I agree that the colors seem a bit odd. I like that she moved to a “rainbow” for this project the last few years but the peachy pinks in this year are just odd. And why don’t those dividers have a yellow one included *cries* I’ll probably pick up the dividers and the mini kit. I think that should go together and be enough supplies for my TN size CT album.

I wasn’t loving the colors at first but based on the stamping video it looks like the kit colors are just her ink pad colors? which I do like.
I don’t need any of it but I am a FOMO buyer (and this is my favorite project) so I won’t kid myself. I still don’t understand all the font mixing in the kit but that started a couple years ago. That is odd coloring for the chipboard tags. I really like the mini kit. Wish they would update the journal to include a Reason Why page, or a Reason Why stamp would be nice. Not sure if I will use it but I am glad they are finally doing a Buy All button. Been wishing for that for awhile. Too bad it includes that ghastly peach colored album. Literally any other color in the collection would’ve been better!

LOVE the star album....but not the 10x8 size so it's a pass for me.
Seeing the main kit + morning/night mini all together makes me not hate it but I am not sure I need it either. Honestly, it would have been a slam dunk - just have for me if the star album was 6x8. =

Seeeing everything on the blog now.. *cries into the star album* it's so LOVELY but jeeez that size just isn't it for me.
Oh... oh wait. seeing everything laid out like that for the main kit peaks my interest a bit. I think it's those mega giant numbers at the top.
I really like those daily journaling things but again they're really only made for the 10x8. omg a buy all option to get a mug.. how many of the fangirls on facebook are gonna be posting mugs when their boxes come in? lmao If I do it I want to do something small and vertical.. maybe an out of the page protector 5x7 or something. I agree. I didn't like it til I saw it all together then having seen it, its growing on me.

The star album is very cute. I’m just not sure I have it in me to do another 8x10 album. I really don’t love much in the kits to be honest but this is my very favorite AE project. I keep my WITL stash very very small, no where near enough to do this kind of project. Bah.

For anyone on the fence about the star album: if it is anything like the Santa one from the DD release, it is easy to cut down. I cut down a Santa one to 8x8, it was super easy, and no one would be able to tell it didn't come like that.

I have to admit, I love the star album and the main kit! I haven't done week in the life in YEARS, but I might pull the trigger this year! I love that the products are bright and colorful this year, without overwhelming the photos or stories.

I like the pie chart plastic circles. Not the others in the set, just the pie charts. If I buy these, would you buy the pie charts? So half of them? I like the half circles and the days of the week but not really the pie charts.

I think 1/3 if the total are pie charts, but whichever you mean - yes, I’d be happy to.

I love this WITL project and am excited to do it this year. Here are my thoughts on the products ...
* HATE the 6x8 album - that peach is just meh. LOVE the 10x8 album but I HATE that SIZE so not going to work for me. They always do the cool album cover for the one that I don't like size-wise. I get wanting to offer multiple size options but am SHOCKED that people on the team were pleased with the peach option. UGH. The idea that everyone on the team was like yes, let's go with that pattern just shocks me, to be honest. I'll be finding another album for myself this year. * I like the main kit overall but hate how they keep trying to make it work for multiple sizes. I hate the 10x8 so the 10x8 stuff is annoying to me personally. I make the 4x4/10x8 stuff work but would rather not have to. I personally love Ali's handwriting but know that it's not for everyone. The colors work fine for me (and do seem to align with her inks) - in fact, I wish it was MORE colorful than it is. Would prefer less of all of the DIFFERENT fonts - the Ali handwriting + the cursive on the 4x6 cards/chipboard + the block font on the-ing words & stamps is a lot of different fonts ... would prefer some more consistency but I can deal with it. * Not a fan of the mini kit this year which is good since I usually buy both ... I can skip that this year. But, like that it will offer some people a new lens to tell stories through! * LOVE the transparencies since I like those to start my days with. LOVE the plastic circle pack. LOVE the 3x8 number + journaling inserts. So fun! Will also pick up the 6xx8 kraft documenting pages as I think they are very versatile for this project and just regular documenting I do. Love the 10x4 journal cards but won't buy them given their size. Wish that they were in another configuration that were more useful to the 6x8 size. * I'll be buying all the stamps except the Morning + Evening set as they are exactly what I get the most use out of for WITL and my regular documenting. The WITL sets are almost always those I use over and over and over again. I do wish there was an ALPHA in that -ing set font. But, it's fine. I'm sure I have plenty of others that will work for me if I wanted them to LOL. I think I have a set of numbers similar to that set so I may talk myself out of those but at this point, I'm buying them. I don't think I"ll use the Morning + Evening set enough to justify the cost but I don't dislike them.
All in all, I like the collection but totally get the critiques I'm reading here. I added it up and I'm looking at spending about $180 which is a bit excessive but I will definitely use it all so I'm okay with that for now.

I just realized the big numbers are part of the main kit. Bummer. I love them. Hopefully I'll be able to grab them later when they do a sale.
I'm into the mini kit and will probably get it. I think there are more than 7 big words so I have an idea for how to use just 7 of them. The font is great.
With what I have left from last year and the mini, I think I'll have more than enough. I'll go through my stash and pull out colors that match in pattern paper and embellishments.
Just hoping the citrus twist dusty surf (or whatever the heck it's called) will be a close enough match. That's the album I'm getting in the TN size.

My goodness, Ali……when will you stop being so obsessed with 10x8 size??? 😂
Is it that popular??! Someone please make it stop!

I'm surprised at how much of this year's WITL I like. I love the star album but I can't wrap my head around the 10x8 size for WITL (love it for DD though). Don't love the peach but I don't mind the printed days. So I don't know what I'll do for an album yet.
I think I like enough of the main kit to get it. I could do without the 4x4 cards (with 4 squares) because I think those will look weird if I have to cut them down to 3x4. I think I'll attach the Kraft pockets to the outside of a page somehow.
I like parts of the mini, but wouldn't use most of it for WITL. I could have used pieces in my recent trip album.
I like the 3x8 numbered chipboard pages & the Kraft pages. I like the circle set but don't feel like I have to have it. I like the page dividers but I'm not sure about them yet (feel like I'd have to cut out middle sections to get the portion that looks good for a 6x8 album).
Don't care for any of the stamps and have no need for the 10x4 cards (and don't like them anyway).
I'm curious how the "buy it all" option will go over--even if I did want it all, I'm not sure I'd want or need both albums.

She's really trying to shove that 10x8 down the scrapper's throat. Not a fan.
I think I might buy the main kit. And use my "Remember This" album because I can fit DITL & WITL in. I tend to make WITL far more complicated than it needs to be. It would be easier to complete if I follow the WITL "formula" from the kit.
I'm not a "Mornings Evenings" person but I could see how the prompts could work for people.
I first was going to just use the journal for WITL, but I already do Stop the Blur Memory Planner, so that would be double work.

@huskermom99 it's like you read my mind 🤣 with exception of the stamps...some look cool but I'm super gun shy of any stamps produced by Inked right now.
My list will probably include the main kit, the 3x8 numbered journal cards, the mini kit (lots of uses there) and as much as I love the stars album I'm not in the 10x8 market. I did it last year and the cost of photo printing the bigger photos was too much. I don't mind the 6x8 album, the color reminds me of Distress oxide dried marigold.

So I will be the weirdo here lol.
I like the peach album. I like the 10x8 size so I hope it sticks around, but I don't love the stars album. I may use one of last years albums for this project, or I might use the 6x8 peach album, not sure yet. I used to do the project right in my normal 8.5x11 album and have been thinking about going back to that too- so totally undecided. I normally buy the main kit but this is the second year in a row that I am not. I used the digital kit last year to make hybrid pages, so I might look into that this year. The only thing I like from the main kit are the kraft pockets. I am going to try to recreate them w/ some kraft cardstock and some of the stamps that I already own. I like the idea of a highlights page so I am going to create that in whatever size I chose to use. I like some, but not most of the mornings/evenings kit so I think I am going to recreate some of the pieces I like from that kit too. I love the kraft documenting pages and hope that the digital ones will translate well to something I can use over and over again. I plan to buy the physical ones also. I will probably buy duplicates of the alpha stickers- I love the font and hoard them in the other colors so... I do love all of the stamps so I will probably get all of those-I need to double check that I don't have a numbers set that is similar.

I bought the 10x8 album for last year's WITL. I have never worked with that size before so this will be a change for me. With that said, rather than a main kit and a mini kit, I don't understand why she doesn't do a kit aimed at 6x8 and a kit aimed at 10x8.

I like the page dividers but I'm not sure about them yet (feel like I'd have to cut out middle sections to get the portion that looks good for a 6x8 album). I agree about this. I didn't like how Krystal just chopped it off the right side. I would have centered the day of the week then chopped each side.

And she is usually so careful and precise (to the order of overthinking most things), so it surprised me she just cut it where it would be so lopsided.

Does anyone else find it weird that Krystal and Lisa also are on the design team for studio calico? I mean Krystal seems odd enough as she does a lot of work for Ali but I guess she’s like a free agent (lol). But Lisa is actually on staff at AE yet is on studio calico’s design team?

Krystal surprised me because I can’t recall her ever even using SC previously. It was mostly AE products, with occasional FYC stuff. I’m not sure what Lisa’s scrap habits were before. I just knew of her as the photo person for a long time. It actually wasn’t that long ago I realized that the Lisa Ali was always referring to was freckled pickle. I just knew her as Lisa V.

I agree and I think Ali seems to operate from a place of plenty vs scarcity mindset, meaning, she is not one to worry about exclusivity and I think as long as people fulfill their commitment to AE, she is pretty chill about what ever else they do. I personally, can't imagine having the bandwidth to do multiple design teams, but different things work for different people.

OK I either need to be talked down or nudged into this but I really like last years kit all of a sudden?!?!?! (I don't even hate all the awful gold, who am I? lol) And seeing she still has that 4x4 buildable travel album in stock has me looking at both for witl. everything fits into the 4x4 format except the 4x6's but cut down 2 of the squares on the left and it fits perfectly. I think I need to sit with these in my cart for a while and figure out of it's me being stressed out from life and the feeling of needing to spend money to control something or if I really want to do this.

Just watched your 2022 video. I love what you did with the circles on the acetate. I have a circle punch so that's actually something I can replicate!
I also love the idea to have those 3X8 pages in there with the prompt on the front and a photo on the back.
Great album and you did a really good job with the video.

Of course they’re shoving the 10x8 size down our throats as her company is the only one that offers supplies for this size so if you want cards, page protectors etc and don’t want to cut things down you’re stuck paying these prices!
