I feel like my car is fancy, but I think it's sadly in relation to what I drove before it....

I drive a 2007 Toyota 4Runner. It's getting older but does not look old at all. I don't have scratches or dings on the outside. The paint is nice and it has 74,000 miles on it. So it's an in between I guess.

I drive two cars. One is the family car, a '16 Subaru Outback with bells and whistles. It is quite nice. One day I will love her.
The vehicle I consider 'mine' is a 03 Ford Escape. I LOVE her! She's my baby. She has 115K on her. In the past two months, we have had to put some $ into her to keep her going. She's 14 1/2 years old, purchased in 2012. We haven't had to put anything into other than routine maintenance. So, I won't begrudge her the needed repairs.
Hoping she will last a couple of more years, through earning my degree. Makes me ill to think of parking the Subaru at the college, because I've seen some crazy driving/parking from the students. Otherwise, I'm left parking on the narrow streets. Parking is just insane. The Escape is easier to parallel park, too.

Well, since my DH had a deer try to run him over last week, we had to write off our 2006 trailblazer. It was a great car and still in good shape although it had 300000 KMs on it. It was also fully paid for. Today we just brought home our new baby. A 2017 Black on black Chevy Silverado 4x4 double cab pick up truck. He is in . He's thinking about calling her Bambi...lol.

We drive a 2010 VW Jetta TDI that we bought new. We plan to sell it back at the very last moment that we can next year. We'll get roughly $16k for it. I've liked the car and it's fun to drive but we can't pass up the sell back option since they'll give us so much (it's part of the scandal).
Our other car is a 2013 Infiniti G37x. We bought it certified as it came off lease. That was DH's dream car for years. It's really fun to drive, would be more fun with a stick! DH wants another Infiniti when we get rid of the VW. We're car frugal so i don't see us ever buying a true luxury car. My husband bitches enough about the higher cost of service for an Infiniti.
Financially we may be upper middle class, but we live like we're squarely middle class.

Love this thread because I'm about two weeks into being a Mini owner and I'm so smitten. 2017 special edition pretty loaded so I picked Newer fancschmancy choice in your pole even though I'd not say fancyscmancy but I'm just loving this car. The day I got her but before I took her for some window tinting and 3M protection.

I LOVE my car. It is a 2011 Mazda CX7. We jokingly refer to it as my "poor girl's Lexus". I bought it in 2013 as a lease return. I was a single mom at the time and my criteria for a car was reliable (the car I was driving at the time had become quite a problem), a/c (we live in Texas), and a sunroof. It came with extras I am now addicted to - bluetooth, heated seats and a Bose stereo system. The a/c stopped working two weeks ago (UGH, in TEXAS) and I was terrified of what it was going to cost to fix it. DH was able to take it to a repair shop near his office yesterday and it was just the relay switch which only cost $80 after the guy was kind enough to give him a first responder discount. I live in absolute fear of something happening to my car and us needing to replace it. I love it THAT MUCH. I had a CX-7 years ago and haven't loved a car since, until my mini. Absolutely fabulous SUV!

2015 Nissan Murano SL. I downsized from a 2007 GMC Yukon that was totally loaded. Wanted better gas mileage and DH and I really didn't need that big of a car any more. Love my Murano! I tend to keep my cars about 8 years then trade for a new one.

I have a 2006 Space Blue, it was the only year with that color, I have a silver roof and stripes too. I like the red along yours. I'm glad they brought back a similar color, it ages well. A really old pic is in my signature, I hadn't added the strips yet. SaveSaveSaveSave

I drive a 2008 Honda CR-V with just over 100K miles. It's been a reliable car (as have all my Hondas) and I'll be driving it for the foreseeable future. Cars are immaterial to me, except for reliability.

Wow, that is awesome about the buy back on your Jetta You are getting more back then we paid for our 2013 Jetta!! But ours is not part of the buy back. I didn't list all our vehicles, just mine We also have the 2013 VW Jetta - Zippy, that our dd drives. Dh has a 2005 Toyota Tacoma truck. And then we have the 2004 Four Winds RV. All of ours are in the older but still look nice category. Except dd's car is the newest.

I downsized from my beloved 2000 Honda odyssey last summer into a 2013 Honda Civic. I ran the odyssey into the ground. My kids are older and we didn't need the extra space. It is neither a clunker nor luxury car but I really love it. Speedy, efficient, small, cute little car.
I'm not a car person. I just care that it's reliable, and that's why I stick with Hondas.

Here is our new truck. Only 7 hrs old! Lol Is this the special edition? My DH got that one in April, in black on black also! Gave has old (not that old) Silverado to our DD who turned 16. The old one was White Diamond, he's already regretting the black! Oh the dust! Haha!

Whats considered a fancy schmancy car? Im guessing if I have to ask I dont drive one. I drive a 2015 BMW x5. ((who drives the rare car per the poll?? and what car?!) That's fancy schmancy to me - great car. I got a Honda Pilot 2016 with all the bells and whistles and love it, but I'd really love to have your car! ETA - DH drives a 2008 GMC Suburban. He loves that car and wants to keep it forever.

Our friend owns the dealership so he gave us better tires and rims. I wanted a royal blue or charcoal grey one, but DH insisted on black! He said last night, " wow look at the fingerprints on the doors!" I just shook my head. Lol

I drive a 2012 Nissan Altima which we bought new. It's been great, until last week when I had to replace all 4 brakes and an oil gasket (I'd gone in for an oil change).
DH drives a 2015 Jetta turbo which he loves, it is zippy and smart and fun to drive.
Both, I'd consider newer middle of the road cars.
I'm not willing to read 5 pages of replies, did we find out who has the rare car and what it is???

There was no choice for what I drive: 2004 Honda Pilot that is the best car I've ever owned. 100,000 miles and never has given me any trouble. Knock on wood!

It's just another one of those new fangled features I won't be able to get used to. I understand that. We could have gotten 'eyesight' on the Subaru. It is suppose to avoid collisions. Seems like something that would make one become a little too dependent on. I can not imagine putting parallel parking in control of the car. My Escape is simply short enough that she is super easy to parallel park. i think the new ones are longer.

I drive a once fancy Lexus GX 470. It was luxurious when it was new in 2007 but after 10 years (I bought it last year) it's not fancy. But it's perfect for me

Old but dependable 1998 Buick Century with 106,000 miles. Still looks pretty good, no dents or dings, so not really clunker status, starts right up. Bought it used in 2000 with 12,000 miles on it. It's old but solid, still runs great and it's all I need for my 8 minute commute to work. I'd love a new car but would not love car payments and high insurance! So I'll keep flogging my Century along for as long as it will run reliably.

I dont know what to pick from the options.. I currently am driving our back up vehicle which is a Jeep Cherokee as my Accord is in the shop(it' a 1998 with 200+kmiles on it, so not exactly new either).. but my Jeep? its a 1994 Cherokee Country with a 4.0 straight 6 engine and as of right now has 307,000 miles on it(no Im not joking 307,000). looks rough, rides like a banged up truck, has tons of rattles, and squeaks. the headliner is falling-what we havent cut out-- the hood has broken latches so doesnt completely shut down so it bounces some and squeaks, something in the back hatch is rattly and we arent sure what, it needs back shocks pretty bad.. we refer to the jeep as *the beast* because it looks rough, even scary but has a great heart, Ive had this jeep 15 years and its torn up less than 5 times, this is why I didn't know what to put on the poll.. its old and a bit rough, but its TOTALLY reliable. I tell people "to California it would take me,and back home it would bring me" I have total trust in this jeep. its just not the prettiest and no way Id want to have to drive it to California LOL--especially with the radio not working!---but I have faith I could if I wanted to

I picked middle of the road, a few years old, not too fancy. My car is a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. It has quite a few features, but by far my favorites are heated seats and the keyless start & entry. I love not having to dig keys out of my purse. It gets good gas mileage and while it's an automatic, I can switch it to "manual" and use the paddle shifters if I need to be able get going quicker to pass, or when taking advantage of a break in traffic to pull out of our neighborhood or something. My husband has a 2011 Mitsu Lancer and my son has a 2002 or 2003 Hyundai Elantra hatchback. It's old, with 122k miles, but otherwise is a great little car. He likes that it's older and red, he can always find it in a parking lot he says. Mine's a 'graphite grey' small suv, so it blends right into the sea of other little suv's parked together. I do have a Red Sox sticker in my back window, and a small Patriots one on a side back window that definitely stand out here in Colorado! I'm hoping to hear what the 2 rare, super expensive cars are too! A Lotus? A Ford GT? McLaren P1?

After driving a 2002 Ford Explorer to the very end we just bought a 2017 Ford Explorer Sport. It's ruby red... Love it! We will drive this one to the very end as well.
