Funny how different people view the same thing... I do NOT want to be buried, mostly because I don't like the idea of my family feeling like they need to "visit me", or have a gravestone/site they are obligated to keep tidy, leave flowers at, etc.

Cremation all the way! I want part of my ashes buried with my DH (wherever we decide that will be), and the other part to be spread in my favorite place.
I hate funerals, so I hope that my family and friends would get together, enjoy dinner and a few drinks, and reminisce about the good times we shared.

I had my dad cremated when he died 3 months ago. This came at me from left field. I was surprised at how easy it was to arrange a cremation. It literally was one phone call.
My husband and I both want to be cremated. He doesn't know what he wants done with his ashes. I want my family to find a beautiful view in the mountains , toss my ashes to the wind, and place a nameplate there, either on a rock or a bench, so they can visit and enjoy the view with me.
