I start my 3 day crop today. So looking forward to catching up on my PL album. I'm determined to NOT over pack! 😂 I love a multi-day crop. One day is too much packing/unpacking. This is at my LSS so I get to sleep in my own bed. I'll post updates on my progress. Anyone else with scrappy plans this weekend? For our peas in devastated areas I wish you progress in recovery this weekend.

Have a great time!! You have the best of both worlds - able to grab forgotten items from home and being able to buy at the LSS! I always have intentions to scrapbook. Maybe this is the weekend it happens. h!

Sending you good-crop-neighbours vibes! I hope you manage to catch up with PL and will have a lot of fun... I'm about to start a 4x6 mini album about the end of summer as a test run to see if I'd like to use this format for DD this year. I need to grab my electronic typewriter and start typing.

That sounds like fun! The great thing about a crop at a LSS, is you don't have to pack everything. You can buy it there!

I would love to be going to your crop! Where is it?
I just paid the balance on a 3 day retreat I have in November.

myboysnme I'm in Omaha. The LSS (Busy Scrappin') is big on crops and 2-3 times a year they do big 3 day crops.

Wow! I'm impressed with your supply restraint. But when you think about it, that's all you really need to create some great pages. Have fun. So jealous here - my 3 day retreat isn't until November.

You will get so much done with fewer supplies!

My oldest DD will come tomorrow, and we will make the bases and preparation for 5 minialbum (2 big and 3 small) we will finish at a 2 day crop in two weeks. The albums is for her ILs as christmaspresents. I have promised to help her and hope that at the end of the crop everything is done. It is a big crop (200 people) and we will be with my sister, our mother and a couple of good friends.

If you forget anything, can't you bring it the next day? If I go to a 3-4 day crop, I pack different projects in different bags. That way if I finish one project, I can bring it out to the car and roll the next tote in. It works well for me.

I personally travel light so it looks to me like you have a nice mix of things to work with. I won't be able to scrap for a couple of weeks so at least someone is will be having a fun weekend. Have a great time!

Looks like ypu're well prepared and focused! Have a great time!
I just pulled out my 9x12 pocket page album that I need to catch up on. You're inspiring me to go to the Expo crop here in November to work on it.

I'm always amazed at the amount of stuff people bring to a crop.

I'm always amazed at the amount of stuff people bring to a crop. I know! Some of those carts they bring are the size of a refrigerator. Packing and hauling that much stuff would stress me out immensely. I like your lean approach a lot better.

Have fun! I think I would prefer the multi-day crop to an all day crop as well.
My computer isn't loading right this morning and my craft desk is clean. I'm taking it as a sign to start a traditional page. But it will be only a few minutes here and there kind of weekend with other things taking precedence.

Packing and hauling that much stuff would stress me out immensely. I like your lean approach a lot better. They have carts as large as a refridgerator??? LOL. If I had a cart that size and could figure out how to get it into my vehicle, I prob would use it at home to organize my scrap crap, then just roll it out the door and down the ramp, load it, and then zip off to the crop! I tend to be "one of those ladies" who brings a LOT of stuff to a crop, but I feel less disoriented before, during and after the crop if I don't disrupt my storage system too much. So I tend to take ALL my ink pads, for example, rather than selecting a few to take and then having to return them to their stand when I get home. Today, though, I am off to card class with a very light shoulder tote. Not sure how heavy it will be when I come back home...

I'm completely caught up on my PL. I'm now sorting through a million copies of newspapers for the book i'm doing for someone else. Thank god most of it was duplicates!!! It's all newspaper clippings for a high school soccer player. Her dad wants to have it all scrapbooker for her.
Maybe i'll try and work on my 2015 DD. Who am I kidding, it's never gonna get done.

My whole stash is light. I have everything I own in one Rubbermaid container and two paper totes. I am a kit scrapper.

I'm always amazed at the amount of stuff people bring to a crop. I know when someone is talking about me. I own that. I roll in with my MacWagon. I have my packing down to a science though. At the end of the day, I rarely use half of what I brought, but what if I NEED it?

So am I, but then there are punches and inks, and so many other embellishments that could be used if the layout doesn't look right. . I know that I can add more when I get home, but logic escapes me when I pack.
