So I have been wearing accuvue 2 lenses for years. They are now being phased out and they gave me accuvue Oaisis lenses to try and they dried my eyes out by the end of the day. She doesn't want me to go back to the ones I had before since they won't be available much longer and they are bad for your eyes. What kind of lenses do you all wear. And do you do daily or 2 week?

I have been wearing Air Optix lenses for years. They are extremely comfortable. I have very dry eyes when my contacts are out. I can't rcommend them highly enough.

I use the same as you but haven't heard they are being phased out. I better stock pile them while I can because I have no issues with them.

I had to switch brands sure to changing prescriptions. I now wear proclear by Cooper vision. They are two weeks. I love them. I have had almost no issues with them.

I've also been wearing Accuvue 2 for years...14+ and no problems. I can't feel them, change every two weeks and have to remind myself to take them out at the end of the day. I had a trial pair of the Oaysis last year and couldn't tolerate them, didn't even make it 24 hours with them. My eye doc said some people can't tolerate the new breathable silicone lenses. I'm totally bummed they are phasing them out, glad I just bought a years worth!

I wore Oasis for years but my eye doctor convinced me to try these. I will never go back. These are amazing. He said they had little microscopic ridges that hold moisture.

I still wear ones intended for a month use. My prescription plus astigmatism adjustment don't come in dailies or weeklies.
If you haven't tried switching your solution, you might do that. When I was having difficulty with dry eyes, my eye doctor had me switch to what is now Opti-Free's pure moist. I use that to put them in. (I store them/clean them with Clear Care, and you're not supposed to need to rinse the lenses when the cycle's finished, but I use the Opti-Free anyway.)

Anytime you change materials/contact types your eyes often need time to adjust and will be dry.

I used to wear these and liked them. Now I wear something different, but I never can remember what they're called. I tried the proclear a couple of years ago, but went with what I'm wearing now.

Sigh...I have to wear rigid gas permeables. I hate them, but my prescription and astigmatism is so bad that I can't wear soft lenses of any kind. I wore soft lenses for one year, and they were so comfortable, but I got some pretty bad infections because my eyes weren't getting enough oxygen.

I wore Accuvue Oasis for several years and then they suddenly started to bother my eyes. I was switched to Biofinity and I love them! DH also switched to them a few months ago and he loves them too. They are monthly contacts and you can wear them continuously for 6 nights, but I take them out daily. I also changed solution to a 3% Hydrogen Peroxide type and they seem to keep my lens much cleaner and with less protein buildup by the end of the month. Biofinity Contacts by Coopervision

I also wore acuvue 2 for years. I tried the Oasis and couldn't tolerate them. Last summer I tried Bausch+Lomb Ultra lenses and I love them. (My eye doctor said that he figured they'd stop making the acuvue 2 soon.)

I wore Focus Bi-Weekly lenses since I was 13. They phased them out last summer. I was devasted! My eye doc has switched me to Bausch and Lomb Ultra Monthly. Contacts So far so good, they are even thinner than my previous lenses and no drying out. Around $45-60 per box of six depending who you buy them from.

Another Bausch + Lomb Ultra user here. I had given up on contacts a few years ago because my eyes were always dry and I couldn't stand to wear contacts more than a few hours. I recently changed my gym work-outs to a spinning class and cardio hip hop class and I pour sweat. My glasses were a mess. So, I made an appointment outside of my yearly appointment because I really wanted to try contacts again. I love them. I can see far and see my cell phone. In the past it seemed I had to choose one or the other. Now for super up close I still need my readers.

B&L Bio True daily lenses. I switched to them almost 2 years ago when my Accuview were phased out. They don't dry my eyes out and also have the sharpest vision of the many pairs I tried.

I'm a Cooper Biofinity wearer as well, for at least 15 years, no issues with them at all.

I wear the Alcon Dailies Total 1. They're the most comfortable contacts i've ever worn. Eyes don't dry out, lenses are always comfortable, no issues with these ever.

Luckily I don't wear Accuvue 2, I wear Bausch & Lomb Soflens 38.
I can't wear Oasys contacts, they don't fit my eye properly and it constantly feels like I have something in my eye. When they discontinue the ones I use, I hope I can easily find something just as comfortable as what I'm using now.
