Does anyone have these? I got them a few days ago, and the above die is driving me crazy! There are so many tiny pieces (window spaces) and they don't seem to cut all the way through, no matter how many passes I give it, number of shims, 90° turns etc, nor what kind of paper/cardstock I use. I have to spend ages pushing out all the pieces and they end up ripping the back of the card. Help! I love the die, but it's not helping its cause here.

Do you have a Sizzix precision base plate? I've had really good luck using it with intricate dies.

Sorry don't have that die but have you got this metal shim from Cheery Lynn? I've found it a real help with other intricate dies. Also another idea- reverse the way you're cutting - e.g. if you cut with the die down, flip it so it's cutting up. I have also seen suggestions from Memory Box about putting targeted shims on troublesome areas of a die using washi tape - i.e. building up the particular area that never cuts through. Not sure if that would work here. If you've tried all sorts of things and it's still not cutting through, there is a possibility it's a defective die. Might be worth contacting CS?

I got an intricate die like that from Taylored Expressions a year or so ago. Tried all the above tricks with no success. Contacted TE. They asked me to email a pic of the die and the unsuccessful cut, and then they replaced the die. The new one works wonderfully.
I recommend contacting the people you bought it from.

I had a similar problem with the mini chevron die from The STamps of Life. I returned it last week . . . tried all of the above except the precision plate because I have a Cuttlebug!

I thought when you said you hadn't used the precision plate, you were actually referring to the metal shim (I missed freeatlast's post, and the precision plate looks a lot like a metal shim to me), and I thought you were saying you couldn't use a metal shim in the CB.
