the federal/state program for health insurance for low-income Americans, are working to keep it while some conservatives from states that did not expand are looking to get rid of the expansion in order to save money.

President tiny hands never disappoints...
"Cryin' Chuck Schumer stated recently, "I do not have confidence in him (James Comey) any longer." Then acts so indignant. #draintheswamp"
The only swamp that needs to be drained is the one in The Oval Office. Jerk

Damn I hate having anything in common with trump. I yell at the TV as well, but only when he's on.

Rachel can give me the highlights later on.

DJT a few min ago...
"Comey lost the confidence of almost everyone in Washington, Republican and Democrat alike. When things calm down, they will be thanking me!"
heard this first on the radio. With radio morning guy then replying,
"No, Mr President, you are delusional."
that pretty much sums it up for me.

Dear Leader works under the assumption that everyone loves him and everything he does. That's why all us protesters must be paid by George Soros. It doesn't fit his deranged narrative that anyone would disagree with him.

And he is off and running....
"The Democrats have said some of the worst things about James Comey, including the fact that he should be fired, but now they play so sad!"
"James Comey will be replaced by someone who will do a far better job, bringing back the spirit and prestige of the FBI."
"Comey lost the confidence of almost everyone in Washington, Republican and Democrat alike. When things calm down, they will be thanking me!"
"Watching Senator Richard Blumenthal speak of Comey is a joke. "Richie" devised one of the greatest military frauds in U.S. history. For...."
"years, as a pol in Connecticut, Blumenthal would talk of his great bravery and conquests in Vietnam - except he was never there. When...."
"caught, he cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness...and now he is judge & jury. He should be the one who is investigated for his acts."
"The Roger Stone report on @cnn is false - Fake News. Have not spoken to Roger in a long time - had nothing to do with my decision."

From AP...
"BREAKING: White House says Trump considered firing FBI Director Comey since `the day he was elected' president."
Problem is the trump White House has told soooo many checkable lies how can anyone believe anything that comes out of their collective mouths? And that really is a problem.
And if trump was to leave tomorrow the same problem would plague a Pence White House. I'm not buying for a second Pence doesn't know everything that is going on.

From NBC News...
"White House spokeswoman: Comey committed “atrocities in circumventing the chain of command” in the DOJ"
I don't know who the woman White House spokesperson is. But she used a poor choice of words in describing the events "circumventing the chain of command".
What Assad is doing to his people is an atrocity not something that is "circumventing the chain of command".

So unsurprising that neither Trump nor his supporters can comprehend that some of us can hold more than one idea in our head. We can be upset and frustrated that Comey's actions helped cost Hillary the presidency, and we can be outraged that Trump has now fired THREE people who just happened to be investigating him for colluding with the Russians. And we can be both of those things AT THE SAME TIME, because they are unrelated except that James Comey happens to be part of both of them.
Fancy that.

From the Daily Beast.... "In case you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past 24 hours, President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey. Or, if you’re White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, you just hide in some bushes. Spicer, who will not lead Wednesday’s press briefing following the Comey news, likely does not want to be confronted by the media. Given his track record, can you blame him? But instead of camping out in his office, he ventured outside—rookie mistake—and hid from reporters in some shrubbery outside the White House. Twitter was here for it. So, thank you, Spicy. We really needed this today." Spicer hid in the bushes? OMG. You know if anyone were to write a book about the escapades of trump and "the people around him, they would be convinced it was all fiction. Because who does this stuff in real life ?

Re Sean Spicer: It seems he needed to get from one area to another by traversing the WH grounds and he learned reporters were waiting on this outside path. He huddled behind some tall hedges with some of his staff, probably to frame his answers, especially since they had already announced there would no statements re Comey last night.
Absent an office to duck in, he made do. I think he's a goofball, but I have some amount of sympathy for him. And the Daily Beast likes to leave things out...
Moving on:
Question: Is a "phony hypocrite" a FAKE hypocrite or, instead, is it a REALLY hypocritical hypocrite - kinda' like, say, a promiscuous prostitute?
