It isn't that I didn't notice while using them, it is that I haven't gotten a chance to. This makes more sense! I thought you meant you had been using it and not noticed. It's a moot point now because the kits have changed, but I actually find the new stamps to be good in some ways/bad in others. I understand about kits piling up with the best of intentions... I hope you find time to play with your products soon! Agree with lots of the OLW comments... happy to see I'm not the only one that felt completely uninspired by some of those prompts! I hope she changes the class up/project up next year... it used to be one of my favorite projects and now i'm skipping it! The purple paper in the present sort kit is horrific. Omg, I'm always annoyed there is nothing purple so I was sooo thrilled to see purple in this kit! I’m thinking present may be my word for 2024 so I decided to get the kit after all. I had this word before, I loved it!

Lots of good discussion on here about the different kits and projects. I am definitely still doing OLW, but will be curious to see the kit tomorrow to decide on if I am buying it. For me the class creates some accountability for me that I probably need even if I don't do the prompts, so I will likely pay for the accountability part and then do what I like most.
I wanted to like the SBTM or Story kits to dive back into one of both, but I am just not feeling either....I want to restart PL in 2024 because I have genuinely missed doing it, but I am struggling to find a kit I like and I will need a kit. I like the new structure of the SBTM, I just don't love the colors and designs for January. Hmmmmmm. Still thinking about it.

Can you buy the digital SBTM for January and change the colors and then see what February brings?

I love this month’s story kit. Ali’s projects with it are great and I really like the purple.

I love this month’s story kit. Ali’s projects with it are great and I really like the purple. After I saw this, I went over to the story classroom, and I agree that the projects are great. I bought the digital version, and if I don't like the purple, I can always tone down the opacity. I'm getting both the physical and digital of the SBTM kit for January. I still think it's a great value with all of the inspiration added. Pam Baldwin is one of the guest designers this time, and I look forward to seeing what she does with the kit. I also purchased the 6X8 papers but not the stamp. My concerns for the kit are similar to everyone else's. I think the birds and the vellum are really beautiful--but will I use them for my day-to-day scrapbooking? I'll hang on to my sub for now but will decide on it once I see February's kit.

I'm thinkingnof subbing for the SBTM kit since I canceled my SC kit, any deals or discount codes for new subscribers?

Ok, the OLW is out. Thoughts? I was really wanting some new 'blood' for the OLW class to sway me into taking it. But nope.

I ordered the folio for another project, the rainbow and pennant stamps, some page protectors and the class. I disliked the kit and I also have not really been liking my albums' lack of diversity in the products I use. I am going to shop my stash and maybe make some embellishments ahead of time and compile a kit that way.
This is my favorite project of the year so I am not ready to let it go quite yet lol.

Sky worms aside, I do like the kit, but I've never completed the project so I have no idea what is repeated. Are her kits and prompts repeated yearly? Since the colors are so blah, wondering if I can just print the digital 2018 I already have. Decisions.

I think the kit and the products are beautiful and I quite like them. My plan is to not buy anything and use my stash for this project since I have so much leftover OLW stuff. If I buy anything it would be the specialty papers. I like the album but prefer to use the old smaller spines they used to offer for this project. I have stockpiled a few from ebay.
Originally I was just going to take the class for the accountability but I’m not enthused by the contributors so I’m not sure. The class needs some new recruits!
I’m debating taking a year off but I do always like the end result and this is the only project that I have fully completed each year since 2018.
Side note: I wish they would do a “Reason Why” stamp with a WITL set & DD set. I need this stamp but I don’t like that pennant look.

I love OLW and totally don't need the kit given how much product I have from previous years but I'll buy it! HAHA That cursive-ish font in the kit isn't my favorite AT ALL but I like the addition of more brown/tan in this 2024 kit. I love the butterflies - they are my favorite as they remind me of my beloved grandmother. I also find I can use much of this kit in other projects but I just need to DO that, you know? It's usable stuff for me and my style.
I really get a lot of the comments here about the OLW class and content being less inspiring over time. But, it's working for me at this point ... I just do my own take on each prompt even for the ones that don't work for me per se. Like the poem to your word - that's not my vibe so I just do my own thing that time. So, I find the Ali content inspiring each month (she's really why I come for the OLW project, not the others on the team) and although I love some of the additional folks she has on the OLW team, I don't vibe with all of them. So, I guess I can see how the additional folks can be distracting to some. I was hoping that Krystal leaving the team would open up another person to join in to give another perspective but it looks like it's the same team minus Krystal. I guess if you're having a team, I wish there was another perspective added to replace Krystal so there continues to be a variety of voices in that team. But, it's all good. I'm still doing it even if some of the team members aren't my favorite. I just don't watch their content LOL in the classroom. Nor do I use their projects to inspire me. But, I like the idea of having those other voices as I'm sure they resonate with some of the community. But, OLW is not a project for everyone.

Ok, the OLW is out. Thoughts? I was really wanting some new 'blood' for the OLW class to sway me into taking it. But nope. Class: disappointed to see the regular lineup-lovely ladies, but I have the Class from 2019,20, 21, & 22. I doubt the content would have changed too much over these 4 years. Passing on the class. Main kit-I have bought the kit a few times, and I have the digitals from 4 years. Nothing stood out to me that yelled "BUY ME" (and there are 7 butterflies). I watched the overview, then went thru my digital kits-I have plenty to use digitally. Pass on the kit. I liked the album!! (Maybe it will be available as an add-on thru the year) I'm kind of bummed because I was hoping this would be a retail therapy birthday present for myself..but no.

Yes, you'd really think that would be an obvious product for them to have. This is such an obvious miss. They need a stamp with the OLW prompts and phrases from each year - I suspect it would sell out. I will get the class, the main kit, the album (altho prob not for OLW) and then need to make a decision about what I will do the project in. I like the look for the art journal, but the Christmas one I bought and the chipboard/cover material easily rips if you put tension on the cover - super disappointing. I don't love the plaid/check design, but I do like that container for the project so TBD. I actually like the first mini kit, but I'm not going for that - at least not now - just a big $$ commitment for a single project.

I’ve been thinking about doing OLW again this year. I tried in 2021 and didn’t make it far for a few reasons. I don’t think I’ll purchase anything though. I’ve got digital supplies from that year and will just use that stuff. The only purchase I’m toying with is an album. I really like the six ring for my JYC this year. Decisions…decisions…

Why do they have a huge sale with all of the “one kit I missed” items on the day I’m working so I miss most of the stuff I wanted to buy and now it’s sold out WHY 😭

That sale email arrived at just the right time. I’ve bought the OLW 2024 and album along with a bunch of other OLW mini kits and the 2022 main kit. Now, will I cave on the class? 🤔

I was tempted to buy some kits that were on sale and the $43 shipping charge scared me off. Nice of them to drop the price of the supplies only to recoup them through shipping. 🙄

I was surprised to see the Go scrapbook kit on sale so I picked that up with a few papers and embellishments that I didn't need.
My shipping was $11. I thought that was a bit high but I still paid less for everything plus shipping than I would have for just the kit.
A lot was sold out.

I ended up picking up a couple of 6x8 stamp sets that were $10. They were ones I'd been eyeing but didn't want to spend almost $30 on them. Plus a couple of small embellishments. My shipping was $6 which felt reasonable. There were a few other things I'd have loved to pick up but they went too fast! But, I feel like I got a couple of good deals anyway.
Also, my OLW order arrived today (SUPER DUPER FAST) but the album is all messed up. The binding has a tear and both sides are smooshed. I started a conversation so hopefully, they'll send a replacement. But, I had just had to contact them about my Present story kit because the plastic word came all jumbled up - it was balled up in the corner of the packaging. And I want a replacement. So, I'm not excited about having two items coming shipped in bad shape!

I picked up a SBTM, stamp set, WITL vellum cards, heart stitched pockets, WILT Mini Kit Bundle, Now Story Kit, and OLW Main Kit 2022, so I'm doing OLW for 24!
This was the retail therapy I was looking for!
I subscribe to the Story Kit, and lots of "Present" components could go nicely with a WITL, along with the "Now" Story Kit.

I had been waiting to purchase OLW KIT + album (for other use) and got several sale items including this last years OLW journal for a great piece. Spent over 100 so shipped free. Really nice deal.

My dumb@$$ bought a bunch of stuff last week on an impulse. So today I just had to go back and buy a few more things I had passed on last week.
I’m planning a year long freeze in 2024 so I justified it 😜

I added on the subscriber discount and got the most current travel kit for $9. I also added a variety of embellishments and my shipping was $6. I feel like a got a good deal.

OK, I swore to myself I would skip the One Little Word class this coming year because I enjoyed doing my own thing this past year. I feel it beckoning to me, though. I've had a rough time with my emotions towards the second half of the year (grief, anxiety, etc.), and I'm thinking it might be good to be part of a community. I also kinda like the digital kit that comes with the class. The font is new (even though I know it's not everyone's favorite), and there is so much I can do to change up the colors digitally. There are a couple of contributors I don't care for, but I miss being part of something. Any thoughts?
