Baked ziti and garlic bread. A tad bit time consuming, but not hard, and very tasty. KelleeM, I'm guessing you are working off your phone or a tablet... if DD sleeps with a fan for the white noise, and if you or your DD have iTunes or other streaming service, she might want to look up some white noise tracks. When I started going to an overnight retreat, I downloaded some white noise tracks to help me sleep. (There are little fans but that wasn't quite working for me.)

Wow. Lots going on w/the tribe today. KelleeM and teddyw, you both need to meet in the middle so that Kellee will have power and Teddy will have water. JoP and jeremysgirl, Happy Birthday to your hubby and Ds respectively. Restless Spirit, I'm sorry that you're having a tough time w/your med and that it's affecting your gi tract. If this continues please call your doc. The Birdhouse Lady, I'm very glad that you went to your ds and took charge. What a frightening moment. Those antibiotics are really tough on the body, but life saving nevertheless. Is your ds home w/a PICC line and on more antibiotics?

He doesn't want cold tofu with ponzu, doesn't really eat eggs unless he has to and doesn't want bread. I think his only option really is soup. He'd be making his own breakfast.

What did he eat when he was away at school, Delta Dawn? I'm happy to make dinner most nights, but everyone is on their own for breakfast & lunch. Mine aren't picky, but they still only get one meal a day from me. The Birdhouse Lady, how scary! Hopefully your DDIL will override your DS next time, call you and head to the ER.

He'd be making his own breakfast. My thought, too. What did he eat when he was away at school, Delta Dawn ? I'm happy to make dinner most nights, but everyone is on their own for breakfast & lunch. Mine aren't picky, but they still only get one meal a day from me. Probably soup. It's so easy to make. My dad eats it, too, though. I don't mind making it. I don't mind the shopping for it or anything. I worry because that's what I do well. I would like him to eat more food at breakfast, though. It's part of being an Okaasan that I learned from my Okaasan in Japan. She fed me really well (it's just the way things were there) and I feel I owe it to her to take care of him the same way. Do you think I can get away with going to the grocery store only once in a day? I was in there and i was so smug. I know better. I went to the fish counter to get mussels and thought "HEY I AM DONE!!!" and went and paid. If I didn't get home and then realize that I still need to get lunch food for the men for the week. WTF was I thinking not buying the food I needed. My dad doesn't want to grocery shop much anymore. He is 75 and is relying on me to shop now. It's ok. He still goes to buy fruit or yoghurt, but I do the main shopping now. Also my head, back and neck are killing me. I am not sure why either. I haven't done anything strenuous other than almost getting my purse stolen when it was beside me. That just ticked me off more than was stressful. I don't deserve this kind of pain.
