This is the the first I've heard of it. Looks like it just started this week. Anyone else know of it? Looking at the first 'kit' doesn't do much for me. The papers and elements kind of look outdated. Club 52

Yep, you're right, nicolep, it does look outdated. Both the colour palette and overall aesthetic look a good couple of years behind. A lot of super generic scrap phrases as well, stuff I'm just trying to avoid at all cost these days. I did like the inclusion of green lights as one of the possible answers for the "I love you more than" card.

As much as I love Lisa Bearnson and her colorful styled layouts from the old QVC days, I'll pass on this. It seems like a step backwards for her!

Might be good for beginning scrappers. The colours and sayings are kind of middle of the road, and beginners may benefit from detailed instructions.
Not for me, though. I remember ordering a set of her kits years ago. Was she with CK? Anyway, when I got the kits I found them difficult to work with because they didn't seem to offer me the options I like to have right up to the final glue down.

I think it's cute. I wouldn't buy it, though. Lately I find that a lot of companies seem to be regressing in the area of style to appeal to a different market (since scrapbooking is nowhere near what it was in it's heyday)so she's going along with that trend.

Is it $52 with a regular price of $74?
It's not my style, but that seems pricey to me.

What happened with her Youngevity line? Is that what it was called?
Lisa has done a lot of great things for the industry, but I don't really think of her as a product innovator. That said, I watched the video and thought the patterns were cute. Wouldn't pay that much for them, but they are cute enough.

Wow that's expensive for what is in essence a PL type kit with some cheap card bases thrown in. No 12x12 papers - just pocket cards + embellishments (including small stamp) plus 8 x white 12x12 cardstock for layout bases and 4x bases & envelopes for cards for cards. No thanks.

It's a big no for me. I don't need someone to tell me how to scrapbook and the colors/patterns are way too loud for how I scrapbook. I can think of better ways to spend $52.

Maybe she is trying to get back to her scrapping roots. I don't think her last efforts did well. She had that tool she was selling on HSN-it pumped air onto a marker and sprayed the ink. The Club 52 kit isn't something I'd buy but I hope she does well with it. I agree with Grammadee in that the kit would be good for beginners.

I like Lisa Bearnson, and I respect her very much. But....she had that Anthology thing out for a year with all this hype hype hype and build up to get people to sign up to be a CEO for $300. I didn't bite, but I did sign up to be a Distributor for $25. I never received one order.
The Anthology line lasted a year and no new products since May or June 2016. I'm assuming the line did not go over well. Then she comes up with this home decor thing called "Canvas Exchange" for a few months. That must not have done well since no new products since August 2016. Then no new products for a year and things on sale for a year. She got a new website several months back and there aren't even any links to her Anthology line. She doesn't blog for weeks and weeks or months at a time. I figured she was getting ready to sell something because she has been blogging more since June.
Now the blitz regarding the Club 52 thing, sorry, I'll pass.

I like her video. I can't watch process videos....too long for me.
$52 for 4 layouts and cards? I seldom spend that much for 52 layouts.

It's quite bold and colorful. So much so that I think it would be too much competition for pictures.

Who is she trying to appeal to? As previous posters said, this has quite a juvenile feel to it, but it's not priced at kids prices and there are other products out there - PL, Heidi Swapp- that have a much more youthful look.

OK... I had to click through 3 pages on 3 different sites to actually find out what the product was in any detail and why it was called Club 52 (my first thought was that it was weekly, but I guess you'll make 52 cards and 52 scrap pages in a year if you stick with it for 12 months and actually make all of the things). The intro video wasn't appealing to me - it didn't really explain anything.
I don't personally understand the impulse to make the exact same pages as every other person who buys the kit, just with different pictures, but I guess some people would be fine with that, and I'm all for getting people started with crafting. It seems pretty expensive though. When BH launched PL way back when, couldn't you get a core kit and album, enough for your whole year, for not much more than the monthly price of this subscription? $624 for 52 cards and 52 layouts? And it doesn't even come with an album.
When I got to the last page that actually told me (kind of) what I'd get for my money I was like wtf is Youngevity and why do they have a resource center and is this religious or some kind of multi level marketing thing and why are they selling turmeric supplements here as well...?! Yeah, I don't know who this would appeal to, and of the three pages I saw there wasn't one I would share with someone to say "hey, look at this cool thing" (even if I thought it was cool).

Yes .... why are they selling turmeric supplements here as well...?! Cuz MLM "health" company :*) I think Lisa wants back to her gravy (and money) days when she was a very big fish in a much smaller scrapbook world. Then we had the scrapbook explosion, then the implosion, and now the smaller steady state world w/Ali and AC and Kelly and Echo Park and Simple Stories and pocket scrapbooking, etc. I think she still wants top dollar for pretty standard (and beginner-looking) supplies. Let's call it the "Studio Calico business model."

No way am I paying $52/month for the product shown in the video... that is insane!
I also don't generally like kits that included only one theme. I need more variety on my layouts + cards. Club 52 is a pass for me.

Some moms might think to themselves. "hey that looks like something I can do!" Someone with no idea how many different brands and collections are out there. It is colorful enough for children's photos. More power to Lisa if she can get more people into scrapbooking.

But wasn't it actually Kristy Banks who designed most of the layouts for Lisa anyway? At least for the way back when QVC shows, I thought most of that was Kristy's work.
