This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . There are no prizes for this challenge, just a chance to enjoy the works of other Pokey Peas Refugees. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Sorry to be slow getting this up. I planned to get it up last night, but had a late meeting and forgot. grammadee, so glad your husband did well. Be careful going home. LisaDV, I am glad your DD is ready to go home. She's a brave little trooper. Please take your time and stop to rest when you need to. We want you to arrive safely. I finally got graduation pages done from Connor's May graduation. I will scan them and post soon. Have a great weekend if I don't get back before Labor Day.

Happy September! Thanks for setting up the new thread, nylene. Looking forward to seeing your grad pages. We are back home. Dh is still pretty tired, but we don't plan to be doing anything over the next few days. He enjoyed a long nap in his recliner after we arrived home, has had supper, and is now surfing his favorite news, sports, and drama TV channels. I admit I had a nap too this afternoon.

Thanks for the new thread NYlene! What would we do without you! Looking forward to seeing your new pages! grammadee - so glad to hear that you and your DH are home safe & sound also. I would say you both deserved a little naptime! I had pain in my back thru to my chest today so went to rehab and skipped the rowing machine and the weights. I did not want to go a week without anything being as they are closed Monday. LisaDV Did you make it home? Well it is late and I am really tired. See ya tomorrow!

grammadee I am so sorry I should have said that it is probably muscles not used to working as we did with those 2 exercises. That's why I skipped the two that are the new ones and they do work those muscle groups. Extra strength Tylenol helps and next time I may only do half as many and then work up.

nylene, thanks for the thread. grammadee, so glad you are both home safely and that things went ok. scrapincin, Good for you for making sure you get there, even if you have to take it easier. I hope all of this hard work pays off. We are home after a very long drive. Luckily I had dd pick out a book for Audible. It took us all the way through Wisconsin and the U.P. I had to switch out the rental car with my minivan at the airport and we got home about 1:30 in the morning. Don had already been home and picked up the dogs. So we were greeted with lots of jumping and licking. I let the chickens out this morning to find them so much bigger in 2 weeks. The 2 turkeys are now bigger than the chickens. And the little bantam rooster has gotten even worse with his Napoleon complex. He kept attacking my boots. Don's been great today. He made breakfast and will be making dinner as well. I guess I'll keep him. See ya later.

Glad you got home safe and that dh is taking some of the load off of you today LisaDV. Sounds like even the dogs and chickens were happy to see you. Maybe Ed just missed you! Hoping you are all having a good long weekend! Dh had a good sleep last night and is slowly starting to get his energy back. Even went out and cut grass with the lawn tractor today. But he is also taking lots of breaks. I had started cleaning my jar room a couple of weeks ago and then got interrupted. I ended up spending most of the day down there today trying to create order out of chaos. I now have an open space for a shelf I want to move out of that room. I still need to punt a bunch of crap dh moved down there for the convenience of the plumbers who were here a month ago. Hoping to finish up tomorrow. I have an ulterior motive: I usually use my sprays and paints on the freezer down there, and I need to get this stuff organized and off the freezer so I have room to play.

Wishing all the best with all those chores, ladies.....and welcome home lisadv and family. Dh did help me scan and fix all my old big bend (1973) pics and it was a 2 day chore, but we finished and got them ordered , most 5x7, so I am looking forward to "rescrapping" them. In the meantime I have a few gc pics to mess with. I did a new centerpiece for dining table and it's time to do my "scrapbook table " maybe with a fall theme. The tray has copies of old pics from my grandparents families that I inherited. My dd decopaged it for me. The buttons were my mom's. The scarf was also made by some unknown ancestor by way of mom. When I get the beach pics off the scrapbook table, I will have some more pics to scrap for 7 of the gc. I like the challenge of doing something new without spending any money or very little. Have no ideas yet. And no fall trip planned...we usually do a week somewhere not too far away every fall and we had talked about the Texas coast...but that won't be happening now!

@elaynef, you have such a talent for home décor! I love that arrangement on your table, and look forward to seeing your new scrapbook display.
In our old house just before the family reunion, besides my Dad's baptismal cup, I found a doily my mother embroidered and I have brought it home and washed it, but that is as far as it got. Our decorating style can best be described as "cluttered", so even if I did put the doily out, it would soon be buried under other stuff. Haven't done anything with the tarnished silver cup yet. I think in the end these pieces will both go into the china cabinet together.

Happy September to everyone! This is one of my favorite times of the year! I love the colors , the temperatures, the leaves, the smells of apples and cinnamon! Believe it or not I was in my scrap room last night working on my layout that has been sitting back there for more then a week. I am having trouble giving it a title but may have figured that out this morning searching for information. I am watching a baseball game then will be going in to work on it and hopefully finish it. I do not have that muscle pain anymore either. I even made zuchinni muffins this morning. elayne I have to agree with grammadee you do have a knack for decorating which is a struggle for me. i hope all of you are enjoying your holiday weekend and I will be back later!

scrapincin, I haven't had a chance to get on my computer for a few days and missed that you were having chest pains. I'm glad it was muscle strain, not heart related. Let's keep you healthy. How is the oxygen doing? Are you getting used to it somewhat. I noticed I have an email from you but haven't read it yet. I'll do that when I finish here. Glad you are feeling better. Congrats on getting some scrapping done. Can't wait to see what you have done. grammadee, I hope your DH takes it easy. I have a suspicion that neither of you do much relaxing but are always busy, busy, busy. Glad your trip went well. LisaDV, I am glad your DH has been helpful since your return. That was a LONG trip and I'm sure you were both exhausted. How is DD feeling now after being a guinea pig at the Mayo? Em came home just totally exhausted. It was probably the best sleep she had had for a long time. Hope things go well for the rest of the tests in October. @elaynef, I love your table arrangement and the arrangements behind your table. I remember when I always changed out decorations and table centerpieces for the seasons. Then came grandchildren, and grandchildren and grandchildren and I put those things away and haven't thought about them since. Thank you for the reminder. I am going to go downstairs and get my Fall pieces and do an arrangement. You have inspired me!! justjac, your scrap-a-thon with grammadee sounds like such fun. I can't believe how much you two can get done together! kellyr21, are you getting the heat wave that northern CA is getting? Anj called last night to say it was 113 degrees when she picked the children up from school on Friday and the thermometer near the blacktop read 125 degrees. She said it is just sweltering and the school is still insisting on outdoor PE in the mornings. They aren't used to that kind of heat for so long. maribeth, I hope your absence means you have been busy and maybe doing some RVing. Drop in when you get a moment and let us know how you are doing. Waving to msliz and others we haven't seen yet this month. How can it be September already! I hope all you USA Peas are enjoying Labor Day off today!

@elaynef, I love your tray and whole heritage centerpiece. How wonderful to have those photos displayed! scrapincin, I'm so glad that you made some time for crafting, and that you had the energy to make muffins as I will take it as a sign that you are feeling better. I hope that feeling continues and just gets stronger. nylene, are you back at school? Have the vacationing leads for the substance abuse meetings returned so that you just have your own meeting or do you still have more than that? Don was tired too, but he made the long drive from MN the weekend previously so he could work and had a whole day without us to veg out while I drove back. But the 2 weeks did take it's toll. We had plans to get some thing completed this weekend, and not over the top plans either, and very few of the plans came to fruition. kellyr21, were you able to continue your art classes? or will it not work out time wise? What about guitar? I love how you are always continuing to learn new things!! grammadee, I wish that your cleaning could impact my house too. I need to go to the basement and organize the canned goods and the canning jars too. I only have one shelf of canning jars until this year. I have bought several other boxes of jars and then Don came home 2.5 weeks ago with a garage sale find of the equivalent of 6 boxes of jars for like $3. I haven't even cleaned them yet. They're still outside. I'm plugging very slowly away at my to do list. Today, I had some computer work to do and ended up with 2 digital layouts completed as well. So obviously, I should have been doing something a bit more "housely" productive, but it'll be there all week and I needed the play. I'm so missing my papers though. But school starts this week. DS starts his online high school this week and that will take some time to set up. They don't have his classes on the system they use for "doing" the work yet. Of course, they were closed today, and we had planned to do it last Wednesday and Thursday, but ended up being gone. I'll start DD with a couple of subjects tomorrow, but Thursday will be her first full day. I think she still needs a slower ramping up. OK, I need a slower ramping up, especially since I'll need to spend the next 2 days really concentrating on the housework. Stinky housework! These are the 2 layouts I finished. Another Christmas 2009 layout. d2009C7_Wakey,-Wakey by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr and Another Double Rainbow Layout. We get so many of them here. dDoubleRainbowDay2 by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr

Love your pages, LisaDV ! That's a great way to really feel like you are home! Cleaning that jar room was long overdue. it is the first door right after entering the basement directly from the garage, so it collects a lot of stuff just dropped off there. And when I put recycling and/or empty jars down there, I don't worry about putting them away. I am just happy to have them out of the rest of the house. I always think when I have finished a deep clean like this that I will now keep it that way, but I know that is not going to happen! Glad you are feeling better, scrapincin . I baked some muffins today, too, using up some zucchini from the garden. I still have some grated and ready to do something else with. Dd loves zucchini chocolate cake, and since she has moved across the country, I am thinking I will bake her a glutin free one in a jar, and then mail it to her. I know someone who does this for her sons in the armed forces, and she has sent me instructions. Are you missing your dd now that she is back in college, msliz? I spoke to my oldest dgs today who is starting university tomorrow for the first time. He is pretty excited, but you always worry that things may not work out the way that he thinks they will. Other than grating and baking, today was a pretty quiet day. I did play a bit, trying different ways to represent a spider web on a page. Have a couple of options, now, so hopefully I will have at least a couple of pages to show for it tomorrow. Hope everyone had a good long weekend, and will have a great week ahead!

And here are my two pages, started yesterday and finished today. I had fun with the spider theme, using my Cricut, some paints and mists, and even figured out how to stamp with an onion bag! One of my dgs's is obsessed with Spider-Man. He wears Tshirts with the logo often. His other gramma bought him a full costume which he wears all the time unless he can be convinced to leave it at home. He constantly wears one Spider-Man glove, even to preschool. When he saw the face painter at the fair, of COURSE he had to have a Spider-Man face! I added the date and the name of the fair to the photo after I took the faced painting page pic. Happy Monday and happy September! Boy it got busy for me but a good busy. My dh was on vacation so we went out of town for a few days here in So California about an hours drive south of us. We had a restful time in the hillside community. Even though it was a city there were so many trees and hills. Near the hotel, they had HL, M's and J's all in the same shopping area!!! So I was sold! LOL! They were nice big and spacious. I never made it to J's. After two big craft stores I had seen enough. LOL! Yesterday, we went to this large outdoor mall in the same area. I hadn't been there in many years so I wanted to check it out. After an hour or so being there I realized, this is a teeny bopper and young family hang out. LOL! So many strollers with multiple tots and babies. Next time, I need to go to the mall for the 40 plus crowd. We have had some very hot and humid weather last week up until yesterday when it got misty and cooler. But today the heat returned. Not sure if we are getting any moisture from Texas. So hopefully all our weather across the country and world will settle down. These hurricanes have been terrible. Today, I ordered my Christmas card pp from Scrapbook dot com. I got the Simple Stories "Very Merry" pp kit. I really wanted the Echo Park new pp kit but it is still on pre order. Didn't want to wait too long. I have an order already for cards and want to have my supplies soon. LisaDV- Oh, I am so happy you and your family are all back at home and safe. Also, your dd is a trooper and so glad she got through all those tests. My prayers are still with you. Take care of yourself mommy. Yes, I did get to start my art classes new session last Friday so I have 4 or 5 more classes today. I am enjoying it. My guitar lessons... I just lost the mojo for it plus the expense of the lessons. I rather use that money for things I needed like clothes. I haven't shopped in a long while and enjoyed using some of the money for that. A girls has got to have cute clothes! LOL! nylene- Wow, your dd's area was even hotter than ours. We were up to 104 or so and it was muggy. I hope can get back to our regular dry hot soon. LOL! scrapincin- What great games over the weekend. I hope you are enjoying them and cheering your team along. So glad to see you back at scrappin again. You are getting your mojo back. Your pages look great! grammadee- How did your baking turn out? As soon as it cools down out here I want to get back to baking too. Waving hi to you all and I got lots of your work to check out in the gallery. Plus, I have several pictures myself to upload. Take care all!

grammadee, first I need to know what an onion bag is and then I need to know how to stamp with it. I love your Spiderman pages. You know these pages will be his favorites FOREVER! Totally adorable. I think it's interesting that 3 of us all baked on the same day and it was a hot day. I try not to bake on really hot days, but needed to try out a new cake recipe that I want to take to a family reunion this weekend. LisaDV, have you caught your breath yet. I can't believe you got 2 pages done along with everything else. You are a busy lady. I will run leave some love in the gallery. I was supposed to go to school today, but they called to say the program and kids are not quite ready yet. So probably next week. scrapincin, I love, love, love your double pager. I would love to have gone on the Guitar Crawl with you. I love cities who do artwork like that. We visited Park City when they had statues of Moose all around town and all decorated by local artists. We have seen a couple of other too. The guitars would have been fun. I'm glad you are feeling better and that the exercise is helping some. I hope you are adjusting to being tethered. It's worth it if it helps. kellyr21, I am surprised that Angie's temp was higher than yours. It is an anomaly for them to get that much heat in the San Fran. area. Glad you are back working at art classes again. I'm looking forward to another video of all your fun projects. I had to laugh at your comment about the "teeny bopper" mall. That's how I feel every time I go shopping. I need stores for older ladies! I woke up yesterday with the tip of my ring finger purple and black. It was black to the first knuckle. It looked to me like it had been smashed in a car door or something, but I couldn't think of any injury. I remember waking up in the night thinking that it was hard to bend but I went back to sleep. Today the purple-black has gone down to the next knuckle and it's really black around the nail. So I went to see the doctor and he thinks it's a spider bite. He gave me an antibiotic and told me to watch it and call at the end of the week if it's not looking better. How strange! I hope to get some pages posted today. I have completed several that I haven't posted. Have a great week! It's always fun to come here to learn what everyone is doing.

These are the graduation pages. Connor has started college and loves school. He graduated with High Honors but didn't know he was supposed to pick up his gold collar and tassels. He didn't know he graduated with honors until he read it in the program. Things like that just kind of slip by him but he loves to learn. nylene, here onions are often sold in loosely woven fibre bags, or in expandable plastic mesh ones. I had wanted one of the fibre ones, but ended up with a plastic mesh one. I seldom buy onions cuz we grow our own, but a sweet clerk at the grocery store gave me a bag from some spoiling onions they had removed from the shelf. I cut a piece of the cardboard backing to a pp pad to a 6x6" size. I cut a piece of office transparency to the same size and glued it to the front of the cardboard. Then I stretched the onion bag over ithe plastic, pulled it tight, and taped the loose parts onto the back of the cardboard. That was my stamp. I spread some black Dylusions paint on some wax paper, and smooshed it around to about 6x6", then dipped my "stamp" lightly into it. I used my WRMK stamp positioner as a stamp block. That way I could rotate the 12x12" cs to get all 4 corners, and even re stamp if I needed to. But I guess any large solid surface would have worked.

nylene- I guess this heat is bring out these bugs. Glad you are alright. Two weeks ago I got several huge mosquito bites! I haven't got these in ages and never even saw the little bugger! I was so miserable especially since they were on the back of my thigh and leg. So sitting wasn't comfortable. Ice packs and even my cold water bottle became my best friends. LOL! grammadee- Are all your veggies in the garden just about done now?

Thanks for the info, grammadee . I love the look it added to the corners of your layout. So "webby". My scanner doesn't like layouts and I don't do well photographing layouts, so the top of this layout looks white. It has 2 rows of printed paper with designs the same color as the background paper. Topher went to the marble game every time he walked in the house. It's a noisy toy, but of course noise doesn't bother grandparents. LOL The Story by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

Love seeing your pages, nylene and scrapincin. Left some comments in the Gallery. How is your finger, nylene? Spiders biting me at night would be terrifying: not sure I could sleep in that room for quite a while! How are you adjusting to the therapy sessions this week, scrapincin? Dh is slowly recovering. His colour is better, but he is still pretty tired. Last night a bold broke in his recliner, so now he has to replace that before he can settle in for his usual afternoon nap in front of the TV. Thanks for asking about the garden, kellyr21. This summer started late and wet and cool, so this is definitely not our best ever crop. Almost everything is off the garden except for fall veggies and most of them are root vegetables, so we have time to harvest them. The corn on the cob is late. We had some yesterday, but it still needs at least a couple of days or maybe a week to ripen. The tomatoes are slowly ripening on the vine, and we pick the ones that have turned red. Watching the forecast and the temperature, so the first time there is a threat of frost we will be picking them all green and bringing them into the basement to ripen there. The pumpkins have just begun to form on the vines--they are about 3 or 4 weeks late this year--so I have very little hope of salvaging them this year, but I have frozen pumpkin I can use for pies and loaves come Thanksgiving. Today I am organizing my scrapbooking supplies. I pulled a bunch of papers and embellishments that I have not used and am not likely to use (kids' interests have changed, colours are no longer useful for what I am scrapping, they were parts of kits not chosen by me and are not quite a "fit" with what I do). I am packing them all in a box to give to my niece's dd who is a grade two teacher. Meanwhile, I decided that all my Family supplies need to go into a tub that will be going to a crop in October when I hope to complete the Family Reunion album. After using a bunch of those supplies, they should all fit into the Iris case I have labeled "Family & Home". That opened up some space in one of my big drawers, so now I can put away some new collections that need a home. Of course the process is taking way longer than I had anticipated, and has generated a huge mess in here, but hopefully one more day of this will restore some order and give me some surface space to scrap again. I now have a deadline for completing my summer album: we plan to go to Calgary at the end of this month, and I want to take the spring and summer albums with me. Anyway, wishing you all a terrific Thursday!

grammadee , I hate spiders more than anything and we have our home and yard sprayed 4 times a year because we tend to get Black Widows and Brown Recluses around here. I haven't seen more than a few garden spiders in years but at the last spray they said gov't regs had changed and they would only do the inside of the house if we are seeing a problem. I made a call and they came and did the interior. The purple/black has now crept up to my wedding ring, but the tip is getting much lighter and it's less sore. I think the antibiotic really has helped. We treated a woman in our office who had a Brown Recluse bite years ago. It was terrible. She had to have surgery on her hand and has had trouble with it for years. She waited a couple of weeks before she came in and the whole hand was swollen and purple. Yikes. That's when we started a spray plan at our home. Here's a fun photo of Megan and her Dad boogie-ing! Awesome Moves by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

Hi everyone, Although I haven't been back to this thread, I have kept up in the gallery this week. I can leave comments there on my phone. I don't really like to leave comments in the forum unless they're short on my phone. . I always think when I have finished a deep clean like this that I will now keep it that way, but I know that is not going to happen! This is so me! I say the same thing when I just do a general weekly cleaning. I'm not going to let them or me lay things on the dining table. Like right now we can't eat on the dining table again, and I just had it cleaned this week. Love those spiderman pages and your dgs is adorable! scrapincin , wonderful double pager. I love when towns do art like that. The first time I saw it was in Chicago with cows many, many years ago. Since then we've seen it in a few other towns with other symbols. It always makes me smile. kellyr21 , I'm so glad you made your art class. You can use the skill to make your crafts to sell and then you can use it as a tax deduction too. I'm sorry you aren't working on your guitar right now, but I totally understand budgeting. Sounds like you had a nice holiday even if you had to be at the teeny-bopper mall. lol. nylene , yikes. Is your finger any better? I would be freaking wondering where I got the bite at. Were you cleaning any dark hard to reach places you couldn't see into? Or yard work? I found a black widow in a boot on the front porch this spring. I threw the boot away! I'm glad you didn't waste time with going to the doctor. Also, I'm loving all of your layouts. Waving hi to msliz , maribeth , and @elaynef . I finally made it to the larger town to do grocery shopping. All week the kids were like "can we have x with y and z. I'd be like you can have y but I don't have x or z or some variation thereof. While I was in MN, Don told me that we actually had frost one morning. So this weekend we're working outside - the garden harvesting, checking the bees, finish putting up the storage canopy (just the tent portion needs to go on), etc. I'm still working my way through the household chores, but I'm taking my sweet time doing them. Logan's needed me to install programs and show him how to use them for his classes this week. And being my son, every time he does anything, he's asking me to look it over to see if it's OK, even if it's just a quick contact email. I'm still working through my to do list slowly and doing digital scrapping when I can. I just uploaded 5 layouts (1 is a double). But I'll share this one here, it is actually from the beginning of August and was part of a scraplift challenge at the Digital Press site. We had 3 teams and the first person from each team started with the same layout to scraplift. Each team member gets a copy of the current person's lift only until all layouts are completed and then revealed. It was really fun to see the reveal and how each person interpreted it. I was the starting person on my team. dAnimalKing by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr

Awesome wedding page, nylene! Love your page and all its siblings in the Gallery, LisaDV. Can't believe how you can get so much scrapping done along with everything else you do! I am having a creative day today after a week of organization and cleaning. Finished my corner of the basement awhile ago. Started on my scrap supplies, and now have a box full for my niece for her grade two students. Then our fridge started acting wonky, so I needed to empty it completely to discover the problem. It was a water line leaking inside the fridge. We shut the water off, and so far no more issues. It hasn't made ice for awhile, so the only problem now is you can't just get drinking water from the fridge. My scraproom clean up is not finished, but I decided to just play today. I finished a couple of pages I had started on Friday. Had to let the paint dry before I could do anything with them. The second one is for the September Stash Challenge: face paint fun 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr face paint fun by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Ended up using mostly older supplies I found in my reorganization on these pages: backyard playground 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr backyard playground by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And I finished a couple of very simple photo heavy pages as well. Hope all the Pokeys are having a wonderful restful or fun or creative Sunday, whichever you prefer!

I'm so behind! I will head over to leave some layouts be shortly. I survived the first week of school. I was pretty exhausted. On the long weekend we had a family wedding on DH's side. They asked us not to take pictures during the ceremony which was disappointing because I was sitting right beside the table where they signed the register. My BIL took a lot of photos so I'm going to get his. This weekend, I'm trying to catch up on household chores. Yesterday we trimmed one of our spruce trees and cut out a bunch of old lilacs. I hope to spend a little time today cleaning my scrap room. Have a wonderful Sunday.

I hope you are well rested after the weekend, justjac, and ready to take on another week in the classroom. And I hope you can get the wedding photos you need to scrapbook the wedding. I had scrapbooking on the brain this morning: even DREAMED about it last night LOL. Dh was gone to town for coffee, so I put together two quick pages. It was one of those mornings where things I needed just popped into my head and then leaped to my finger tips as I flipped through my stash. Those days don't happen often, but when they do it feels awesome! I used the two page sketch from the September Sketch Challenge, and pretty much followed it to a T, so that made LO creation pretty simple as well. never grow up by Gramma Dee, on Flickr never grow up 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I ordered these Discovery Toys Sky Spinners last fall when I was ordering Christmas gifts, and this summer was the first time the dgk's had a chance to try them out. They were a hit with all ages. These are pages about our oldest ds's little guys playing with them, but I have photos of two other families of cousins enjoying them as well. Am working on a second double pager featuring Jacob & Ryley and the spinners. And I think while I have the space themed papers out, I might just finish up with a spread about Mikey and these toys as well. Of course the adult guys in the family were excited about the new toys too. Here I have featured Grampa "helping" the boys. On the page I am working on now, our ds is caught in photos playing happily with them as well. And it is handy to have an adult around if the sneaky things wind up on a roof or in a tree.

I am sorry to be missing.Things here have been busy and my computer has issues! Doug was here a couple of hours last night and thought it was fixed, but it locked up again later and this morning. I think it may have something to do with my Indexing program. They have switched over to a Web Indexing system and it seems to really slow my computer when I'm on it. I have been digitizing 1800's ship passengers, 1920's school children and WW2 selective service certificates. It is really fun and I learn so much, but I can't have it messing with my computer!! I sent a message about my problem and hope it's something easily fixed.
We had a great family reunion and good visit with all my siblings and in-laws. We had a storm come in and we were all wind blown, but had a good time anyway. I started back to school this week, but need to make a decision about whether to help this year. What they want me to do is not what I have enjoyed so much and they can only use me for 1 hour and 50 minutes each day. I don't know that I feel good about giving up three mornings a week for less than 2 hours of volunteering. I have until the end of next week to decide for certain.
We are heading to Idaho for a Class Reunion this weekend, so I'm looking forward to just relaxing there for a couple of days.
I will be back to enjoy all your beautiful pages later. Have a great week!

I hope you get your computer issues cleared up, nylene. Doesn't sound like you have had much screen time anyway, what with the family reunion and starting back to school. And another reunion this next weekend? Glad you are having some time to relax and reminisce and chat with family and friends. You have had a busy summer. Good luck with your decision about the volunteer work at school. I know it would be hard to walk away, but if you don't feel that the "job" they are offering you is fulfilling for you and advantageous for the students, then it could sap your energy all winter. This morning I finished a page I started yesterday. Since it is for a "blind scraplift", I decided not to upload it until the end of the month. I earned my spot as a Pokey for that one. Took forever to figure out how to build 3 clusters! Took me very little time to create its mate, though, using scraps from the first one and lots of photos. Fall is in the air here. Forecast is threatening frost in the next couple of days. Today we picked all the green tomatoes. They are still in the buckets, but tomorrow I will wipe them and layer them into trays. They will ripen just fine in the dark in the basement (on one of my freshly cleaned off shelves). Then it will be lasagne season. Yesterday we picked off all the corn cobs that were ripe and close to it. Right now I have corn chowder in the oven and a loaf baking in the bread maker. So the whole house smells delicious. Yes, fall is definitely in the air!
