Did you ever go an entire day without "outrage"?

And this is exactly what the pea upthread meant when she referred to "privilege".

I have lots of joy in my life.

I choose not to pretend to normalize or give the douchebag a pass when it comes to the damage he does on a daily basis.

Talking Trump is the anti-Christ to joy. So therefore the only joyful thing that could be equated to Trump would be that he would implode and cease to exist. Pence too. They are disgusting, deplorable men.

mrs. Sanctimonious "truecolors" doesn't have the outrage, as you say because you're like trump & pence. Why would you need to be outraged when you align with their ilk? Attacking liberals and gaslighting on their behalf--shoot--you're a shoe in for a cabinet position, you should go sign up!

Short answer...Yes.

I suppose it does comes down to "privilege" and a conscious effort sometimes.  Then there are the many days that I feel enough outrage to fuel multiple days.   

We have a camp that does not have internet access and I do not have a smart phone.  TV channels are just local over the air.  Most days that I am at camp we are busy doing other things and don't always get a chance (or make the time) to watch the news.  I can go days without outrage there.  As a matter of fact I was just there for the last 2 weeks of September with good friends and can't think of any outrage incidences...now that is a true vacation.

Of course during these short periods of outrage free time I certainly know that there are things going on that would make me upset, but I make an effort to bury my head in the sand.

I also do not have a Facebook account - so no outrage there.

I do often read the comments on news stories from various news agencies and I will  tell you that almost always immediately brings on the outrage.

I think that's the most Laurenesque thing you've ever said. You are such a sad, bored old lady. 

My guess is that you're back picking arguments because your marriage failed and this is your only other avenue for social interaction.

It's so rich that you've spent several years being outraged by Obama (even now, that he's not in office) but you want to handslap others for being outraged by the idiot in chief.

It's comforting, in a way, to know that you'll never change. I'm just glad you aren't dragging poor Alan Rickman into your ugliness anymore

Exactly how often do YOU achieve that? It must only be on those days you don't post here.

It appears there is some history I'm not previously aware of here, maybe it is my time to step out. I don't think I understand "claim to do" but my kids just got out of school so I don't think I will take the time to list my credentials. For me it's just a feeling of disappointment in some of the people in my country. And a feeling of sadness for my children.

No... being able to take a break from the worlds problems by turning off Facebook is a form of privilege that people who can't turn off their everyday lives and the inequities in them don't have. 

I'm not sure that the people mentioned give two figs about whether someone on the interwebs thinks they are "angry every single day and have lives without joy". I'm confused as to the intent of your accusation. It sounds pretty presumptuous and certainly not based in fact.

I haven't given a single thought to Liz (& Juan) since the last time Lauren posted about her and I doubt 99% of the other regular posters here have either, Lauren is the only one who ever brings up her name because she's the only one who ever had that feud and a total obsession with Liz.
I have to admit the significance of that post & those names passed me by (although the true ID was already confirmed as far as I was concerned)...nice pick-up.
