Here is my photo for today: MY FAVORITE. Lilacs are my absolute favorite flower. For me, they joyfully announce with sight and scent that summer is really here. It is so sad that they stay around for such a short time. It took me years to convince dh to plant a lilac in our yard, and when he did, about 10 years ago, it was a tiny little twig. This year it has grown a lot, even in the shadow of the golden willow beside it, and I had to get a shot of it in the sporadic sunshine today. Attachments:

Thank you for the far too kind words, scrapincin warrior1991 grammadee nylene Day 10 Quick dip before the pool goes into renovation. We are finally hitting into the 30°C (86°F) daily so it's a pleasure to cool off in the afternoon for us non-A/C folks... (Prompt n. 12 "Something cold") Coming up later, today's photo. When I will have taken it... Just 6:40PM, nothing to worry about. I'm absolutely not late.

I love our little river walk. It is in the backyard of our church and I try to go see what's new every time I am there.

Here's my photo for today. I really have no prompt for this one but wanted to share it with you. She is a northern Flicker and is part of the Woodpecker family. Female feeding her young thru the hole in this tree. They mainly eat ants and beetles. The baby only sticks his head out so far! Northern Flicker by Cindy Blair, on Flickr

betty , I'm sorry but that is a gross looking worm. Thanks for identifying it though! LOL grammadee , I love lilacs too. I love the smell, the beauty and the many memories they evoke of days spent playing around the base of them. We had a whole playhouse we made among the roots and "trunks". sleepingbooty , I am envious of your pool. Very few people have pools here because of the freezing weather that tends to make them crack and leak. It looks so inviting! gramma , those actions shots at the ball field are amazing! You caught some great action. scrapincin , another beautiful bird photo. What are you going to do with this photo? It's as pretty as your last one. You are quite the photographer. kellyr21 , that jacket would make me smile too. My DH had a boss who wore pants with prints like that often. It always amazed me that he would golf in tournaments with those pants. That flower is gorgeous and the suit is interesting. Who knew you could buy a suit in a box? I don't know why I thought I could keep up with a houseful of people here. I have taken the photos, but I am so slow in getting them from my little camera to the computer and then to here, that I didn't get it done. I will get up early tomorrow and hope to post before all the troops arrive. Thanks for sharing all your photos. I am learning so much about each of you!

Day 10 - Looking Down - Looking down at my craft table. It is VERY hot this past weekend, so I locked myself in my craft room and made cards all day. I am doing these prompts in order and since I woke up with a migraine on Sunday, Day 11. I didn't get a smile picture.

I am loving all the flowers and birds and outdoor photos everyone is taking. (and interesting details like brightly patterned suitcoats and weird worms) Do you normally take photos like these? Or do you usually focus on people and events?

warrior1991, your day of crafting sounds like fun. How many cards did you make on that scrap desk that day? msliz, I love that flower. Someday I'd love to learn to use a camera with lenses instead of just a point and shoot. Beautiful photography. grammadee, as you can see, even in this challenge I take more photos of people than things. This challenge has increased my awareness and I think now about other things I might photograph. Thanks again for hosting this.

nylene I think I got about 7 or 8 different card designs done. I'm almost out of adhesive, waiting for a good coupon from Michaels. The paper and dies in the photo was another card I started around 10pm Saturday, but didn't finish it yet because of the migraine yesterday.

I am better today, thanks for asking. I feel like a truck ran me over, but my head is good. This MN humid heat isn't helping. 90s for 3 days straight, and high humidity. Too early in summer for us, so we are wilting early.

Day 12 prompt - something cold I had a kidney stone about 1.5 years ago, and the doctor said it was because I don't get enough citric acid in my diet. So the paperwork from Mayo clinic said to drink orange soda. So I listened. lol It also mentioned drinking lemonade, but since I would rather drink battery acid than anything lemon, I decided to go with orange soda. lol P.S. I am LOVING the portrait setting on the iPhone 7 plus!!

We don't get many traffic jams in this remote area, but this month they are working on the bridge between here and town. They set up lights, and have restricted traffic across the bridge to one lane at a time.
For June 12th: here is a shot of my rear view mirror: Looking Back.

Nowhere near YOUR photography, msliz and ecvnj58, but here is my photo for today. It is not exactly on prompt, but I believe the Wacky holiday list described June as the Month of the Rose. The wild rose is our province's official flower, and they bloom in June and only in June. I love the pops of pink around the edge of our yard. Attachments:

I seem to be ridin' a black and white wave these past few days. Day 12 A snap from a nearby town's cute old harbour (although they're all beautiful old harbours around here). Mediterranean sea gal through and through! (Promptless)
Day 13 Took this one as I was walking by. Just a view of life around here with the old men (and a little further away, out of camera sight, a few old ladies) gossiping away on a bench while watching the folks hastily pass by to get to work, buy their daily baguette or rush to the bank before it closes. They wave and say bonjour to those they know or have seen around before, they talk loudly about the return of the warm summer weather until they finally get up a couple of hours later and return home before the wife starts complaining. (Prompt n. 26 "Old")

I had a long post and lost it all. Will try again. warrior1991 , that soda looks good. My favorite is Orange Crush, but I'm trying to avoid sugar. grammadee , great idea of rear view mirror for looking back! That's such a pretty little wild rose. scrapincin , I love that little baby bird. You know so much about the birds in your yard. Love that photo. The sewing machine is a great photo. I couldn't live without mine. sleepingbooty your black and white photos are gorgeous. I think I want to move by you or betty to enjoy the sights around your water. We are the 2nd driest state! I love water photos. ecvnj58, your floral photography is beautiful. I love the color of those blossoms. I will have to post photos later. I hope I can keep up with the prompts each day. (or I may have to make my own)

I am loving all the flowers and birds and outdoor photos everyone is taking. (and interesting details like brightly patterned suitcoats and weird worms) Do you normally take photos like these? Or do you usually focus on people and events? I don't usually document the ordinary places I go. Which is weird because I love looking at pictures of the town I grew up in, and seeing how it's changed over the years. Just ordinary regular stuff that you don't notice until one day you realize everything has changed. But the truth is, I almost always focus on people. And once in a while I'll take photos of my gardens or some pretty scenery. I should include more places, I think. I'm planning to make a 2 page LO with my favorite photos from the trails and gardens. What will you all be doing with your photos? Will you be making separate layouts? Or a photo-a-day mini album? Or what?
