Mom, I’d have agreed with you, but I just noticed the Open SK is marked as sold out. It's possible they reduced the amount of kits they make, so it sold out pretty quickly. I wondered this as well- it seems they’ve been having quite a few kits left over for stories revisited and other sales so maybe they reduced it. It’s also possible they didn’t and people are responding more favorably to recent designs and the themes) I know I like the upcoming the AE for this year more than last year.

This is the response I received in my convo about the stamp quality: Hello, Thank you for writing in about the stamps in our Stories by the Month and One Little Word mini kits. We have moved our kit stamps to be manufactured along with the rest of the product in the kit, in order to streamline the process and navigate the ongoing worldwide challenges with shipping. While these kit stamps are different than our shop stamps, we find that they stamp well but need a softer touch, as stamping with too much pressure will give you a bad image. We truly appreciate you being a subscriber and member of the Ali Edwards community. Please reach out to us with any questions or if we can be of any assistance. Thank you, Leia Pfft! The image is not the issue. Agreed. The complaints I listed regarding the new stamps didn’t even mention image.

They gave me the exact same feedback and have disabled the ability to use the sad face emoji. They don't care.

Well with all of this awesome customer service and non requested product changes WITHOUT a price reduction I am now feeling no guilt in buying the stamps from Ali express, I try to support the original artist but if you’re going to sell me crap I’ll just buy it cheaper from elsewhere 🤬🙄

Wow, so disappointing about the downgrade in stamp quality. I had already talked myself out of the SBTM sub but I'm sorry that current subscribers are having to deal with a lower quality product. Maybe they'll switch back to the previous material but who knows.

I am so bummed about this stamp situation. VERY annoyed that SC disappeared all the comments that were voicing concern over the change. Soothing myself with the knowledge that Paper Person, Citrus Twist, Everyday Explorers, and Keri Bradford make very good stamps. I’ve never bought from the ink companies, but I’ll assume they’re making good ones. Sigh! I'll definitely be branching out more. I tend to forget about Citrus Twist and will be checking out those stamps when I'm looking to add to my stash.

elljay and honeypea Elles Studio also has very good quality stamps. I especially love their tab stamps. There are several different themes and a love theme tab stamp set is going to be released this month.

Heidi Swapp has mentioned repeatedly in her insta lives in past months, that her STB planner kit stamps are now acrylic so it seems off to me that Ali and SC would just not mention it if they knew it was changed from polymer to acrylic. I wonder if this was not effectively communicated to them or if it was downplayed? Is the customer service inked?
This feels like a big miss

Until those change too without them telling anyone and I pay $50+shipping aud for a product I can get for $5aud including shipping on Ali express….. shady!!!

The image is not the issue. That's a trash response. Especially considering we all know the price difference between the types of stamps. This is not our first rodeo. And I'll bet half my stash Ali knows about the change, too. Now they can charge the same price (increased because of inflation and shipping, etc) but the price on their end has been reduced significantly. Sounds about right. I'm sure unless they see a huge dip in business, they'll convert all the stamps to the cheaper format. I'm sorry for anyone stuck with the crap quality. Terrible business practices.

No, she specially said 'shop items and stamp subscription would not be changed'. Edited to add: that was SC that said that in my convo to them. NOT Ali.

My response from Ali’s CS said the change was not to shop stamps. I’m annoyed we already filled out the surveys - I didn’t realize this about the stamps when I filled mine out.

I got the exact same response from Ali's customer service as all of you. I'm so frustrated. Also why put a cheap stamp into an expensive stamp sleeve? (which is not listed in the kit content) I want a quality stamp, no sleeve!

Timely topic. I opened January SC kit and immediately had issues with the stamp. It definitely feels like the clear stamps from long ago, not photopolymer. Smells different too. Anyway, the stamp wouldn’t stick the block. I started a convo with SC. I asked them if something had changed. If the material was different. I’d this was going to be the stamp material going forward. The response I got was “Sorry you have issues with the stamp, we are sending you a replacement with your February kit.” Uh, thanks? None of my questions weee answered. That is disappointing. I want to use the stamps to make more cards (I'm 99% a pocket page scrapbooker). If I can't use the stamps any longer... the kit doesn't work for me. I hope Inked provides answers. In the mean time, what other kits do you Peas subscribe to that are good quality? I sub to Elle’s Studio, and then add on stamps during the free ship bundling period. Elle’s stamps are so, so good!

View AttachmentI have subscribed to Stop the Blur for 6 months and Heidi Swapp has been very upfront that the stamps in the Stop the Blur kit as well as her stamps sold at Michaels and Joanns are acrylic. The Stamp Society and other stamps sold in her online shop are photopolymer. Her stamp therapy class has a great lesson on which inks to use with the two types of stamps. I know this doesn’t help the frustration of prices going up and stamp quality going down with no communication by Ali and SC but at least I am now able to get a good quality image with the lower quality stamps. I just have to buy more ink Thank you for this info! I like to occasionally buy stamps from Heidi’s shop so it’s good to know they remain good quality. Can you share what type of ink works with the acrylic/cheap stamps? ETA: I see you did! Thanks- I’m on my phone and it was really small and I realized I had to click it. Great info.

Who is saying, “please auto renew my scrapbook kit subscription that used to not renew.” No one.

It was in an Instagram post. I like to give them the benefit of the doubt- like I believe the story kit and SBTM really are sold out. But this? Cmon. Who is saying, “please auto renew my scrapbook kit subscription that used to not renew.” No one. THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS. No one wants this. That's ridiculous. Like it's SO hard to go in and subscribe to a kit in Jan. after you had it for the previous year. If you can find a website, you can hit subscribe. This is basic literacy. If you can afford $35 for paper and stickers, you know how to use the freaking internet. I'm still super angry about this. I think they just want to lock people in to 4 kits at a time. In the past if you decided to sub halfway through or for the last kit, you then were only stuck with the last two or the last one. I'm sure a lot of people did that for the numbers kit because it was the best one all year. Luckily the kits never sell out so if I want one later this year, I'll pick it up or just miss out if it does sell out. I'm just not that into the themes so far. There might be one that I like but I won't be roped into something that expensive when you get so few of the perks of the monthly subscribers. Like I had to pay shipping for the Halloween kit because it came out during a month when there was no scrapbook it. Subbers got free shipping when they added it to their boxes. There were times when I wanted add-ons but couldn't get them because it wasn't a month when there was a scrapbook kit. I don't think any that I wanted sold out and I ended up getting them later but they don't have a way for you to add to your box for later. I'll stop ranting now.
