Hey everyone! I'm still enjoying my "I love not camping!" weekend  Dh sent me a photo of him and dd#2 and it looks like they are having a good time camping  Dd#1 suggested cooking dinner together tonight so I told her to find a recipe that she wants to make ... she's at work right now so I have no idea what we're having tonight   I managed to find a food and camping meme for today   What's on your menu tonight? |

Great meme leannec. We're going to the local fair today. I'm not sure what we'll do about dinner. It depends upon the time and whether or not dh decides to eat fair food. Am I going to lose my fun card, because I've always detested fair food? I'm guessing I won't be cooking tonight. Have a fun day everyone. |

It is the last night of or Norwegian knitting adventure, and our wonderful hostess is cooking up a Norwegian feast. We are having reindeer stew with mashed potatoes, followed by cloudberry cream. I think there are also a couple of roast chickens, to make sure we don't go hungry.
We have had such a fun weekend of knitting, sightseeing, laughing and booze. I'll be a bit sad to leave tomorrow, but I am definitely coming back to this gorgeous corner of the world.

leannec, bears were not one of the many reasons I do not like camping, but I'll add them to the list. scrapmaven, hang on to your fun card. I like some of the smells of fair food, but have no interest in eating any. sueg, I can understand why you'd be sad that your Norwegian Knitting Adventure is drawing to a close. It has all sounded so wonderful. I always enjoy hearing about the places you visit, the things you do while there, and the food you eat. Thank you for sharing with us. For dinner tonight, we're having a ground beef-zucchini-brown rice dish and salads.

Dinner? Nothing yesterday and the same today. Our flight was scheduled for 18.55, and due to a storm system in the Atlantic, it was delayed more than two hours. And when we arrived home at noon today, all the stores were closed (we had forgotten to as my mom to shop for us), so dinner was just sandwiches. And chocolate.

At the lake with three teenage boys, so burgers on the grill with a mound of pasta. Salad for those over 16! S'mores for dessert.

Dh and I are babysitting our little granddaughter while her mom is in Austin, Texas on a short vacation. We don't plan on much cooking...dh anticipates being tired!! We took her to the beach this morning. I'm pretty sure dh is picking up fried chicken for dinner.

Lots of things on the stove and in the crock pot cooking for the week. But I'll probably go with spaghetti for DH and zucchini pasta for me with salad.

I am making those copycat white castle burgers (in the recipe forum). I don't generally cook with ground beef but I am so tired of chicken breast. (I'll make up for it tomorrow when I make teriyaki chicken but I am happy to make hamburgers tonight. Last night I made tacos.)

We are having funeral sandwiches and cheesy potatoes for supper this early evening. We ate lunch early so we wil be eating supper at 5 tonight so most of our party can go to a tiny little town that has a street dance and fireworks tonight. I am sure there will be veggies and fruit to fill out the menu.

Dh found a mustard crusted pork tenderloin recipe. I had the pork in the freezer. The kids prob won't like it but they also have never liked mustard.
I made jalapeño cornbread, baked beans and a vinegar Cole slaw to go with it.
To be honest I'm not feeling the pork but I'll try it. I also ate half a bag of BBQ chips on the way home from the store so there's that.

In honor of leannec's meme I think we will have tacos tonight. I'm out of milk so have to stop at TJs this afternoon and might pick up some pulled pork, might go with fish (my favorite) or maybe a little of both. I'll make a coleslaw to go with them. |

I know y'all have missed my adventures in less than healthy dining choices... It is raining, thundery and kind of slow around here today. Thankfully. It has been quite hectic around the anxious world and I will take a quiet lazy day. And by lazy, I mean I can't really think of one single productive thing I've done since I got up today. I've read a lot, watch a bit of tv, napped...I did feed the cats-just so they wouldn't consider eating my eyeballs while I napped so I guess I have done *something* Lunch was a pop tart, so I should probably eat something that is considered real food? |

Ribs in the IP then finished on the grill. With Mac n cheese and veggies.
I'm off tomorrow so I made a giant pitcher of iced tea, which I plan to sit around and drink it while doing very little else tomorrow.
