I love summer. Love love love summer. Wish it was summer all year. Couldn't care less about seasons. I like warm weather (though Tucson, where I lived for 13 years, was a bit much) and I love long days. I never tire of feeling sunshine on my skin. When hubby retires we are planning to move somewhere warm and sunny, though we're not sure where. I don't like fall. I'm sad when August becomes September. The weather here in September is often still nice, which helps, but the shortening days become very noticeable. Yes, I do have SAD (seasonal affective disorder). I haven't needed to use my lights yet, but I do own them. This time of year I just start thinking, "Okay, I just have to hang on for 7 months then it'll be May again." Yeah, that's not even much of an exaggeration. The weather here in the PNW is much like in southern England where I was born and raised, and Seattle's about 4 degrees farther south, so the long summer days and dark winter days are also what I knew as a child. I'm not sure where the absolute craving for light, sun and warmth came from. So you can keep your "crisp" weather, the turning leaves, scarves, layered outfits. Heck, I'd even give up my pumpkin spice latte if I could just have summer 365.

Fall is my favorite. The days are still warm, but it cools off quickly in the evening and the air is brisk.

I used to love summer, but this year idk...I'm sweaty when it's 70 outside, so I hate summer. Bring me the highs of 55 and I'll be in heaven.

I like everything but the cold, dark winter days. Our days are usually sunny regardless of the season though. Last night I was out watering the flower pots and it was cold. Seems a little early for summer to be that chilly. I know Sunday is supposed to be a high of 53. Too cold.

Well, living in southern England as you used to OP, I hear you! I dislike the shorter days, and the thought of all the grey days ahead isn't fun. It'll probably rain a lot, I hate bulky winter clothes and layers, I hate being cold often, especially my fingers, I hate my skin drying out, I don't like having to scrape my car in the morning...blah blah. Give me summer any day

Me! I am also in the PNW (SW Washington) and I was thoroughly enjoying our summer with no rain (until the smoke rolled in)... Counting down the days until the middle of June when it stops raining again...

I would love fall if it wasn't followed by winter. I loathe winter. So, I don't love fall because it means winter.is.coming.

I hate fall! It don't like how early it is getting dark, I don't like that I will have to put away my shorts, t-shirts and flip flops, I don't like that summer is over. I love this upper 80 weather that we are having! But I know that it will get cold and rainy soon and the sun won't make much of an appearance. Those are some of the reasons I dislike fall.
I love summer so much!

Yes and no but this year mostly because we've been to hell and back since Feb. So I'm ready for changes and even cooler weather. I'm one of the few that enjoys the hot summers and being in the pool etc.. I just don't like to wear long sleeves or jeans if I have to.

nope, sorry... fall is my fave season. i like summer because it means cottage, lake, road trips, kids off school, slower pace but i HATE the heat, HATE the humidity and HATE sweating. i love legging and cozy sweaters, i love changing leaves, crisp nights with the windows open and most importantly... no bugs.

Our summers are generally pretty delightful and our falls quite rainy and lacking the charm the season may have elsewhere, so no, I don't love fall.

I've come to hate fall. I have tons of shoots and weddings. Everyone gets all worked up over getting pics at the last second. I get stressed out and work overtime!

Me. I like warm or even hot weather. I wear flip flops all year. My 'winter coat' is a light sweater, I usually just use it in cold restaurants. Below 60° I freeze. I'm just not made for cold weather, must be the salt water in my veins.

I used to love fall, but in recent years, I have come to prefer spring because although autumn in Connecticut is a delight, the winters are SO long here. I hate the encumbrance of layers when I exercise and the chill wind hitting me in the face. I hate the short days and darkness. I hate the drab brown ugliness and mud.

I love fall! My only complaint is that our fall is so short, followed by a long, loooooong winter.

I like anything that isn't winter. Unfortunately for me, I live where it feels like it's winter 6-7 months of the year so there's already a lot to not like!

I do and I don't.
I'm sad when summer ends. Fall feels like a bell tolling to warn me that winter is on the way. I still do have the excitement, though, of a new school year and fresh crayons.

I don't like fall because it leads to winter. I HATE winter. We moved south to get away from most of the cold and yuck. I miss the long days. I would take summer year round!

Zella, I live about 40 miles north of you and I agree completely. I did not think it was ever going to stop raining this year and even though we did end up with a decent (and smoky) summer I am so sad to see it go. All I see in the future is at least 6 to 8 months of rain, cold and gray - uck!!! Often spring is just an extension of winter here

I despise Fall- it's like a slow death to me. I don't like the mess of the leaves and it getting dark early. I don't like the chill in the air- thankfully we haven't had much, yet. I'm a summer girl and live in the deep hot and humid South and love it!

I don't like winter, but I love fall. The leaves are slightly turning colors here in Tennessee and I wouldn't mind cooler temps. I do love long summer days and always look forward to summer.

Me! I am also in the PNW (SW Washington) and I was thoroughly enjoying our summer with no rain (until the smoke rolled in)... Counting down the days until the middle of June when it stops raining again... LOL, I hear you! The Peas should know this about the Seattle area over the last year: October 2016 - May 2017 was the rainiest 8 months since record keeping began (47.24 inches). Yes, we had 8 months of rain, rain and more rain. With a touch of rain for good measure. Oh, and a couple of days of snow. Then Summer officially ends at midnight tonight (for record keeping purposes). This will have been the warmest and driest since recordkeeping began. And from late June to mid August we went 55 days without measurable rain at SeaTac airport, blowing the prior record of 51 days out of the water. It's been very odd going from so wet, cloudy and gloomy to so dry and warm (and hazy for a bit too, from the smoke). Once this summer got going it really was quite lovely.
