A lot of people here call them "sushi" but I always thought sushi referred specifically to raw fish. I would call the rolls above "California rolls." I have also heard them sometimes called "hand rolls." Curious to know what other people call them. What made me think of this is that I just bought some "spider rolls" that have soft shell crab in them for lunch. They are similar to the rolls above except they are bigger rolls and are cut into slices. (If I hadn't wolfed them down so quickly I would have taken a photo and posted it here. They were delicious.)

A California roll has crab, cucumber, and avocado.
The top one looks like it has egg and carrot, the other spam and lettuce.
Generally speaking, we call it sushi.

Those aren't traditional California rolls. California rolls have crab or shrimp salad, avocado and cucumber. I don't know what that is. And hand rolls are usually cone shaped. Those are cut rolls before they are cut.

Generally speaking, sushi. Those look like different kinds of sushi rolls. A California roll would be specific to crab, cucumber, and avocado, although I always see them cut into slices.

California rolls usually have the rice on the outside of the nori, and are avocado, cucumber and some kind of (cooked) seafood, most often crab. I’d call those in the picture sushi, generically, but does that top one have egg and carrot in it? Sushi with cooked seafood - or even no seafood at all - is still sushi (like spider rolls). Sashimi is always raw, though.

We (people in California) do call it sushi, but I do differentiate between sashimi and rolls.

I agree with above posters. Hand rolls are cone shaped and usually have a lot more sticking out of them. California rolls have specific ingredients inside and rice on the outside.
Take this for what it's worth though. I grew up in the Midwest part of the US (Indiana) and now live in a desert part of the US (Arizona.) Neither area is known for seafood or sushi.

Technically, sushi is the vinegared rice. I would call these sushi rolls. Usually they are identified by what is in them (tuna roll, salmon roll, etc.) Sashimi is just raw fish. As others have pointed out, a California roll is a specific filling and rolled with the rice on the outside of the nori.

Sushi can contain raw or cooked ingredients. Sashimi is usually raw. The top is a vegetarian roll. I'm not sure what type of rolls the bottom two are, but they don't look like spam to me. ETA: The two bottom rolls contain roast duck: oneequalstwo.wordpress.com/2012/08/13/rice-rice-baby/

Generally sushi, specifically maki. Anything rolled within nori is maki. A California roll is a type of sushi and none of those photos you posted look like a California roll

Generically, sushi. More specifically, in my mind or to a sushi chef, maki (vs. nigiri or sashimi.) But I may not say maki because it doesn't seem commonly called that here--so I'd be more likely to call them rolled sushi or California rolls in conversation.

That's maki - what kind, I don't know. California rolls are uramaki (rice on the outside of the rolls) with crab, cucumber, and avocado. Hand rolls (temaki) have the nori on the outside and are rolled by hand (without a mat) into a cone shape. It's all sushi.

They fall under the generic name of sushi, and are specifically california rolls. So both. Sushi is a larger name for many dishes - Uramaki, nori, nigiri, etc. At least, that's how I learned it.

They are called norimaki - nori rolls, which are a type of sushi. The top looks like tamago (egg). I don't know what kind of meat is in the other two. These are made to be sliced into smaller pieces. A hand roll is usually rolled into a cone shape and eaten as is.
And these are not California rolls. The ingredients determine what is a California roll (crab, cucumber, and avocado).

I've also seen a version in Japanese restaurants that has the flat omelet, carrot, and I think mushrooms.

Sushi doesn't refer to the fish.
I'm vegetarian and I regularly eat sushi.
I get avocado rolls, cucumber rolls, mushroom rolls.
