My SbtM has arrived. Fina-effin'-ly. Just a week longer than for Millefeuilles who lives IN THE SAME CORNER OF THE COUNTRY as I do. Naughty, naughty kit! Maybe your kit is not naughty. Maybe it is adventurous and took the scenic route? Did you ever think of that?...  |

That's really interesting. I'm surprised since the kids are still young...meaning if she wanted to keep things 100% civil for them then it would make the most sense not to comment on him at all until they're grown. Not knocking her because that's an issue in lots of marriages. Just surprised. I was surprised as well - Simon is older (16, now), but Anna is still so young. She wasn't 'dogging' him badly - but for me, she added details I didn't think were appropriate. I've always admired how well she dealt with divorce and didn't put everything out there. I just listed to this podcast...she mentioned this really lightly and tastefully IMHO. |

I decided to start my WITL next Monday. Anyone else? I just finished mine this past Friday and am putting the album together. I'm glad I'm done.  I understand that! I like WITL, but it is a lot of work. |

My AE sub was activated last week (I want Grow, learn, light, etc.), the kit (Type) was shipped on the 26th and started moving on May 1st. I received it today--meaning that I almost received another kit during that extra week you waited. I'm further up north from you, so perhaps I'm benefiting from being nearer to Lyons; but that's still confusing. Did you go for a 6-month sub? I'm waiting to see whether I like Technology. Will definitely need to try to score Light as it's my OLW. No, I'm still month-to-month. I'm not sure I want to sub for 6 months in case there is a sudden decrease in quality or the euro drops. But I do like the 6 upcoming themes. |

I just listed to this podcast...she mentioned this really lightly and tastefully IMHO. I listened to most of the podcast today and I agree with amp. Not a lot of tea was spilled. Nothing that ought to hurt the kids much. I would've liked a few more speculative verbs on her behalf ("I think Chris didn't like that I was now earning more money than him.") but otherwise, it was all pretty tame and honest. I definitely walked away from the interview with the idea that Ali didn't know what to do in life from a professional point of view so focused on getting married rather young, having kids while being a stay-at-home mother. Then she discovered her graphic design love, kept it on sidelines, rekindled her love for it while trying to make a baby album for Simon and then it was a rather quick climb through the SB world until her brand started taking off. No, I'm still month-to-month. I'm not sure I want to sub for 6 months in case there is a sudden decrease in quality or the euro drops. I feel ya. I'm also not willing to lock myself in with my SbtM stamp sets piling up, completely unused. |

I thought it was an interesting podcast, and I didn't think Ali said anything inappropriate. I felt it was more of a general "Chris wasn't happy with his job and it was hard for him to see me be happy and fulfilled in mine" - I doubt she would have said that if she thought it was hurtful or her ex-husband would have a problem with it. I thought it was very fair.
I tried to listen to some of the other episodes and just couldn't make it through. One woman just takes sooooo long to make her point and I can't take it. I listened to their top 5 favourite products epidose, and hearing her go on about an acrylic block was just too boring. I wanted to love it but I just didn't.

I don't think her ex necessarily needed to be there to defend himself but I do think nuance in her choice of how to phrase her (very likely correct) perception of what broke up their marriage would have been more than welcome. "I think that..." "It seemed to me..." "In retrospect, I feel that..." "Perhaps the change in dynamic, both financially and work vs family time related, contributed to, if not was the main catalyst for the demise of our marriage." I mean, it's all in the words and someone whose brand relies on storytelling should've paid attention to how she put out the message. Then again, there is no greater work of fiction than an autobiography as the literary folks say...  And by that I don't mean that we blatantly lie about ourselves and our lives (well, some do) but rather that we do correct our retelling of past events to fit our perception and remaining feelings of said events and their consequences. |

Is Chris still a politician? That could have some direct impact on him. On the other hand, she has never spoken about her divorce except for very factual facts. Who knows? Maybe someone didn't bother having these filters and she reciprocated. Or more likely, she was discussing her career and got a bit carried away. It's not easy being a woman entrepreneur and that had a direct impact on her personal life. |

Is Chris still a politician? That could have some direct impact on him. Per Wikipedia, he's currently working "in an administrative role at the University of Oregon overseeing the creation of the new Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact (a research campus of the University of Oregon expected to open in 2020)." I'd say this is in no way a definitive retirement from politics or a position that's not connected to social networking and one's public relations impact. |

Yes, it was. I printed it out in 2016 when I last did the project. I think each page had different layout options...full 6x8, 2 4x6s, 1 4x6 with 2 3x4s, etc. It was awesome to help visualize what I needed to print.

Aren't these usually in the December Daily posts? It seems like they are usually at the very end of her pre-planning for December Daily. |

I haven't used the SBTM stamps either.
I do use the KP and Gossamer Blue stamps a lot but the AE ones are harder to work in.

Thanks paperamy. That's good to know! I'm ready for some fresh add-ons! I'm taking this back to Ali's recent guest appearance on the Crafty Ass Females podcast. After the chatter here I was curious so I listenef to the entire podcast and I actually found it quite interesting. Even though I have been scrapbooking since 2004, there were a lot of things that I learned about Ali. I will still keep to my same opinion and say that those are two hosts that I can't handle listening to lol. I enjoyed Ali though.  |
