@elaynef, those binoculars are adorable! Funny how you do something once and get stuck in the role for years. scrapincin, we don't judge. Plus I've been collecting digital kits since 2008, so I have more than I should admit to as well. Super Indians page!

Sorry hit post instead of enter on the phone. grammadee, i love those boots on your card. And your layouts. nylene, we love the fresh eggs. I was thinking of making the twist pop card for a nieces' bday next month. They are so cute. We're in a heat wave. It's been high 80's and low 90's, but we don't have ac. DD was starting to feel bad again. I thought it might be the heat, so Friday we went tubing. Yesterday we went to the movies and library. But the travel was going to get to her, so we bought a portable ac unit, which they had only one option left and it was already put away for winter. They were great about getting it for us. It's 72 in the living room and dd is doing fine. Maybe all she has needed is air - 😂. Luckily it's also starting to cool off at night - got down to low 60s. Suppose to turn Wednesday to be in the 60s for the high, then I'll get back to the garden. Tomorrow I take Logan to get his top braces put on. Plus I have to take DH's laser printer in, as a washi piece that was holding a journaling card to the copy paper came off a few months ago and prints in 3 different places on every print. I also have to take my computer in. It's been acting wonky for a couple of weeks. Sometimes it'll start up and sometimes it won't. Today I should do something productive but instead i'm going to make lunch and then scrapbook.

Good Monday morning, Pokeys! LisaDV , I would gladly send some of our super cool weather your way! We need to dig potatoes this week, but not sure when it will be warm and dry enough. Love your page, scrapincin . Your digi skills are amazing. Did you decide about going back to work, nylene ? I know you decided to turn them down on the new project they had going, but did you find a different school to volunteer? Or did the original school decide to change their program back to what was working last year? Yesterday was a lazy day for me, but I did manage to put together a couple of pages with photos I found while I was putting away some of my mess from this month. I will share them below. Today, I plan to do some baking. I have some grated carrots, and there are a couple of zucchini needing some attention. Before starting that, I was on this board, reading about the Christmas card exchange, and decided to pull out the cards and partial cards I already have on hand to see if joining the exchange would be doable. And after the count, I have decided that it is. Any other Pokies considering signing up for the Peas Christmas card exchange? I would LOVE to exchange cards with all of you. I know you celebrate Hanakah msliz , but if you wanted to join us I am thinking Happy Holidays would be an appropriate greeting? If we all sign up for the big exchange, we can pick out the Pokeys and be sure to send to each other if we can't sent to the whole list. If you would like to limit the number of cards you send, we could set up our own group and do that separately from the big one. What do you think? Anyway, here are my pages. I am off to the kitchen! farmer Jo-Ja by Gramma Dee, on Flickr farmer Jo-Ja2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

grammadee, great pages. All great photos, but i Love the photos on the bottom layout. We should have a break in the heat by Wednesday. I hope that means you'll start to dry out so you can get your potatoes dug. I started another layout yesterday and I just have the title to put on. It's been so long for traditional layouts which means also a long time between cameo uses. I wanted to do 2 cursive title pieces. I did them but completely forgot to weld them. 🙄 I'm still going to use them as is, just not had time yet. I'm currently in the orthodontist waiting room wishing Drs valued our time as much as they want us to value theirs. I'm also working my way through the gallery today. I think I'll ho continue (i stopped at Dee's cute boot card).

Good morning, Pokeys! Still working with the garden, but it has started to slow down. We got the potatoes out of the ground and into the garage yesterday. Yay! Today I plan to bake a couple of chocolate cakes with the last of the zucchini. The tomatoes are ripening in the basement, but I managed to use the ripest on the weekend for the lasagne. The ones that have reddened since along with some with some pink tones I have packed into a couple of small boxes to take to our two ds's families near Calgary tomorrow. They will also get some potatoes, some pickles and jam, and some honey from the bee keepers who place their hives on our property. Can't wait to see your LO, LisaDV. Is this for the bonus challenge? I have had mine done for awhile, but I posted it this morning. Have loved your comments in the Gallery, scrapincin and nylene. Hope that you are both doing okay, just too busy with other things these days to drop in to chat. How was your visit from your dd, msliz? How did you celebrate Yom Kapur? My long deceased fil used to blame "that Jewish holiday" for cool wet weather when he was trying to harvest in the fall, and last week I could hear him muttering about it in my head as we had several dark gloomy cool wet days. When my dh was looking at the calendar and was blaming the moon for the weather, I was able to tell him that it was, indeed, "that Jewish holiday." I got a little distracted over the past few days with making 20+ Christmas cards for the exchange, but I cleared all that off my counters last night. This morning, I made a card to go with our house warming gift for our oldest ds who has moved with his family onto an acreage this August. Happy home sweet home by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Yes, my layout is for the bonus. Just finished one for the sketch challenge too. Cute card, Dee. Your ds' will love the garden fresh goodies. On pinterest the other day this was on my feed. I had to printscreen it to share here. Yes, that's our wonderful nylene's layout in the feed for scrapbook.com. It brought a total smile to my face. I'm hoping to pick tomatoes today. DD has been sick the last couple of days. Yesterday she didn't even do school and whined when I had to leave for a meeting in town. She's complaining of a sore throat today. DS lived on popsicles and pain relievers yesterday due to the braces on Monday. He's still uncomfortable but I can tell it's better. He hasn't had either yet today, just scrambled eggs and pudding so far. I guess I should go do something. I was out of the house both Monday and Tuesday afternoons, and those little work brownies/fairies never come do my chores when I'm away. I'm beginning to think they're make believe. 🤣

Hello, sweet friends. I don't know why I don't seem to be able to get into my scraproom and on the computer. I did hurry and finish my cards for Card Club and made a couple of b-day cards for friends and Alex. My black finger is all back to normal, but I had them run a urine sample because I had just a few symptoms. It showed an infection but it wasn't totally diagnosed until a few days later when they got the culture. It's a kidney infection. I went to Idaho not feeling great and come home still feeling really tired. I went in again and it hadn't cleared, so I am on my 3rd antibiotic. My biggest symptom is just the need to sleep all the time. I went to bed at 5 Sunday afternoon and woke up at 8 am on Monday. I am improving, but I'm glad I don't have to go to school. They have decided to close our little school where I was teaching and bus the children across town. It makes me sad. They are also tearing down the Elem school where my children went. I don't think I will try to teach this year with all the big changes. The faculty is very unhappy with the way it was done. scrapincin, your layout is just fabulous. I can't believe you extracted all those players in the corner. I don't know how you do it, but I'm sure it is pains-takingly difficult. Congrats to your team and congrats on such a great layout. You have great digi skills! LisaDV, thank you for posting that Pinterest image of my Megan page. That's fun to know! I hope the cooler weather helps your DD feel better. Best wishes to your DS on his braces. Alyssa had to have hers put back on because of a weird tooth that began to move. She's not a happy camper. The trials of youth! grammadee, I know that I can't do the big 2Peas Christmas exchange, but I'd love send cards to all our Pokeys. I think it would be fun to have our own exchange for those that want to. I'm loving all your pages of your cute little boys. Great photos. @elaynef,those binoculars are so cute. You know that you will be doing the crafty things forever. That's how I got myself involved with Cub Scouts and stayed for over 35 years! When will you take your Fall trip? kellyr21, how are the Christmas cards going? I'm anxious to see what you are creating. Waving to all of you. I'm going to take a little nap before our meeting tonight. I'll be back before weekend. You know that it's almost OCTOBER!!

Good to hear from you, nylene. I hope that you begin to feel better soon! And that you get the rest you need now. You have a very busy month. Maybe staying at home and getting to sleep in will help you regain your energy. If you want to exchange cards with the Pokeys, I can set up a group PM. Then each of us can add out addresses there. If some of us are in the big exchange, that is okay, b/c people signed up there can send just one card to a person who appears in both places. And this way we can send to some of the people who are NOT signed up. Will do that when I get back on Tuesday. Guess I will be driving down to see the kids by myself this weekend. Dh wanted to stay home, and I have learned that if I talk him into something, maybe he will go, but neither he nor I will enjoy it. I have everything by the door ready to haul it out to the vehicle. I just need to get myself ready and dh has to put a couple of big things in before the smaller stuff can go in. Sounds like a busy weekend ahead with swimming and hockey and exploring their new acreage, complete with horse facilities and some horses! Will be getting together with our other son & his family as well, and the plan is to have the 4 little guys together on Sunday. Have a wonderful weekend, Pokeys!

Hi everyone! its the middle of the afternoon and we are 20 degrees lower then yesterday. We had a 6 day heat wAVE with our temperature has been both sides of 90. I would like to say thank you all for commenting on my Indians page. grammadee Hope you have a safe trip and a lot of fun! I have to chuckle as the two highlights of your trip will be hockey and swimming which does sound odd . Sorry your DH doesn't want to go but mine is the same way sometimes. nylene- You surely have been missed! I am so sorry you have been ill! I had a feeling that made you were ill or taking care of Steve. Sure hope the antibiotic takes care of it. Surely should since the cultured it it will tell them works best. Thanks for you kind words on my Indians page. I will be thinking of you and praying for your body to heal itself. LisaDV Hope your DD feels better soon. This is when the weather gets nice enough where you can go outside and do something fun. Are you an apple picker? Cuz I know they will be ready soon. Waving to MSLIZ, Maribeth, Kelly, Just jac, Elayne and anyone else who joins us playing this game!!!!

Hi Pokeys. I've been lurking a lot this month. I've been reading your news even if I haven't been responding. I had an eight day stretch where I had something on every single day besides work. Last Thursday, we had a bit of an adventure. We went to an event at the local college where there were ten speakers. They each chose 20 images and had 20 seconds to talk about each image. The theme was light and the presentations were amazing. Unfortunately, on the way home, a young driver didn't see us coming and tried to cross in front of us. We pretty much t-boned her. We are all fine, but sadly DH's brand new truck was very damaged. I also have a purple and yellow bruise from the seat belt. That is the first accident I've been in where the air bags deployed. Insurance is covering everything, so that is also good news. I made a few cards this weekend. For My Brother by Jacqueline Bruce, on Flickr Ella by Jacqueline Bruce, on Flickr One in a Million by Jacqueline Bruce, on Flickr I also made a sample page for one of the prompts for the members only LOAD in October, but I can't share that until the 26th. We had family photos taken on Sunday with my inlaws. We had them taken outdoors at a local park and I am very excited to get them back because the fall leaves are gorgeous. I am wishing you all well. I will try to comment more often after this.

Oh no, justjac! Glad there were only bruises. You two are not having good vehicle luck! Arrived in calgary safe and sound, and my vehicle has been unloaded.Drive was blessedly uneventful. Just winding down, getting ready for a busy day tomorrow. scrapincin, my dgd is in competative swimming, so her practices and meets are at aquatic centres, so not outside. And her brother plays in a very competative hockey league that begins tryouts in August, Again all indoor arenas. so the seasons definitely overlap.

Happy Friday ladies! I have getting ready for the holidays already with my cards. I am making a few mini album cards and then I will start on some regular cards. I have the Simple Stories "Very Merry" kit and also ordered the Echo Park kit that should be coming next week. So I've been a busy bee. I have so much to catch up on here and oh boy you ladies have been crafting away. I am still taking the art class and going tonight. I have so much to share so hopefully I can get up to date next week. scrapincin- Yes, congrats on your baseball teams success. I heard about it and love the lo you dedicated to it. Awesome! Now your Cavs just got D Wade so I hope they can have a great year too. nylene- OMG! I am so happy you and your dh were safe. How scary! Glad you decided to wait for the right assignment and with the school going through changes, looks like you did make the best decision for you. Sending you hugs and I hope you are feeling better. LisaDV- Has it cooled off there yet? We are still having higher temps but it doesn't seem as hot as before. Yippee!! grammadee- I would like to be apart of the Christmas card exchange just with you Pokey Pea ladies. Count me in! justjac- The airbag deployed?? Oh my! So glad you were ok minus the bruises. I've been in a couple of car crashes in the past and oh was I sore and happy that was all that happened. Take care! @elaynef- Cute projects! Are you and your dh still planning your trip. The names "Seminole Canyon State Park" sounds like such grand nature and relaxing. Hope you can go.

nylene, I'm so sorry your school is closing. I thought they usually figured these things out before the start of the school year. I'm sorry you are fighting an infection. I hope you get the rest your body needs. grammadee, have a great weekend! Is your DH feeling ok? or is he just a home-body? I hope it's the second and not the first. I understand being a homebody. I could stay home and alone for a month before needing interaction. I think a PM group would be good for the pokies addresses. scrapincin, we usually are apple pickers, but our late frost got all of our apples this year. There are only like 6 on all of the trees. Our grapes, however, are the best I've ever seen them. Big and beautiful. We're giving all the credit to the bees. ha. But I have so much grape jelly left from the last few years that I don't need any more. I think we might try to do grape juice, if there is time. Otherwise, they go to the chickens and the deer. justjac, oh so scary. I'm sorry you have a bruise, but I'm so glad everyone is okay. It stinks about the truck being damaged. I'm sure they will have it fixed right up. Your cards are beautiful. kellyr21, you have been busy. I can't wait to see all of your cards and your artwork. It has cooled off here. There is frost on the ground this morning and I had to turn on the heat last night. Last Friday, we were tubing to get out of the heat. This Friday, we were in pants and jackets to go outside. Crazy! I picked my computer back up yesterday. Hurray! It's running like a dream. They said it was really dirty. But I know I had asked geek squad to clean it out the last time I had it in there. The geek squad in Indiana and in Ohio were always so good. The ones here in Michigan I've been less pleased with. I don't know if it's a change in the whole or just this area. But I think I found a computer person! They initialized my second drive and moved everything over. Now I'm reloading all of my programs. I did the important ones yesterday - (Office, because I can't do anything without excel - I have a workbook with photos/stories listed and a spot to list them where they get counted), Photoshop Elements (I HAD to finish that digital page), my photo printer, and Logan's online school email system. Obviously, scrapbook related items were first, well except for silhouette, which is next. lol. Today, we leave for Grand Rapids and Art Prize. But I still have a list of things to get finished before we leave, including folding all of the laundry from yesterday and the day before and packing. I did get 9 quarts of tomato sauce and 3 quarts of tomato juice put up yesterday. I'd like to pick the tomatoes and bring them in before we leave, as I'm afraid of the weather hurting them. But I don't think we'll get to it. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We'll be back next Tuesday.

lisadv hope you have a great and uneventful trip to Grand Rapids. too many "events" in our group recently. nylene, hope you are feeling better! grammadee, hope you have a great and uneventful trip, too! scrapincin, thanks for all the compliments. justjac, so sorry about your "event" ..hope you are healing with no aches and pains. Scary! kellyr2, those Christmas mini albums sound interesting..would love to see/hear more about them. Did another craft project for the kids at bible study this week..."Manna Baskets". I was supposed to make them out of felt, but I could not find a tool that would punch a hole in felt easily so I used cardstock and PP and got that approved and it was soooo much easier. I think I spent 2 afternoons on those at least. The original instructions were for cardstock, but someone decided felt would be more fun. I finished my Big Bend album and working on grandchildren's albums again now....those are some of my favorite pictures... Folly Beach where we spent 3 days for our anniversary with them. I posted 2 pages I made today on another thread, but I'll show y'all, in case you missed it. the left side is one of my favorite sketches...I've been using it a lot lately, and I'm still using the August sketch, too with the big 4x10 print ...did another one of those last night.

@elaynef, I love, love, love your pages. Those really speak to me. I want to scraplift them. So clean and classy. Your manna baskets sound nice. You know you are the "maker" forever now. kellyr21, I love your album/cards so can't wait to see your new ones. justjac, I am so sorry about your accident. I am glad you are ok. I'm sure you found even more sore spots the next morning. Take care of yourself. LisaDV and grammadee, please be careful in your traveling! scrapincin, I appreciate your willingness to help with the new Silhouette software. I'm a lot slower on it than I was when I knew where everything was! I will be back later tonight to set up the October thread. How can it be October already?

Good evening all. Sounds like today that everyone is doing ok . I am watching ball games football and baseball. I am crazy! I plan on being in my scrap room tomorrow! nylene-I too am slower on the Silhouette. I forget how long it took me to find the sizing slot to put in what size I wanted an element. Nuts isn't it But I have not been on long enough. If you can't find something you can go to the list at the top left and find Panels or Object and find what you need faster. justjac I am so glad you do not have any real serious injuries. It's sad that it messed up the DH's new truck though. grammadee I sure hope you are having a relaxing weekend. I know you are going to swim meets and hockey but hopefully you relax in between. elayne I love your page also. You should post it in the gallery so we can leave you some love! LisaDV-hope you have a safe trip . kellyr21 so glad to se you. I know you are A BUSY BEE, i CAN'T KEEP UP WITH YOU! Going to close so I get done before Nylene comes to close this. Oh BTW I too would be interested in doing the Christmas Card swap or whatever it was called.
