Mine would probably be Sweet home alabama - Lynard Skynard Ventura Highway - America You should have been hanging out with me today. I heard Sweet Home Alabama 4 times today in a matter of about 3 hours. 1. A float in our parade had a band singing it. 2. Went to a cookout at the VFW and it was on the radio. 3. Went to the beach and heard it twice on people's radios at different times. It was starting to get weird. It's a great song though. I guess people of Michigan (at least in my town) love it too!

A radio station in our area was counting down the top 400 songs of the 80's. I loved listening to all of them! I expected The Police with Every Breath You Take.....but was pleased to report that MJ slide In At #1 with Billie Jean!
Great station to have in for our Holiday party!

I haven't had a chance to read the whole thread but I want to add my two cents before I head out for fireworks.
My current favorite song is Color Me In by Damien Rice. Do I think it is the greatest song of all time- no. That would be too hard to pick.
One of the podcasts I listen to, Song Talk with Richard Marx, asks a similar question. He doesn't ask what the greatest song is, he just asks the guest to name a perfect song. If you love music and the story behind some great songs, check it out.
