My order from yesterday shipped. But I realize now it is Friday, so it might make sense to wait to place my next order until Sunday given the time difference. I also looked up haul vids on yt and discovered some of the layering sets were all there but sold out. Hopefully they will restock! The haul videos are where I saw them, too, but no one ever links the stores they use. I'm still baffled by that request for a SCAN of my license, card and bank statement. That's just unbelievable to me. When I did a web search, there's lot of people that say it has to do with Chinese banking regulations, and that ultimately every buyer will be asked to provide that information. I contacted their customer service and told them there was no way I'd provide that much information for a $2 purchase, and they said I could block out my card number except the last 4 digits, and provide images of my Ali bank transaction instead of my bank statement, but I still can't see it. Has no one else had this happen yet? I have had to do this - I did scan my licence and blocked out certain details, as well as the credit card. I was unsure, but I subscribe to the AliExpress subreddit and they talk a lot about having to do this on there, so I was comfortable doing it with the details blocked. I have had no problems since I submitted that info - it was back in March, and I haven't had any stolen credit card numbers or anything like that, and I have received my orders.

What all did you block out? I can see them wanting to see my verify my name and mailing address, but with the documents they requested, they'd have my name, address, birthdate, license number, signature, physical details, my cc number and my purchasing habits. They asked for a phone number on registration, so they even have that. The only thing they're really missing for identity theft is my social! Thanks.

I'm not sure if what is shown on my Canadian Driver's Licence is the same as what is shown on an American one. I blocked out everything except my name and address. For the credit card, I blocked out part of the number. I didn't show the back of the card, so they didn't get my signature or cvv.

So...I was cruising Ali today, and found several full MFT sets, including one with the dies available. Then I found these. The sayings are MFT, the hippos...are not. SO wrong. Just sayin'. link

Has anyone bought stamps from Ali Express? I'm concerned about the likely quality - i.e acrylic rather than photopolymer?

Has anyone bought stamps from Ali Express? I'm concerned about the likely quality - i.e acrylic rather than photopolymer? For the most part they are acrylic, not polymer, like the kind you'd find in the Target dollar spot or Dollar Tree. They are also prone to defects like bubbles, being uneven, etc. So it's a crap shoot. They're a little better than ebay, but can still be really hit or miss. I bought 2 sets, 1 was great, the other one has bubbles and won't stick to the stamp block. So...right now I'm running 50/50! You also don't have the same recourse you have with ebay. Ebay requires sellers to pay return shipping. Ali requires buyers to pay return shipping, even on defectives, or to accept a partial refund. So...I'd say if you only want to make one or two things with a set and you're willing to risk $1-2, not so bad. If you actually like the stamp and really want it, buy the real one.

Along that line, the ali ones are the same as what you would buy straight from american crafts. So you are better off just buying those on ali if there is a significant price difference.

Hmm think I'll give the stamps a miss. Quality seems too uncertain.

Hmm think I'll give the stamps a miss. Quality seems too uncertain. Something else to consider--I bought a couple stamps from a couple different vendors to check out the quality. So....today someone sent me the wrong stamp, but the return address and all info except MY address is in Chinese, so I have no bloody clue who sent me the wrong stamp. I may be taking the envelope to the Chinese restaurant across from my work and begging them to translate, but the store name is rarely the shipper name, so it probably won't help. I'm guessing I'll have to make a generic Ali ticket, attach a photo, and hopefully they can figure out who the seller is. I got 2 stamps in the mail today, and both were decent quality. One was folded in half and literally creased so several stamps are ruined, but they would have been decent, usable stamps. So...quality is up to 3/4, but I'm still having problems with 3/4 stamps between the damage and the wrong stamp.

I've placed multiple orders over the past month. I've received all but one of them within two weeks. I'm going to place a dispute on my first order though. July 6 and it's still not here. It had the baby Groot die that started this whole thing for me - which I actually have a place to use now since my daughter met Star Lord and baby Groot at Disney. Slightly frustrated at that one. Sigh.

Well several orders of dies arrived and I'm really pleased with them - magic slider dies plus a nice frame and tags and some more slider tracks. They all cut well and seem like good quality. Most things have arrived in under 2 weeks. Still waiting for one order which has a number of pop up dies in it.

They want you to contact the seller before opening a dispute and most will just extend the protection the first time.
I am really surprised to read so many are unhappy with the stamps. I must have over 50 and except for some misspelling (which I should have caught before ordering) I have had no problems. I was able to do a little clipping and fix all of the spelling goofs American Crafts is having a lot of problems with spelling so I guess it isn't just China stuff that needs a good editor

How big is this when it's cut? Will a gift card fit in it?

How big is this when it's cut? Will a gift card fit in it? The measurements on the listing say 106mmx144mm for the die, which is a shade under 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 so a gift card would definitely fit. SaveSave

I received my second order yesterday...not my first, though (it had more things so was probably shipped via a quicker method). I love everything! I'm just reluctant to buy more because I also need to buy more magnet to make additional die storage backers and that alone costs more than my costliest store carts I have on Ali. I actually am trying to place an order on eBay, but I keep getting an error message...I wonder if they were reported or something since most of the dies are Lawn Fawn. Other carts will allow me to check out without any problems.

I've been browsing through AliExpress for several days to find the Lawn Fawn Cozy Christmas, Spooktacular, Booyah and Baaah Humbug stamp sets (and matching dies. To no avail. Has anyone seen any of these down the rabbit hole? Is there an AliExpress Lawn Fawn recap post with all the sets you scrap ladies have unearthed? I feel like I'm losing too much time (and coming across too many Waffle Flower things instead )... Help a poor scrap soul out. Pwetty pwease?

Very few lf stamps (only saw the one mentioned above thay was sold out) are there. The only dies I have found are stand alone...they probably want to make sure the dies work with the stamps and are continuing to make those stateside together to keep that happening. Easier to cut corners when something doesn't have to work with something else, kwim?

I got it for half off on sale branded actual Lawn Fawn (the store was going out of business). I thought I nabbed it for a steal as it was a brand new release then (Jan or Feb). I don't feel all that bad, though, considering these deals more than make up for it AND it goes to show just how inflated the costs are if Ali is able to make a profit selling things for 90% off of retail. I've been grabbing others, though. I'm about to place another order, too. Trying to spread it out...more happy mail since I can't shop the way I used to and it's easier to keep track of packages that way. I don't want to order a ton at once from several stores as it's more likely I'll forget about an order if one happens to get lost.

Since I've found Ali, I've bought a ton of dies and just today I picked up a MFT stamp, which is my first stamp. Sells for $18 US and I paid $3.50 (CDN) with free shipping! I'm hooked! I just wish shipping was faster. I'll post an update when I get the stamp to let you know how it compares to sets I've paid a LOT more for! MFT Stamp from Ali
