Looking at the number of sub boards it looks like we have several ways of doing our own craft. So I will word this so anyone can answer.
Do you have a pet peeve that pertains to your craft?
Size is one of my problems. I would have the perfect paper except the pattern is too big/small. I would have the perfect stamp except it is too big/small. I'm sure you get the picture.

I guess one of my biggest pet peeves is cost of product. And yes, I get that scrapping is a hobby and luxury, but come on people - a package of paper flowers should not cost between six and twelve dollars. And if the companies are still making a profit when they sell a pad of paper for 50% off, why are they ever charging full price?! (I think my cheapness is showing.....backing away)

I'm right there with you on the pattern size thing, but I guess I just sigh and roll with it.
If I had to pick one thing that drives me totally nuts it would be the companies that print different stuff on the cut off strip--so that when you cut it off at the edge of the paper design, the paper isn't 12x12 anymore! Seriously, what gives? If it was just a tiny fraction it wouldn't bother me, but some of them are REALLY off. Can't they print the actual paper design I'm PAYING FOR down an extra 1/8" into the strip so when I cut off the stupid UPC or whatever at the 12" point I don't get some weird sliver of the strip left on the edge?

My cheapness is going to show too - I'm always stunned by how much certain embellishments cost... Enamel dots always seem expensive to me (thank goodness for Perler beads ) And die cut packs like OA Miscellany... I've seen them priced at $10-15, but there's maybe the equivalent of two 12x12 paper sheets in there - charge me $3 and let me cut them apart! I bought a couple of BG Waterfall packs and those are good value - you get a bit of everything so very little goes unused... I hate finding the perfect goat paperclips but having to buy a pack of 20...lol Sometimes a mix of stuff is just as expensive but so much better value... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When I go to use my pens or markers, they seem to run out of ink too quickly. Should use them more often.

Low quality products such as lousy adhesive on embellishments and crappy weight patterned paper.
Finding the exact same item much cheaper in another department or under a different brand or name.

Is it really that hard for all 3 hole page protectors to fit all albums? Really?

-Page protectors that stick out of a 12x12 album - just make them standard size -Difficulty with storage - there is no really good way to store product and know exactly what is where. I have tried sorting by theme, color, I've tried storage cubes, plastic bins, iris carts - UGH! No matter how I organize I can't find stuff. -the sheer number of albums it takes to have photos scrapbooked. I took photos out of magnetic albums and they morphed into 3 times as many albums once the photos are scrapped. Scrapbook albums have taken over my house.

...Size is one of my problems. I would have the perfect paper except the pattern is too big/small. I would have the perfect stamp except it is too big/small. I'm sure you get the picture. Size does matter! As a theme-challenged scrapper, I prefer small repetitive patterns. Unfortunately, most 12x12 papers feature larger patterns (with their smaller versions printed on 6x6 &/or 8x8 sheets which are only available as pads) - ugh! I guess one of my biggest pet peeves is cost of product...And if the companies are still making a profit when they sell a pad of paper for 50% off, why are they ever charging full price?! This was demonstrated today, when I bought 9 sheets of paper (from collections released in 2011-2014) at the not-so-LSS for $10 & a Studio Calico Classic Calico pack (released 2012 with 18 sheets of paper - 2 each of 9 patterns - & alpha stickers) for $0.99 at Tuesday Morning! A lower price point would enable LSSs to purchase more, customers to buy more, & reduce excess inventory that's eventually sold for pennies on the dollar at overstock stores!

I like the smaller pattern on the 6x6-some patterns don't work well at that size unless they are reduced.

For me, it's inferior products! Super pet peeve. I've purchased a dozen ATG refills and over half of them were sliced in the middle of the tape. Huge PIA. Pearls with the glue sticking to the plastic and not the pearl piece. etc and so forth. Whenever I heard of issues thanks to the lovely people here, I try to stay away from those products.

This is so true! The same glitter in the scrapbook in a sole is a dollar or two more than in the kids crafts aisle. But it really is the same thing! I also noticed that with plastic containers. I go straight to the jewelry making section now.

Low quality product!! I'm lucky to have a LSS so I can see and possibly feel the product before buying.

Some collections are made in 6x6 or 8x8 pads, and the patterns are shrunk along with the paper size. I like that and I do buy some of those. But my problem with it is if I want the smaller pattern to use for a 12x12 page, sometimes those smaller sheets just won't work for what I want to do. The other issue I have with it is that if I want multiple pieces of the same paper, with 12x12 I just buy multiple sheets. If I like a smaller design that's only in a pad I'm stuck buying multiple pads and that gets expensive, plus I'm stuck with all the other papers I maybe don't like so much. It would be fun if they would make the small designs in full size sheets sometimes.

Is it really that hard for all 3 hole page protectors to fit all albums? Really? To quote Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally: Yes, yes, yes, yes, YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! ----- Also... glue bottles whose openings get stuck and you have to do a major excavation to open them up again, even when you put the caps on. (If anyone knows a trick to keep them open, please let me know!)

I haven't tried it yet, but I read that putting a straight pin in the tip sometimes works. I think there may be a problem w/the pin rusting, but I don't know if it's just the aggravation of having to replace the pin or if it affects the product. If you try it, report back. I'll do the same.

My pet peeve is scrapbook products that are limited edition or retired quickly. I feel like if I don't buy it now I won't be able to find it later. Which creates a hoarding mentality...

White pens. They only work the first time out of the package.
