Who can identify the name brand that goes with these no name dies and stamps?
I just realized a stamp set I just ordered is by Fiskars, saw it in J's today. I bought Tim Holtz dies, Birch Press layered dies, and Studio Light (Uk) layered stamps.

There are a few word sets that are sold in pairs for like $10 from Spellbinders and are around $2 for 4 (so $20 from Spellbinders).

I've found SSS, Kaisercraft, Hero Arts, Memory Box, Tim Holtz, Spellbinders, Lawn Fawn, MFT and several others. I'd link a listing, but I still have some in my cart I haven't bought. >< So if I have a stamp set but didn't get the matching dies from any of these companies I might be able to find them on Aliexpress? I am excited at this prospect as so many of the dies are so expensive.

How are you locating clones for the brand name stamps/dies on Ali Express? I end up going down the 'rabbit hole' looking and looking. Is there a short cut way to find a particular item?

Do you have a link to the dies similar to Birch Press layered dies?

I saw the Sizzix dotted rectangle set I already own and paid a lot more for. I know it's the Sizzix one because in the smallest rectangle it has Thanks.

And now I just found those beautiful nesting dies from Honey Bee that are like $60 to get all 3...for $3.39 each. I just haven't found all three in the same listing...guess I'm going to be going down a rabbit hole tonight to see if I can find all three, lol.

I'm like amazed. I'm finding like ALL of the non stamp set specific dies from lawn fawn now. Clouds, the tree background, all of the envelope, bag and box sets. The link above has a few of them, too. I'm like so glad I only have a few of these sets already...I've learned recently you can only fit 100 items in your cart and I'm about at that capacity now...going to have to REALLY pair things down to add all of these LF deliciousness. Totally not kosher, but I can't afford LF and I hate their sale price restrictions with a passion and haven't been buying much as a result (I only have a few from this year because someone had a huge half off sale when they were brand new and I couldn't pass it up).

Yeah...This thread sent me back over, too. I found several Memory Box backgrounds I've been wanting. I bought a couple and carted a couple for later. I also found the brand new Tim Holtz dies that have only been out a few weeks that have the little 'brick' circle cut outs, and the Mama Elephant Cat Accessory Die. I wish they had a save for later option. I don't want to spend $30-$40 at one store, so I'm going to have to open the links again, bookmark them, clear those ones from my cart, check out and re-add to my cart. I even found the Amy Tan doodled camera that I LOVE in die form. As far as I'm aware, it's only in a 4 piece stamp set (and I have it solely for that stamp). I'm really excited to find it and even if that one die being $2.99 is kind of expensive for Ali Express, I'm willing to pay it.

I don't do die-cutting, but have a question about what you guys are looking at / buying from this website-- does the fact that they're brand-name *clones* mean that they're knock-offs, or what? Do you have any reservations about the quality of the products you're buying from there? (I'm asking for future reference, lol!)

Boy I just spent 20 minutes on a long post but it was just way to complex/political/moral and I just really didn't want to go there. But, in short I feel extremely guilty purchasing from Aliexpress (only once), or thinking about purchasing (all the time). Simply put - the prices at Aliexpress are what the retailers here are purchasing the items for and you can see how much they are marking up the prices. These companies search for the best price so they can make the most profit, that is their goal. We are just following the American business model in looking for the best price so we profit by having saved money in order to spend those saved dollars on more good.
It is a slippery slope......

scrapaddict702 They do have a wishlist function. It doesn't always work right for me, but they have one. I find it doesn't work when I'm using the app on my tablet.

Do you have a link to the dies similar to Birch Press layered dies? Use the links others posted below and use the 2017 search. It takes some close searching but you can find all 3 of most die sets but not usually in the same stores. Here is the link to Birch Press Designs which is a handy reference for searching out dies. I bought all three Sevilla and Dazzle A birchpressdesign.com/Crafts/Craft-Dies/Stackable/

Since I found AliExpress I shop there all the time. I've bought many things from there, most which are dies and I have absolutely zero reservation about purchasing a die that costs a few dollars. I have spent a small fortune buying dies from SSS, Memory Box, Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant, you name it, so when I see something at Ali for a few bucks that is selling here for $40, I feel no guilt about saving money and getting 20+ dies for $40! Maybe as more people discover Ali, the cost of the dies here will come down because in my opinion, they are way over priced. That die that sells for $40 should be half of that at most!

Oh dear, this simple game of I Spy suddenly turned quite serious! LoL. I think we can all rationalize anything. It's also a good argument for US manufacturing, because at least here the companies have legal recourse. I never think to look at the Birch Press website. I bought one of the Amour layers the other night and had no idea what it was. The only set I've found all 3 of is the one you did. I've seen 1 of most other sets, but never all 3. What we need to do, lol, is start compiling a list of where to find those darn sets!

I didn't mean to start a moral dilemma / discussion, really I didn't! I was just wondering, since people were saying the dies were the same as ones they've seen on other sites, from other companies, what the difference was between the two. I appreciate the information about the possibilities of manufacturing or quality issues, and to be cautious with what you spend the $$ on.
(and I also agree that most stamp / scrap supplies seem overpriced, for what you get-- for sure!)

I will always buy Ebay before Ali if it's in both places, though, just because of buyer protection. I've had to rely on them for claims way too many times to take it for granted.
