Our work is going to having its second annual bazaar. Employees can sell their crafts, baked good, etc.
I did it last year and sold cards, gift card holders and some knitted dishcloths.
If you do craft fairs, what are your big sellers? I'm thinking about adding some nugget boxes or wrapped candy bars, some Snowman soup type bags, etc. I also have a pattern for a knitted coffee cup sleeve.

I don't sell at craft fairs, but have worked a food booth as a volunteer multippe years. The sign booth (think shabby chic painted signs), handmade vinategy decor antiques, and wood block letters did really well.

I find anything people would need special or expensive equipment or experience to make their items do well. Cutting machines, laser wood burning, saws, etc.

i did. 10 years ago. i don't even see that many of them around anymore. of the few i've gone to, i've seen people selling jewelry and cards. i saw some people still selling folk art stuff that you can get for way cheaper at Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

I am a buyer and not a seller. I buy jewellery, biscotti, soup mixes, mince tarts, and pickled __________ from vendors at craft fairs. I tend to go to just one a year that I love. I have bought hand cream (yuck), a tree skirt for Christmas (good buy), a waterproof bag for bringing a bathing suit home from the pool and "stuff".

I went to a craft fair last weekend and bought a wooden sign with my favorite verse on it.
I also bought a metal snail for my yard that was made out of a wagon wheel, a pump handle, and various other metal pieces and parts.
I tend to go for things that I can't make myself.

I do. Stocking stuffers do well as it gets closer to the holidays.
I find that having something that most others do not helps. If it looks cheap, people might skip over it.

I think it's useful to have a lot of things at smaller pricepoints, little $1 impulse buys. Nuggets will probably be great for that-- I can eat them while I'm browsing the rest of the bazaar. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg) Not sure if you have ever visited Splitcoast, but here is a thread on craft sale best sellers. I think you can access it, even as a guest.

I'm really crafty, but I have no desire to sell. I sometimes buy though. I look for unique Christmas ornaments or décor (especially snowmen), cute handmade gift things that I can send to my sister that I wouldn't take the time to make myself, dip or cheese ball mixes, t-shirts with fun sayings if they're priced right (I'm not paying $35 for a t-shirt though), 'smelly jelly' scent jars, cinnamon roasted nuts, stuff like that.

I love going to craft fairs and finding something unique that I never see anywhere else. I've thought about selling, but am too chicken!

Water. Buy a case for about $3 and sell it cold for $1 each. Can't do better than that!

I don't sell, but my favorite craft fair purchases lately have been those little quilted bowl-shaped potholders you use by putting the bowl in before microwaving so you don't burn your hands pulling them out. We use them for cold bowls of ice cream, too! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg) We've got several but I find I can always use more. I prefer the ones that are a bit flatter-bottomed and wider to go with our rimmed bowls.

My friend sells small succulent planters and does quite well. She makes planters out of concrete and spray painted dinosaur toys People pay way more than I thought they would for them, so I am sure some of it is area.

I'm on my school fundraising team and we took cuttings from succulents, put them in pots from the cheap shop and Kmart ( bought a whole pile of little copper rimmed ones for $1- bargain!) and they sold like crazy. The older students snapped them up- we are going to sell them again next year. Ours was for a Mother's Day stall. We even had staff trying to buy them-very popular. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) Corinne

Thanks for the input. This will be quite a small bazaar with just 8-12 employees selling things. Some last year sold food items. I'll think about it the next few weeks and decide what to add to my cards and gift card holders.

Cards were always a big seller, I actually wish I had done more especially like generic bday ones and Thank you ones.I also did blocks for holidays. The vinyl stuff. It's been a long time. I had school teachers that would buy my cards in sets. My SIL did a table and she always wanted me to do it with her. I really like doing them but it's been a while. Have fun lots you could do with school coming back and the holidays.

my very first craft fair was for my MIL's Soroptimist Club. it was after one of their luncheons. there was only 10 of us. talk about a captive audience. i made great money in just the 1 1/2 hour they had to shop.
