kellyr21 , I love those dresses. I'm sure with your tall trim figure you are beautiful in them! LisaDV , those pages are wonderful. I love the nostalgia I feel reading the journaling of the first one. The 2nd is so unique and cool! scrapincin, I think you are the "plant" winner. Looks like you found the right plant for kellyr21. What an interesting plant.

Hello Ladies. Just got home from another busy day: took dd & the little guy on a train excursion while his daddy stayed back and supervised packers. They are all three now back here at the farm for their last weekend before leaving the province next week.
It was a good day and I got lots of photos, but we are all exhausted.
Talk to you later!

Good news. The mayo has accepted dd as a patient and we'll be going in August. Praying for answers and relief. I just saw this. She's in my prayers. There's hope!

Good Saturday evening! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I have been dealing with tv issues. But we have figured it out now. When I have these things on my mind I don't sleep well. I got up and moved stuff around so the guy could get the modems etc and then he could not install the Dish. There are so many trees that the signal can not get thru. So we will keep what we have. But I did finally get my page scraped! I know don't fall off of your chairs. I need to go in there and do some more! LisaDV glad to hear you are going to the Mayo clinic. I use their website all the time as I feel it is a reliable source! We had a few of our patients go up there and they really helped them out. nylene loving your pages! I will go to the gallery and leave you some love! As for the plant I do searches all the time when I need to know something. I just put in green puffy plants and it pulled up a ton of photos but there was the the one I linked to! grammadee So glad to see you back. I don't hear you say you are exhausted very often so take it easy and get some rest! here's my post of the baby bunny! Easy Peasy by Cindy Blair, on Flickr

nylene , I think I'm going to totally copy that design for a page. I really like the houses along the bottom and while gathering Christmas stamps yesterday saw a row of houses stamp. msliz & scrapincin , thanks for the the mayo well wishes. scrapincin , fantastic page. The bunny is super cute. I left you love earlier this morning. grammadee , sounds like you are having a grand time with the family. Are you going to be ok with dd and family moving away? I finished this double pager yesterday morning (digital) dFunnyFaces by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr and this one yesterday evening dProjects by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr This one was part of a slow scrap/chat where they give you the recipe so you have no idea how many photos you'll be needing or anything. I would have totally chosen a multiple word title if it was up to me as well as a few other different things. But it was definitely fun.

Good evening, Ladies. Love your pages, scrapincin , nylene , and LisaDV . And I am looking forward in participating in CIJ after I catch my breath. Need to get going on those Christmas cards I signed up to create. Got some transparencies yesterday, so hope to use them for shaker cards: will see if my idea for them actually works! Tfs the photos of your dresses, kellyr21: my fav is the lacey red one, but they are all pretty. How is the summer treating you? I hear that justjac is back home and I am looking forward to seeing her on Wednesday, watching the Fair parade and doing a few scrappy things. We have had the first really hot days of the summer over this weekend. Dh is threatening to get someone to put in AC, but I keep telling him it is not really worth it for the few hot days we get. He is sitting on the deck with a fan pointed at him trying to cool down. We have thunder storms in the area tonight: I hope he remembers to move the fan under cover before he comes in so if it does rain the fan will not get wet. We are home and our house is empty after a very busy few days. We hosted dh's sister and her family tonight for an early bd party for dd. During the day we tried to fit in everything the little guy likes to do at the farm, so it was pretty busy. After supper, dd & family left to stay in a hotel for a couple of nights while they clean out their current rental (the little man will be in a summer program during the days). We will meet up with them again on Tuesday for supper to take some things like ladders and other tools back here. By then the truck will be on its way with their possessions and they will fly out on Wednesday. I need to crawl into bed soon and I would love to sleep in until noon, but I doubt if that is going to happen!

Since I have done one Christmas project, I let myself do this engagement layout. Love In The Air by Nylene Budge, on Flickr This is my 2nd Christmas project, so I am now working on the first wedding layout. Believe by Nylene Budge, on Flickr scrapincin, I just love your bunny photos. The title of your layout just makes me giggle. LisaDV, those are fun photos of your DD. Great double pager. Your son's page is wonderful for following a particular recipe. That sounds hard to me but you did a great job. msliz, anything exciting going on in your neck of the woods? Are you getting some scrapping done? @elaynef, have you started on your photos? I have to pick up a bunch today from Costco. So many photos, so little time! Save

Happy Monday! It has been HOT out here! So as most of your know, I am not crazy about the high heat but trying to make the most of it. I stayed in on Sat but Sun we did get out to church and later some shopping. I am working on some new art along with my other projects and that should be fun this week.
nylene & grammadee- Thanks for the camera advise. I will try the sports setting and read up and see what my camera has for quick shots.
scrapincin- I think you are right about that plant. I had never seen that plant before. So interesting looking.
LisaDV- How are your chickens and that rooster doing?
Waving hi to you all and glad to see so many of you scrappin. I hope to join the party this week too.

Good Tuesday morning!
It is raining. Dh has gone to town for coffee with his friends, I think I have [finally] had enough sleep, and the house is cool and quiet. Ahhh....
I have a couple of pages ready to go on my counter. Selected my photos, found a sketch and pulled out a paper pack last night, thinking I might try the 20 minute challenge, but even with all that prep done, I decided not to taunt myself with the timer and just enjoy the process. If you are having fun, it would make more sense to s-t-r-e-t-c-h out the time spent, don't you think?
Yesterday I attempted my first card for CIJ, but although I learned a few things about what NOT to do, I was not happy with the experience. May give up the idea of shaker cards and just go back to my regular card making. But yesterday I was tired and hot and cranky, so maybe I will give it one more try: just not today.
Okay. My coffee is almost down to the bottom of my big mug, so I am off here to create! Will post a pic later.

Okay. I am back. And here are my 2 pages. Photos were taken LAST July when the girls were here at the farm. I wanted to add these two pages to my Summer 2016 album before I cart the albums off to Saskatoon to share with the girls. Almost started working on another 2 page spread, but decided to check the album and guess what???--that story is already finished and in the album. Guess I have duplicate photos! grammadee , I'm glad you finally got caught up on your sleep. You are a busy girl! I love your photos of such fun and happiness. You have captured some great photos on those pages. I left a note in the gallery. kellyr21 , what kind of new art are you doing. I always love to see your newest creations. It is hot here too. I mostly stay in the house until evening when we have our meetings. I think we are finally getting control of all the fires around the state. The heat and no rain doesn't help. I finished Megan's wedding page. It's actually photos taken at the temple the day before the wedding to be used as decorations on table, on strings, and all around at the reception. My DD gave me my choice of any they used, so I took a bunch. I'll scrap a few of the actual day when they are printed. For Time & All Eternity by Nylene Budge, on Flickr I finished another Christmas page so now I can do one about Cousin Camp. grammadee , I know I couldn't do a layout it 20 min. but this Christmas page took only 2 half-hour old reruns of MASH last night. That's probably the fastest I've ever done. LOL Tis The Season by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

Wow, nylene, you are on FIRE! Not pokey at all this month! And such discipline: making sure you get so many Christmas related pages done before the wedding ones. Thanks for the love in the Gallery, Ladies. No scrapping for me today: off to meet up with justjac and her mom. We plan to watch the Fair parade, do lunch, maybe do a little scrappy shopping. Excited to see them of course, but also to pick up the diecuts Jac cut for me on her Silhouette. I also need to print pictures and run some other errands while in town. BBL

Hi! I'm new...well not to refupeas, but to this challenge. I really want to get back into scrapping, I haven't done anything for at least 6 months and then that was only one page. We just back from vacation on Saturday and I have over 200 pictures needing scrapped. I think I'm going to do them pocket style scrapping just to get them in a book. I'm really looking forward to the motivation. Can someone explain to me the challenge and where the gallery is so I can join in the fun?
Thank you!

Welcome Tammiem2pnc1, we are happy to welcome you to this thread. With 200 photos it looks like you have your work cut out for you. This challenge is incentive to scrap 4 pages per month. Many of our friends here don't scrap that many a month and some scrap that many every week. We post our layouts so others can see what our work. You may post whatever you finish and just join in and chat when you have time. The gallery is located at the top of this page in the blue strip next to Profile. It is connected to Flickr, so you do have to sign up for Flickr to post. You can post right from your files. I have not needed to resize them. Once you are signed in and ready to post, there is a little cloud with an arrow next to your profile in the gallery. That will allow you to post and will walk you through the process. We are here to help if you have problems. Tell us a little about yourself. We have a fun group of friends here and another friend is always welcome.

The 8 year old is Autistic and keeps me on my toes most days, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I work from home, babysitting a 3 year old girl and a 1 year old little boy. My boys both do online charter schools so are home with me every day. We have 2 cats and a hamster, life is busy, very busy. The little guy I watch is leaving me soon they are moving to Colorado (we are in PA). He is a handful and I'm thinking once he leaves next week life will calm down a bit and I can get some scrappy time in. I do scrap both paper and digital and I'm trying my hand to learn to knit. I always feel like I should be doing something creative. I look forward to getting to know everyone who participates here!

Good evening Peas! Hope all is well! Tammiem2pnc1 - Want to welcome you to Pokey Peas! As Nylene said we always have room for one more. I am Cindy retired wife, Mom of 2 girls and gramma of two-one of each. I have been a bit of a slump and not scrapping as I used to but I would like to get back there! I too scrap both digi and paper and I love them both. If you have any problems do not hesitate to ask any one of us we have been there before. Well I went to the new doctor and I think I am liking him already. He took time and started with what was the most important.I have to go and I will be back later.

Welcome to the Pokeys, Tammiem2pnc1! Sounds like you are a busy lady. Glad you are getting back into scrapping and that it gives you some creative outlet. Hope to see some of your creations soon. I am a retired adult educator, living on an Alberta farm with my dh of almost 49 years. We have 4 adult kids all married with kids of their own: so eleven grandkids aged 2 to 18 years (7 boys & 4 girls). I scrap with paper for two reasons: I have enough stash to keep me going for years, and I find digi projects really challenging. Most of my scrapping is about dgk's: their adventures and their everyday lives. These are a very welcoming bunch of Ladies. Hope you feel at home here.

Happy Thursday!!! It is Thursday right? LOL! This week just went so fast I had to think for a minute. Last night was one of our city's park concerts. I love this time of the year when they have these. So relaxing! The Marine's band performed and they were good. I like when they played the theme songs from each branch of the armed forces and have the men and women stand to be recognized. Next week will be big band night. This one should be good too. Tammiem2pnc1 -WELCOME! Glad to meet you and hope you enjoy scrapping again. I am married, from California and love lots of crafts like scrapping, card making, art and whatever else comes to mind. nylene - I am working on some home décor art. I keep seeing these wall art paintings and prints in the store and I keep thinking, "I can do that!" So this week I started experimenting with my own wall art with inspirational words like Joy. I will share some pics soon. grammadee - Glad to see you are back home and back to normal. How's that garden going? Waving hi to you all and have a nice afternoon/evening!

Tammiem2pnc1, I am jealous that you can do digi scrapping. I really love the feel of paper and love cutting things on my Silhouette, but sometimes I wish I could do some digi. My daughter tried to help me once.... she told me I ought to stay with paper! LOL I, like grammadee, have enough paper to last FOREVER. So I'll stick with that. I am a mother to 4 grown children and grandmother to 14. One DGD just got married and a DGS will be married next month. They range in age from 3 to 23. I am retired and teach 4-H and volunteer as a remedial reading teacher at a local school. My DH and I help conduct Addiction Recovery meetings in our area. In my spare time I love to scrap. We grew up in Idaho but came to Utah to college and stayed. We will be married 50 years in Dec. (So of course we must have been married at age 10.)LOL kellyr21, what fun for you and Ron to go to weekly concerts. I love the military bands and also the big band era. Enjoy the concerts for me too. At my DH's 50th class reunion they had a band that played all the military branch songs and asked classmates to stand when they heard theirs. I was surprised that there were very few who didn't stand. They were of the Vietnam era when nearly everyone was drafted. scrapincin, I'm glad you are liking the new doctor. I hope your mojo comes back so you can flood the gallery with layouts. I am surprised that I have enjoyed the Christmas Card scrapping so much. It's so quick and easy. Then I pull out the other stuff I'm anxious to scrap. Can I send you some extra mojo? I tried using the Sil. pen holder to write and wasn't very successful. I think I will buy the Sil. pens. My friends finally came today to see what can be done on the Silhouette. As I showed them each thing it could do they were amazed. (and I know I don't know all you can do) One was going home to pull hers out of the drawer it has sat in for 2 years. The other is going home to call her DD and ask to borrow hers (which hasn't been used in 2 years) for a month or two. LOL...she probably will never get it back. It was fun to have them here and chat and laugh with them for a couple of hours. We are off to say Farewell to a neighbor couple who have lived behind us since we moved here in the 70's. They are moving south to live with their DD who can help take care of them. Our children grew up together and their DD and our oldest DD were best friends and inseparable. It will be sad to have them go. I finished 2 Christmas pages and 2 Cousin Camp pages. They haven't been scanned yet, but I'll do that later this evening. BBL ]

Welcome Tammiem2pnc1, and hello Pokies! Tammie, you'll love the Pokey Peas. They're some very sweet ladies! I'm a SAHM of mom of 3 girls, 19yo twins and a 14yo. I had such a wonderful day today! My BFF is in from the midwest visiting her family here on the east coast, and I got to spend the day with her. Her daughter will be getting married next year, and they had the engagement photo shoot today. I wasn't the photographer, but I still got to take lots of pictures of my own, mostly of my friend, LOL. We were at a park by the beach, so after the shoot the fiance who had never been in an ocean before got to jump in! We had a great day, and I'll get to see them one more time on Saturday before they head back. I have lots of new photos to scrap, plus I was able to drop by the LSS on my way home and get some new papers to play with! nylene, I'm sorry about having to say goodbye to your friends. I've had to do that so many times and it's always awful.

Sounds like an awesome day, msliz ! And you can relive it when you scrap the photos! Glad you are getting artsy, kellyr21 . Can't wait to see your creations! My garden is coming along okay after a slow start due to late planting (soil too wet) and cool temps. Had some fresh peas right from the shell for supper tonight. You've been busy, too, LisaDV. Just saw your pages in the Gallery. I am amazed you get so much crafting done with all the other things going on in your life. Glad you found a doctor who will listen to you scrapincin . Hopefully your meds will be steightened out for you. I got a little crafty this afternoon. Have been doing some backgrounds for my CIJ cards using the 3 Oxide inks I have with photo paper. And I have been using the glitter pp I bought yesterday to diecut some winter scenes. So far I have 8 focal panels for card fronts. I don't usually make cards assembly line fashion, but I seem to be approaching these 10 that way. Also have 2 photo heavy pages finished, and my July calendar page started. Some pieces are drying and I am not sure what else the page needs. Hope to get it finished and a couple of new pages at least started in the morning and I will photograph & post today's pages then.

nylene I started digital scrapping a few years ago as a necessity. I don't have a dedicated scrap space and watching little ones I found that I wasn't scrapping at all because of the work it took to make sure everything was put away and out of sight. I would never ever dream of giving up paper though. I kept at it for special projects, like mini albums. I make decorations now and recently made a table top clock from paper and my Cricut. My vacation album I am going to start working on is going to be paper, but pocket scrapping style. Thank you all for the warm welcome! I'm really looking forward to jumping in with both feet. Today is my last day babysitting my little peanut baby (I've called him that since he started, he was born premature and always itty bitty). His family is leaving PA and moving to Colorado this weekend. He is almost 2 and keeps me on my toes every day! I still have a 3 year old I watch, but she is super calm and easy going. I see lots of things getting done starting next week...or the week after that, I need to do a good cleaning of my house from top to bottom first. As soon as I get my first pages done, I will pop them in the gallery!

Tammiem2pnc1 , hello and welcome. I have 2 children who I homeschool. The oldest starts high school this fall, and I'm trying to find an online high school for him right now. I also scrap paper and digi. @scapincin, I'm glad you're liking your new doctor. nylene , sounds like you have really turned your friends into silhouette users. Good job!! It's hard to say goodbye to good neighbors. msliz , that sounds like an amazing day! I went to my sisters in April to spend one day with my sister sans kids and one day with my BFF sans kids. It was the best. I didn't realize how much I needed it. BFF and I are now hoping to get together this fall for a girls weekend. grammadee , sounds like you are now back at the crafting table full on. How are you doing now that dd and family have moved? And, yay! for garden fresh foods. Also, if you are looking at my flickr feed, some of those layouts were old but just uploaded so I could share on msliz's make your own background thread. Since it seems I'm too lazy to actually upload everything. I've sent Don to the store after his movie outing with ds today, as I now have enough zucchini and cucumbers to make zucchini relish and regular relish, but have no peppers or onions in the house. So I will be putting up relish tomorrow. Don & I are starting a detox diet on Sunday. Even though dd is still on the elimination diet, the rest of us have gone completely off and are eating lots of junk again. I can feel it and need to clean out my system. I have my banners finally in the mail. I'm hoping to get some sewing done this week. Next weekend Don's taking care of the menu planning and meals to let me finish up the sewing. Swap banner pieces by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr Waving hi to everyone else.

Thanks, scrapincin. I didn't even see this until someone called attention to it on this board. Hope you are feeling better and all your technical problems have been resolved. LisaDV, I see you are busy as ever. I am finding it harder to get into Christmas card making than I thought I would. I think it is because I am not allowing myself to pull all my Christmas trove out into the open. I am often inspired by going through all my options. I tried one card design, but it was too much work and I didn't think the results warrented the effort. I have settled on a simpler design now. But I love the cards you posted in the Gallery, and now I think I want to try one of those interactive or stacked designs. What to do? What to do? Good luck with your relish. My garden is nowhere near the relish stage yet, but you are a long way south from here. Looking forward to seeing your creations, Tammiem2pnc1. I know you are happy to get some play time for yourself, but I bet you will miss that little guy. Our dd and family just moved across the country this week, and we will definitely be missing them and especially their very lively 4 year old. Glad you finally got to play with your friends, nylene. Hope they get their machines out and have a scrappin good time. Bet they will be calling you a lot! I hope the farewell gathering went well. And that you can stay in touch with them as they enter the next phase of life. We had a busy few weeks, and I am definitely missing dd & family already, but it felt good to have some peace and quiet and to get back into my craft room. Here are 3 of the 7 pages I finished over the last couple of days. My dgd and her mom sent me these photos of them enjoying Canada Day at the lake where they have a seasonal holiday trailer lot in BC. Let's get these summer days started!1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Let's get these summer days started! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And this will be my July page for the 2018 family calendar. I took the photo while we were waiting for the parade to begin on Canada Day. The stylized maple leaf was what justjac cut for me on her Silhouette, using a free cut file from Quietfire Designs. LisaDV, your banner pieces are great. You are brave to join in on swaps. I'd be afraid mine wouldn't measure up. grammadee, congratulations on your win! Thanks, scrapincin, for making us aware of it. Your pages are really nice. I love the triangles and the stylized maple leaf. I'll go leave you some love in the gallery. Well, it looks like my Pea is gone from my signature. I don't know how to get rid of the box or how to get it back in. I was thinking it was a 13 year, but I only have up to 12 in my computer file. Maybe I was wrong. I scanned my pages so will start posting them this evening. Just stopping in to say hi.

Love all your pages, nylene. You really are the Silhouette queen: love all the different embellishments you come up with. I ended up doing a couple of quick pages yesterday morning, using photos posted by my ddil about a visit to a petting zoo/farmyard they took in June. barnyard adventure by Gramma Dee, on Flickr barnyard adventure2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And I started a page with the flamingo float photo. Just received the cute flamingo diecuts msliz sent me, so one of those will definitely find a home on that page. Probably one of the phrase diecuts too. No more crafting for me for the next few days. We are leaving for Saskatoon today to visit with our ds who works there and his family who has flown in from BC. They are at a frinds' cabin for the weekend but will meet up with us in the city. I loaded up a years' worth of scrapbooks for the girls to go through. They have always loved to do that, but our other visits through the year have involved air travel for me, and those books are heavy! When we get back Tuesday, I need to dive right into house cleaning, b/c another ds and family plan to spend a few days here at the farm over the following weekend. See you later! Have a super Sunday!

nylene, I love your tea party layout. It made me think about a tea party layout of my own that's in my future. I was already planning to get a teacup die for a Disney page, so I'm going to use that, but now I'm going to steal your idea of pairing the cups with doilies. So adorable! grammadee, I have the same hay bale PP, but I never figured out a good way to use it. It always seemed to overwhelm everything else in the layout. I really like the way you have it just as a border, set apart by that red. Nice!

grammadee , you have made some great pages. You have been so busy with traveling, I don't know how you do anything else. Is that baby chick part of the background paper or was that a photo you took and made into the background? Be safe on your travels. Congrats on your winning comment. Sorry you already have that copy. nylene , fabulous pages as always. Dee is right, you really amaze with your silhouette and paper piecing. I was always afraid that my stuff wouldn't be up to snuff when I started swapping back on the 2peas swap forum. What I find is for quality of work, I'm sort of in the middle most of the time; as for style, I found that I truly love the different styles that you get exposed to. It gets me thinking outside myself. Sorry about your pea signature. I could never get my pea signature to work, and now I can't find where I saved it on my computer. I'm tooting my own horn now. I was listed on July 14th's gallery standouts website. My layout is about in the middle. I started my dd's health album and this was the first page I created for it. Once it's all finished, I'll print them in an 8x8 book. We put our turkey chicks in the pen with our chickens yesterday. They like having the roaming room. Ed (our Bantam rooster) tried to get them to go in last night. He was crowing and chasing them, but they didn't understand. Hopefully they'll get the idea soon, but Don and I had to go get them and put them in the coop. They really are so much fun to watch. I can't believe I'm saying that. DD, our resident chicken expert, says that most likely egg laying will take place sometime around the first part of August, but that really it could be any day now. She's excited as we're testing her on eggs once they start laying.
